How the System Works
The
smart doorbell system includes 2 parts: one is the video doorbell camera at
your door; the other is the WUUK Base Station in your house.
The video doorbell detects motion at your doorstep and allows you to answer
the door anytime and anywhere. You can also access the camera by checking Live
View from your phone.
The Base Station stores video clips on its built-in storage and provides
network connection and internet access for the smart doorbell.
When someone rings the doorbell, people in the house will be notified on both
the Base Station and the phone with the WUUK app installed.
CONNECTING WUUK BASE STATION TO THE INTERNET
Connect the WUUK Base Station with your WiFi router using the ethernet cable.
Plug in the power cable to the WUUK Base Station and connect the Base Station
to power outlets (Input 100-240V). At this point, the indicator light on the
WUUK Base Station turns blue which indicates the system is initializing (this
may take up to 1 minute).
Once the initialization is completed, the indicator light on the WUUK Base
Station turns green and gets ready for setup.
If the indicator light on the WUUK Base Station is red it means no Internet
access for the Base Station. Kindly check If the ethernet cable is correctly
plugged in and if your WiFi router has Internet access.
SETTING UP THE SYSTEM
Get the WUUK App and Add Device(s)
Download the WUUK app from the AppStore (i0S devices) or GooglePlay (Android
devices).
Register an account if there is no existing account.
Go to the app homepage. Tap Add Device > add the WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro to
your WUUK app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Please ensure that during the pairing process, your phone is joining the WiFi network you intend to pair with your WUUK Smart Doorbell system.
WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro
WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro is partially charged when out of the factory.
If you cannot turn on the doorbell right out of the box, you may consider
first charging the doorbell before setting the system up. Please refer to
“CHARGING THE WUUK SMART DOORBELL PRO.”
Power on: Long press the power button for 3 seconds, until you hear the
device announces “Hello, WUUK”.
Power off: Short press the power button 5 times, until the devices make 3
short beeping sounds.
Entering pairing mode: When the device is on, long-press the power button
for 3 seconds until the device makes a short beeping sound and the indicator
light is flashing red
After the doorbell(s) are added to the WUUK Base Station, you can move to the
next step *FIND A GOOD MOUNTING SPOT”.
FIND A GOOD MOUNTING SPOT
To ensure a good user experience, we recommend checking 2 things before you
start mounting the doorbell: 1. WUUK Smart Doorbell and the Base Station have
good signal reception; 2. Smart Doorbell captures images at your desired angle
and shows a desired field of view. Use the ‘Network Diagnosis” feature in the
WUUK app to test the WiFi signal strength of the WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro at
the location you plan to place or mount the camera.
Understand the Network Diagnosis Result
If the signal between the devices is not strong enough, please try to
change the location of the doorbell camera until you find a spot that has a
good signal testing result in the app.
Height and Location
The WUUK Smart Doorbell series of products is designed and built for outdoor
use, and mostly for monitoring your home entrance(s). We recommend hanging the
WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro 3.9h-4.6h (120MM-140MM) above the ground. This height
maximizes the detection range of the motion sensors on the doorbell.
Avoid placing the doorbell under direct sunlight. The original package of the
WUUK Smart Doorbell Pro (Battery-powered) contains a 15° Angle Mount. Apply
the angle mount if needed. Check in the WUUK app using the Live View feature
to confirm if the view is desired.
