Safety instructions

The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for correct use.

  • Read the user manual completely and carefully before use. The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.

  • Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm to medical devices.

  • Do not short circuit the connections, circuits and the metal grid.
  • Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.
  • In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other problems non-recoverable by the documentation, contact your dealer or producer.
  • Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, microwaves, vibrations and mechanical pressure.
  • Do not kill protected insects, such as bees etc. The product is not a toy! Not suitable for children and those with physical and/or mentally limited abilities.
  • Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.

Risk of electric shock!
The metal grid leads to high voltage when actuated and up to 30 seconds later! Do not touch the metal grille during operation and for 30 seconds after releasing the operation button.

Risk of fire!

The metal mesh can set objects on fire up to 30 seconds after operation.

  • Avoid proximity to flammable surfaces and fabrics, and explosive materials.
  • Never operate the product near gas or electric heating systems, open fires, candles or other sources of heat.
  • Only place the product on level, non-slip and fire-resistant surfaces.
  • Do not cover the product.

Battery hazards
The cells are replaceable.

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
  • Do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc or nickel-cadmium batteries.
  • Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries from the product and dispose them with appropriate protective measures.
  • Do not throw batteries into fire.

Product

This product is a battery-powered electric fly swatter that kills insects in flight by means of high voltage when actuated.

Intended use

We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter „Description and Function“ or in the „Safety Instructions“. Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.

Inserting or changing batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert 2 AA batteries in marked polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment again. Be careful not to touch the actuation button or the metal grille.

Operation

Press the actuation button and try to touch the insect in flight with the metal grille. When striking surfaces and objects with insects on them, be aware that they may be damaged or set on fire by  the high voltage. DO NOT use the product on curtains, tablecloths, fabric furniture and other easily combustible surfaces!

Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transportation

The product is maintenance-free.

NOTICE!

  • Always remove batteries before each work on the product and when not in use for longer time.
  • Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not use detergents or chemicals.
  • Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and dust-protected ambiance when not in use.
  • Store cool and dry.
  • Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

Disposal instructions

Product

According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with consumers’ waste. Its components must be recycled or disposed of apart from each other.
