Safety regulations
- Run a visual inspection of the device before every use. Do not use the device if safety appliances are damaged or worn out. Never override safety regulations.
- Use the device exclusively according to the intended purpose stated in the instructions for use.
- You are responsible for the safety of the working environment.
- If the cable or the plug is damaged due to external influences the cable must not be repaired! It must be replaced with a new one. This work can be carried out only by an electrician.
- The voltage indicated on the type plate of the device of 230 V AC must correspond to the existent mains voltage.
- Never lift, carry, or fix the device by using the power cable.
- Make sure that the electrical plug connection is placed in a flood-proof area and is protected from moisture.
- Disconnect the mains plug before the maintenance work.
- Avoid exposing the diesel pump to direct water jets or rain.
- The operator is responsible for compliance with location-specific safety and installation regulations. If necessary, ask a qualified electrician.
- Consequential damage arising from flooded rooms caused by dysfunctions of the device must be avoided by means of appropriate measures (e.g., by installing an alarm system, a reserve pump).
- In case of malfunction, the repair work can be carried out only by a qualified electrician.
- The device must not run dry or with a completely closed intake port. The manufacturer’s guarantee is no longer valid if the damage is caused by dry running.
Attention:
Read carefully all the safety guidelines and the instructions. Non-
compliance with the safety rules and regulations can lead to an electric
shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Keep the instructions and the safety
guidelines in a safe place in case you need them in the future.
Resistance
- The temperature of the conveyed liquid should not exceed +35 ℃ in permanent operation.
- The pump must not convey aggressive fluids (acids, alkali, etc.) or fluids with abrasive substances (sand). It must NOT pump water or easy flammable liquids (petrol).
Field of application
For conveying and transferring fuel oil (heating oil) or diesel fuel.

Electrical connection
- The electrical connection takes place by means of a safety socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Fuse protection at least 10 A.
- The pump is turned on and off by means of a built-in ON-/OFF switch. The indicator lamp inside the switch lights up if the engine is started.
- The engine is protected against overloading or blocking by means of built-in motor protection.
In case of overheating the pump is turned off automatically due to the overheat protection and after its cooling, the pump is automatically started.
Suction pipeline
- Connect a suction hose (plastic hose minimum ¾″ with spiral reinforcement) directly or with a threaded fitting to the suction connection (intake connection) of the pump (1″ internal thread) of the pump.
- The suction hose that is used should have a suction valve. In case the suction valve cannot be used, a check valve should be installed in the suction line.
- Position the suction line on a rising gradient from the removal point towards the pump. Avoid laying the suction line over the pump height, air bubbles in the suction line delay and prevent the suction process.
- The suction and pressure line must be placed in such a way so that they exert no mechanical pressure on the pump.
- The suction valve should lie deeply enough in the medium to be pumped. This way the drop in the fluid level prevents the pump from dry running.
- A leaking suction line prevents the suction of the pumped medium by sucking in air.
- Avoid sucking foreign particles (e.g., sand).
Commissioning
- Set up the pump on a fixed, flat place, where the temperature does not exceed 40 ℃. The pump must be placed in a horizontal position, so that the bearings can function properly; screw the pump tight to its bottom part.
- Bring the suction line ready for operation. The suction hose should not be narrower than the suction connection. If the suction lift exceeds 4 m, use a suction line with a larger diameter.
- Plug the plug in an appropriate socket.
- Fill up the pump with the diesel or heating oil at the pressure port.
- During the suction process, the shut-off devices (pump nozzle and valve) in the pressure line must be completely open, so that the air existing in the suction line can escape freely.
- Depending on the suction lift and air volume in the suction line the first suction operation can take approx. 0.5 min–5 min. By longer suction times, the medium to be pumped should be refilled.
- If the pump is removed after being used, it must be newly refilled before it is connected and operated again.
Ventilation of pump
The filler hole (part 1, see photograph below) of the diesel pump must be
removed from the pump housing. After that, by using a funnel, fill the medium
to be pumped into this filler hole. Thus, the suction hose is fully filled.
Filling the pump is completed when the pump body is fully filled as well.
After this, the filler hole must be closed and the pump should now convey
(pump) again.
Cleaning
The heating oil pump must be cleaned only by using mild cleaning agents as well as a damp cloth and soapy water. Damage caused by inappropriate cleaning agents is not covered by a warranty.
Maintenance
Attention! Before every maintenance work, the pump must be switched off, pull out the plug from the power socket.
- The pump is maintenance-free. However, for a long operation life, we recommend regular checking and servicing.
- After long non-operation periods, check if the rotor turns properly.
