Quick start
- Connect the speakers using the supplied speaker cable.

- To pair your Bluetooth device, turn on the speakers and press and hold “PAIRING” on your remote for about 3 seconds until the LED starts blinking. Your speakers are now in pairing mode. Activate Bluetooth on your playback device and scan for devices. Your speaker will show up as “ARGON FORTE”. Press “pair” and you are connected. The LED light on the speaker will change to solid blue. You’re now ready to start listening to music! Besides Bluetooth, your Forte speakers have four more inputs: Optical1, Optical2, AUX, and Phono. Use the included remote control to select your wished input.
- When connecting a turntable to the Phono input on the Forte speaker, remember to also connect the ground wire from the turntable, to the metal GND screw.
- If you have an active subwoofer, connect it to the Forte speaker’s SUB OUTPUT, using an RCA cable, and then connect the cable to Your Subwoofer.
- Your FORTE speakers support most Samsung, Sony, and LG remote functions for “Volume +/-“ and “Mute” using IR remotes only.
- We recommend a running-in time of your FORTE speakers of approximately 15-20 hours at a normal listening level before you decide on the final positioning of the speakers. During the running-in time, the drive units will settle in and perform as intended.
- For optimal sound performance, the best listening position is at ear level with the speakers placed not too far from a wall.
- For FORTE A55, notice that the speaker foot can be demounted if you wish so, and be replaced by ex. spikes
Special functions and features
-
Remote control function with Samsung, Sony, and Denon remotes
◊ Argon FORTE is born with IR commands from the most common Sony and Samsung TV. That is, you can use your Sony or Samsung IR remote control for completely basic commands such as volume up, volume down and mute on the FORTE.
◊ If you have a remote control that does not send IR commands (for example a Smart remote), some newer TVs also support IR learning, so you can force the television to broadcast IR commands to your product, thus using your TV remote control to control your FORTE. For this, we recommend finding the DENON AVRX1400 in the ist under devices on your TV to use this feature. Check the manual for your TV if in doubt. -
Auto sense (APU Auto Power Up)
◊ When in standby mode, FORTE will by default start up automatically once you start playing music from your source (notice, there is No Auto sense on
Phono/Turntable input)
◊ Bluetooth will Auto connect to already paired devices.
◊ You can turn the Auto sense OFF if you wish. Press and hold the Power button on the remote for 5 sec. and the FORTE‘s APU is disabled. When FORTE is powered on again it works normally again with APU function.
◊ If you do not want auto sense on the inputs at any time, you should always power the amplifier off manually with the remote (and hold the power button for 5 seconds when doing so) -
Auto standby (APD Auto Power Down)
◊ The FORTE will automatically go into standby after 15 minutes if no music is playing.
◊ Timeout for Bluetooth connection loss with Bluetooth device is also 15 minutes -
Un-Pair Bluetooth devices
◊ Press and hold PARRING for 5 sec – light will flash and unpair/reset is done.
