Dear Friends, thank you for choosing AGU. We present you the baby scales
your best assistant for the successful growth of the baby. This Electronic
Baby Scales with Stadiometer AGU BSS1 are a high quality product incorporating
the latest technology and tested in accordance with international standards.
These scales can be used with a mobile application for your smartphone. With
its unique technology, this device can provide a stable reading with each
measurement. Please read the manual carefully to ensure the correct and safe
operation of the device. The manufacturer will not be responsible for the
operation of the scales if the rules of operation described herein would be
violated. Please keep this user manual for the entire period of use.
Please read this User’s manual to the end before you start using the
Electronic Baby Scales with Stadiometer AGU BSS1.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This multipurpose device can measure 2 main parameters: a baby’s weight and height. With the help of a special application the device allows you to build the graph of your baby’s weight and height change and compare it to the WHO recommendations, as well as keep a colorful diary with photos to remind you about the happy moments of the growth. The scales provide for storing the parameters of 8 different users (maximum).

MAIN TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
- The scales fix the last reading of the day and provide for its comparison with the next value.
- The memory can store up to 15 readings (15 days statistics function; available when using the Application).
- The device shows the difference between readings (the function is available when using the Application except a guest mode).
- Application (if used) stores and provides for the comparison of all readings. · When the batteries are changed, all data in the scales will be deleted
(all data in the Application will be retained).

BUTTON FUNCTIONS
- Turn on/off; zeroing of readings.
- Saving the reading (one short press).
- Switching units from in/lb to cm/kg (holding the button).
- Choose user (user is created in the Application beforehand).
SAFE OPERATION INSTRUCTION
Read this User Manual carefully before using the Electronic Baby Scales with Stadiometer AGU BSS1.
- Unsafe operation of the device will void the warranty.
- Do not leave the baby unattended when weighing.
- Do not subject the scales to sharp temperature changes, humidity and dust.
- Use the scales strictly in accordance with the intended purpose and this manual.
- Take good care of the scales, do not overload them. Avoid using the scales under direct sunlight and near heat sources (cookers, radiators, etc.).
- Keep the scales away from water. Clean the scales platform with a damp cloth, and the lower part of the device with a dry cloth or tissue. When cleaning the scales, use only neutral cleaning agents.
- Do not disassemble the scales.
- Do not attempt to repair the scales by yourself contact the service center.
- Do not subject the device to shock and vibration.
- When moving the scales, hold it with both hands.
- Place the scales on a horizontal, hard and even, non-vibrating surface. Otherwise the scales readings may be inaccurate or incorrect.
- Insert the batteries strictly according to the polarities indicated. Do not use old and new batteries at the same time.
- If the scales are not used for a long period of time (more than 3 months), remove the batteries.
PREPARATION FOR WORK
- Open the battery cover in the lower part of the scales.
- Insert new batteries according to the polarities shown. *(for the first start, just remove the plastic stopper).
- Close the battery cover.
- Place the scales on a horizontal, hard and even, non-vibrating surface. Placing the scales on a soft and/or uneven surface (e.g. on a carpet, linoleum, etc.) may result in incorrect readings.
WARNING
- Please do not expose the batteries to high temperatures and dispose them properly. Keep them away from small children.
- It is recommended to remove the batteries if the unit is not used for an extended period of time. Batteries and electronic devices should be disposed of in accordance with local legal regulations and never dispose of them with normal household waste.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES WITHOUT USING THE APPLICATION
HOW TO MEASURE THE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT
To ensure the accuracy of readings, place the scales on an even and hard
surface before use.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS OF MEASURING THE WEIGHT:
- Using the tare function;
- Not using the tare function. For maximum precise measurement results we recommend using the tare function for weighing the baby.
USING THE TARE FUNCTION
Use this function for weighing the baby on an underpad, in a nappy and/or clothes.

Press the «ZERO» button to turn the scales on. The screen will light up white, then the zero value of weight will show.

Put the underpad/nappy/ clothes on the scales.

Press the «ZERO» button once. The weight reading will be reset the display will show zero. The scales are ready for measuring.

Carefully place the baby on the scales. The display will show the baby’s weight.

Press the «HOLD» button to fix this parameter.

The scales will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. In order to turn off the scales by force, press and hold the «ZERO» button for 3 seconds.
NOT USING THE TARE FUNCTION
- Press the «ZERO» button to turn the scales on. The screen will light up white, then the zero value of weight will show. The scales are ready for measuring.
- Carefully place the baby on the scales. The display will show the baby’s weight.
- Press the «HOLD» button to fix this parameter.
- The scales will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. In order to turn off the scales by force, press and hold the «ZERO» button for 3 seconds.
MEASURING WEIGHT AND HEIGHT

Press the «ZERO» button to turn the scales on. The screen will light up white, and then the zero value of weight will show. The scales are ready for measuring.

Pull the silicone cover out and insert the overhead limiter in its place. .

Pull up and open the bottom limiter sideways until it clicks to put the device into the height measuring mode. The initial value of 46.0 cm will show on the screen.

- Note: if this does not happen, make sure that the handle is in the initial position and press the «ZERO» button to set the starting height parameter of 46.0 cm and weight parameter of 0.00 kg.

Carefully place the baby on the scales so that the head touches the top limiter, and the feet touch the vertical limiter of the measurement board.

The weight and height of the baby will be shown on the screen.

Press the «HOLD» button to fix this parameter.

Take the baby off the scales and remove the underpad.

The scales will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. You can also press and hold the «ZERO» button for 3 seconds to turn off the scales by force.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES WITH USING THE APPLICATION

Install the application. Variant 1: go to AppStore/PlayMarket and enter «AGU» into the search box, then download the application. Variant 2: for direct download scan this QR-code.

Set up wireless communication with the smartphone: . Before using the application make sure that wireless communication in your phone/tablet is on. b. Go to the «Settings» menu to turn this function on.

Start the application.

Register or login with a social network.

Select the device to connect to.

Enter the necessary data about the baby.

Turn the device on and press «Connect».
HOW TO MEASURE THE BABY’S WEIGHT AND HEIGHT
To ensure the accuracy of readings, place the scales on an even and hard surface before use.
User number:
If information about several babies has been entered in the Application,
they shall be assigned sequence numbers from 1 to 8.
If the telephone is not at hand, you can select the number with the button. Numbers from 1 to 8 the baby’s sequence number.
If no number is mentioned, the guest mode is on.
Note: guest mode is the mode when the readings will not be saved in the
scales and telephone.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS OF MEASURING THE WEIGHT:
- Using the tare function;
- Not using the tare function. For maximum precise measurement results we recommend using the tare function for weighing the baby.
USING THE TARE FUNCTION

NOT USING THE TARE FUNCTION
- Press the «ZERO» button to turn the scales on. The screen will light up white, the display will show the number of the user whose data was saved the previous time (if this is not the first measurement), then the zero value of weight will show. The scales are ready for measuring.
- Carefully place the baby on the scales. The display will show the baby’s weight.
- Press the «HOLD» button to save these readings. Thus you will be able to compare the results with previous readings. The results and difference with the previous measurement (if there were any) will flash in the screen several times, and then the scales will turn off automatically.
- The scales will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. In order to turn off the scales by force, press and hold the «ZERO» button for 3 seconds.
In the application you will have the statistics of all measurements, the graphs of weight and height changes, as well as the comparison of your baby’s weights and height with the WHO recommended parameters.
MEASURING WEIGHT AND HEIGHT

Press the «ZERO» button to turn the scales on. The screen will light up white, the display will show the number of the user whose data was saved the previous time (if this is not the first measurement), then the zero value of weight will show. The scales are ready for measuring.

Pull the silicone cover out and insert the top limiter in its place.

Pull up and open the bottom limiter sideways until it clicks to put the device into the height measuring mode. The initial value of 46.0 cm will show on the screen.
Note: if this does not happen, make sure that the bottom limiter is in the initial position and press the «ZERO» button to set the starting parameters. -
Carefully place the baby on the scales so that the head touches the top limiter, and the feet touch the bottom limiter of the measurement board.

Take the baby off the scales and remove the underpad.

The scales will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. You can also press and hold the «ZERO» button for 3 seconds to turn off the scales by force.
POTENTIAL BREAKDOWNS AND THEIR ELIMINATION
If any trouble occurs while using the device, please check the following list first.

If the device does not work even after carrying out the above procedures,
contact the store where it was purchased, or the nearest dealer. Never turn
the device on if any part of it is broken or does not work properly. The
device shall only be repaired by an authorized client service representative
or dealer.

TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE AND OPERATION
- The scales should be operated at ambient temperature from +10°C to +35°C at the maximum relative humidity of air no more than 65%.
- Do not store the scales in the same room with acids, chemical agents and other active materials, which can be harmful.
- After storing and transporting in freezing temperatures, keep the scales in the normal temperature for at least 6 hours before unpacking.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Clean the scales with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT IMMERGE the device in water and DO NOT USE chemically active or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Always set the scales on a hard even surface before use.
- Do not knock on the device; avoid hitting it and dropping it from height.
- The scales are a high precision device. Please handle them carefully.
- Keep the device in a cool dry place.
- Check the batteries if the device is not turning on.
- The scales are designed for home use and shall not be used for commercial purposes.
