Safety Instructions
- Read all safety instructions before using the product.
- The FSP-2 is used as a power generator. Electric current presents hazards such as electric shock and fire. Therefore, the products may only be used if the consumer is familiar with the hazards and has the expertise to operate the solar system safely.
- Avoid physical pressure on the solar bag, as well as sharp objects in the near distance
- A suitable solar charge controller is required for operation. You will find a suitable selection in our online sh op and in the user manual.
- When setting up/opening the solar bag, make sure it is placed on a firm surface.
- If the solar bag is placed behind a window, e.g. the windscreen of a vehicle, the FSP-2 module can become very hot. The hotter the solar pocket becomes, the lower the performance and the life expectancy of the solar pocket, so protect the FSP-2 from extreme heat.
- After installation, check all connections for tightness.
- Wear appropriate safety glasses when connecting the charge controller to the battery.
- If a charge controller is included in the delivery (FSP-2 kit), it must remain inside.

Set up/connection
- Connect the connection cables (4 and 5) to the charge controller.
- Connect battery connection cable (5) to the battery.
- Connect the module connection cable (3) of the FSP-2 Ultra to the connection cable (4).
- Unfolding the module fields
- Unfold the feet completely
- For a better hold there are eyelets in the feet, for fixing with ground pegs
- Alternative: hanging via Offgridtec suction cups. (available in our online store)
Place the FSP-2 Ultra in full sun, without shading. Guide the module towards the sun every one to two hours for optimal solar output.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Q: How to clean the solar surface?
A: If the surface of the solar panels is covered with dust and dirt, it can be
cleaned with a soft sponge, then wipe the surface of the solar panels with a
damp cloth to remove the remaining dust and dirt.
Q: Is the FSP-2 series rainproof or suitable for permanent installation?
A: Yes, the FSP-2 series is rainproof and has a water-repellent, impregnated
fabric and can withstand a rain shower without any problems. It is important
that no connectors or charge controllers get wet. However, permanent
installation is not recommended!
Q: Which charge controller do you recommend for maximum yields?
A: To get the maximum yield from the FSP-2 Ultra, we recommend using MPPT
charge controllers. Recommended MPPT charge controller:
- Victron SmartSolar 75/15, 100/20
- Offgridtec MPPT PRO Duo 12/24V 30A
- Votronic MPP 165 Duo (bis 160W), MPP 250 Duo
