Installation

Installation Procedures
First, disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery terminal, then complete the wiring, and finally mount the unit on the dash.

Procedures

  • **** +12V DC Negative Ground.
  • Only support speakers of 4 ohms or above.

Connect all necessary wires including the optional PA microphone. Next, slide the head unit into the mounting sleeve until it clicks into place. The head unit is now mounted into the dash.
Mounting
This unit is designed to be installed in a dash that has an opening size as shown below.

MountingInsert the mounting sleeve into the dashboard, and then bend the tabs of the metal sleeve with a screwdriver to fasten the metal sleeve. Make sure that the lock lever is flush with the mounting sleeve (not projecting outward).

Overview

  1. MUTE
    Mute or restore volume.

  2. Control Knob
    Rotate to adjust volume, or select submenu options/setting values.
    Press to access and select menu options.

  3. LCD Display
    Shows the current status.

  4. USB Charging Port (1A)
    Connect to charge a mobile phone. Not for media playback.

  5. Front AUX Jack (3.5 mm)
    Connect to a mobile phone or MP3 player for audio input.

  6. Reset Button
    Reset the unit if the unit fails to operate properly .

  7. CLOCK
    Press to display clock.

  8. / SRC
    Press to turn on the unit; press and hold to turn the unit off.
    During power-on, press to select a source: front Aux-in or rear Aux-in.

General Operation

Turn on/off

  • Press to turn on the unit. Press and hold to turn off the unit.

Select a source

  • During power-on, press SRC repeatedly to select a source: AUX IN-F (front 3.5mm Aux-in) or AUX IN-R (rear RCA Aux-in).

Set clock

  1. During power-on, press the control knob until “CLOCK” is displayed.
  2. Rotate the control knob clockwise to adjust the minutes; rotate counterclockwise to adjust the hours.
    The clock will be set after three seconds of button inactivity.

Adjust/Mute volume

  • Rotate the control knob to increase or decrease volume.
  • Press the control knob to mute or restore volume.

Audio settings

  1. During power on, repeatedly press the control knob to access and select the menu options.
  2. When a menu option is displayed, rotate the control knob to adjust values or settings. The settings will be made after three seconds of button inactivity, then the menu option will automatically exit.
    – BASS: Change output level for bass sound.
    – TREBLE: Change output level for treble sound.
    – BALANCE: Adjust left-to-right speaker output balance.
    – FADER: Adjust front-to-rear speaker output balance.
    – EQ: Select a preset sound mode: CLASS, ROCK, POP, FLAT, or OFF.
    – Loudness: Enable or disable the loudness function. Enabling will boost the output level of low and high frequencies.
    – CLOCK: Set clock. See the section “Set clock” for details.

Reset
Reset the unit when the LCD does not display normally, the sound is distorted, or if any of the controls become disabled. Press the RESET button with a pin to reset the unit.

PAK104 PA Microphone

This unit supports the PAK104 microphone (not included) for public addresses. Connect a PAK104 microphone to the microphone input on the back of the unit.
Hold down the push-to-talk button on the microphone to activate. PA signal will automatically switch in regardless of other sources being in.
PA volume is also adjustable via the volume control on the microphone.
PA volume control from the microphone is not applicable to the AUX source volume setting of the unit.

Audio Input
The unit supports audio input through 3.5mm AUX jack on the front or the RCA sockets on the back.
3.5mm AUX input
Using an audio cable with 3.5mm plug, connect the AUX jack on the front to the headphone jack on your mobile phone or MP3 player. Then press SRC to select “AUX IN-F” (front AUX input).
RCA audio input
Using an audio cable with RCA plugs, connect the RCA sockets on the back to RCA audio outputs on a playback device (e.g. a CD player or VCR). Then press SRC to select “AUX IN-R” (rear AUX input).

USB Charging

The USB port on the unit only supports charging a mobile phone, and the maximum charging capacity is 5V / 1A. The USB port is not used for media playback.
