ROVIN YS2811 12VDC Large Portable Stove
IMPORTANT
This unit operates with a 12V vehicle system. Always start your vehicle engine before plugging in your portable stove. This unit draws up to 12 Amps during operation so make sure that the circuit you are using is rated for this much current. The average current draw is about 5 Amps. The power cord may have a fuse installed in the plug. If required, replace the fuse with a new one of the same amp rating (A) only.
CAUTION:
- DO NOT USE IT WHILE DRIVING
- Keep far from the reach of children.
- This unit must NEVER be submerged in liquids.
- Do not warm food in plastic containers, sandwich bags, or any sealed containers. Plastic containers may melt and sealed containers may explode when heated.
SAFETY
- The bottom and sides of the unit get extremely hot and steam may leak from the unit. The unit will leak if knocked over.
- The stove gets hot very quickly and stays hot even after being unplugged.
- Do not immerse the cord or warmer in any liquid.
- Keep the cord away from hot surfaces.
- Always unplug the unit when not in use.
- Allow the stove to cool before storing.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not place on, or near surfaces that can be damaged by heat or steam.
COOKING WITH THE PORTABLE OVEN
An internal thermostat maintains a temperature of 300°F/149°C. Puncture the cans and open the jars before heating. Place food in aluminum foil or small oven bags to make cleanup easier. You can safely put food in an aluminum pan, however, cleanup is more difficult. A water bath helps to spread the heat more quickly when cooking food in its original containers. Water must never be added when the unit is hot.
APPROXIMATE HEATING TIMES
Baby food, jars or bottles | 3-5 min (using water bath) |
---|---|
Hot dogs | 5 min |
Grilled cheese sandwich | 7-10 min |
Canned soups and foods | 20 min |
Rice | 30 min |
NOTE:
Heating foods improves with increased contact with the bottom pan; a water
bath helps here. Small oven bags or aluminum foil will ease the clean-up.
CLEAN UP
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT BEFORE CLEANING.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT IN ANY LIQUID.
Use a cloth, brush, or sponge with water and mild dish soap. Do not use metal
scouring pads.
TROUBLESHOOTING
This stove is equipped with a 15A fuse. Check the fuse panel before connecting. If the stove does not operate:
- Make sure that all contacts in the socket are clean
- Ensure that the plug is securely plugged into the power source.
- Check the fuse on the power cable. If blown, replace it with a new 15A fuse.
- Check the fuse panel in the vehicle to make sure that the fuse controlling the socket is intact. It might be necessary to replace it with a new 15A fuse.
