Truthbrush Tracker
The Truthbrush tracker is a small, decorative, device that can be placed on any manual or electric toothbrush. It is designed to monitor brushing activity and to identify patterns that can be improved. The device starts to monitor when picked up and stops when placed back down. The activity data is recorded and analyzed to determine the brush time, duration, and coverage. Users can view brush information for their family in the Truthbrush mobile application and can share the data with their dentist. A Truthbrush Hub is required and is sold separately.
Control button
The control button is used to start the tracker and connect it to the
Truthbrush mobile application.
Turn on Tracker
Press and hold on the top of the sensor for 1 second to turn the tracker on.
The single press is used to make the tracker wirelessly discoverable to the
Truthbrush mobile application. You will hear a single, solid beep lasting for
1 second.
Making Tracker Discoverable After It was previously turned on
Sometime the tracker needs to be put into discoverable mode after it has been
previously turned on. For example, then the tracker needs to be configured for
a different owner. To do this, quickly double press on the top of the tracker.
A single, solid beep lasting for 1 second can be heard.
Turning Tracker Off
To turn off tracker completely, quickly press the tracker’s button for 6
times. You will hear it beeps quickly for 5-6 times. After turned off, tracker
will not sense any movement and cannot report brush activities.
Battery
The tracker comes with a built-in 3v lithium battery that will last for
approximately 6 months of normal use. At the end of its life cycle it needs to
be properly recycled. Do not dispose it together with regular household waste
to minimize impact on environment and health of humans. For more information
on where and how to recycle, visit: https://www.truthbrush.com/#/compliance
Speaker
The tracker contains a speaker that beeps when a user has brushed for the
desired amount of time. The beep timer can be configured in the mobile
application and communicated to the device.
Skin
Truthbrush trackers come in a variety of decorative designs. The skin is a
wrap that surrounds the device and helps to protect it from wear.
Warning: Do not remove the skin. Decorative skin is part of tracker’s
outer housing. Improper removal can cause damage to the housing and making the
tracker vulnerable to dust and water.
Water-resistant
The tracker is IPX4 water-resistant and will work properly under normal
brushing conditions. This includes the water and toothpaste that may contact
the tracker during brushing and cleaning. Do not submerge the tracker in
water. Keep tracker dry and clean.
Setup Your Truthbrush
The tracker can be used with any manual or electric toothbrush. It can be transferred from one toothbrush to another and is associated to a specific user profile. The following instructions are used to setup the tracker:
Operate Your Truthbrush
Data Collection
The Truthbrush tracker works automatically and begins monitoring when the user
lifts the toothbrush for use. There is no need to remember to start tracking
or connect the device to a mobile phone. The tracker works seamlessly with the
Truthbrush hub to collect all data accurately and reliably. All tracker
activity data is sent and analyzed in real-time by the Truthbrush service.
Only the actual brush activity will be visible in the Truthbrush application.
Simply moving the toothbrush to put it away or cleaning does not represent
toothbrushing.
View Brush Data
Data collected during tracking sessions is displayed in the Truthbrush mobile
application.
Family data
The home page displays a card for each member of the family that has a tracker
and profile. The card displays progress towards a weekly goal with contextual
tips to help improve performance.
User summary
The user summary displays a chart much like any fitness app that you may be
familiar with. The chart shows morning and nighttime brush activity for the
week. Users can view all activities including a calendar that allows them to
scan all past brush events. Overall performance shows the users performance
vs. others in their age group. Device information provides a link to manage
the tracker and set the beep timer.
Brush detail
Users can view the detail of individual brush sessions including the actual
brush duration, brush coverage, and motion analysis.
