SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.
Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision.
Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.
This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:
- Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
- Farms
- Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
- Guest rooms or similar
Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.
READ THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.
- Do not touch the hot surfaces. use the handles provided.
- Never put the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Make sure that children do not use the waffle iron without supervision.
- Do not place the machine near flammable objects.
- Make sure that the air can circulate around the appliance.
- Have the appliance repaired by a professional if it has fallen or is damaged.
- Do not use sharp objects to remove residual batter.
- Never use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged.
- Always ask for original replacement parts, such as the anti-slip feet.
- If the machine is no longer working, contact an authorized service centre. if there is a technical problem, or if the machine no longer properly functions, turn it off and do not try to repair it, repairs may only be performed by a service centre.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- This appliance has been designed to make genuine Brussels waffles.
- The waffle iron is equipped with baking elements with a non-stick coating.
- This machine is only suitable for household use indoors.
- Never use the appliance when it is damaged.
- Use an insulating mat on surfaces which are not resistant to heat.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or come into contact with hot surfaces.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Note:
- When you use the appliance for the first time, there may be a bit of smoke or a specific odour which comes from the machine. This is normal.
- Always use oven mitts to take the waffles out of the machine.
- Do not let the baking elements come into contact with metal objects or cutlery so
as not to damage the non-stick surfaces.

Prepare the waffle batter.

Set the machine on a stable and even surface.

Make sure that there is sufficient space around the machine, so that the heat can escape and there is sufficient ventilation.

If necessary, clean the baking elements with a moist cloth. always keep the machine clean. see the chapter on «Cleaning and maintenance».

Put a few drops of vegetable oil on the baking elements.

Close the lid using the handle.

Put the plug into the outlet. The red on/off light will light up and the machine will start to warm up.

Select the desired temperature by turning the temperature regulator.

When the machine has reached the desired temperature, the green light will light up. The waffle iron is now ready to use.

Open the lid using the handle.

Pour the waffle batter into the lower baking element. If necessary, use a wooden or plastic spatula to evenly distribute the batter over the baking elements.

Close the lid using the handle.

Turn the machine 180° within 10 seconds. let the machine rest on the anti-slip feet provided.

During baking, the green lamp will turn on and off because the thermostat will turn itself on and off to maintain the desired temperature.

Bake the Brussels waffles until they are ready for consumption (about 3 to 4 minutes). The waffles should be crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. But this depends on the batter and personal taste.

Turn the machine back over when the waffles are done.

Open the lid using the handle.

For hygienic reasons, it is better to throw away the first waffles, and not to eat them.

Stay near the machine to regularly check whether the waffles are done and make sure that the waffles do not burn.

Carefully loosen the waffles with a wooden or plastic spatula. Never use metal objects because the non-stick coating on the baking elements may be damaged.

Close the lid to keep the heat in for further use.

When you are finished making waffles, pull the plug from the outlet.

Let the machine cool down completely before putting it away.
NOTES ON MAKING THE BEST BRUSSELS WAFFLES
- Wait until the green light goes on before filling the waffle maker with batter.
- Pour approximately 300ml of batter into the waffle maker to bake 2 waffles.
- Bake the waffles for about 4 minutes at the maximum temperature to make them soft on the inside and crisp on the outside.
- Always leave the storage clip open while baking. This gives the waffles space to rise.
RECIPE
For +/- 12 Brussels waffles:
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
- 50cl milk
- 50cl water
- 200g butter
- 25g fresh yeast
- 600g self-raising flour
- 1 small bag of vanilla sugar
- salt
- Whisk the 4 egg yolks.
- Pour in the milk.
- Add the yeast to the mixture and whisk it in until the yeast has dissolved.
- Add the water to the mixture.
- Add a pinch of salt to the 600g of flour (sifted) and add the flour to the batter. whisk the batter until it is smooth.
- Melt the butter (200g) and stir the melted butter into the batter.
- Whip the egg whites with the vanilla sugar until they are stiff.
- Carefully fold in the egg whites into the batter, cover the batter and let it rest for 20 minutes so it can rise.
- Let the waffle maker preheat at the maximum temperature and wait until the green light goes on.
- Pour approximately 300ml of the batter into the waffle maker. Try to spread the batter evenly across the baking area.
- Close the waffle maker and turn it over within 10 seconds.
- Be sure not to close the storage clip on the handle while baking, so that the waffles have enough space to rise.
- Bake the waffles for about 4 minutes at the maximum temperature.
- Remove the waffles from the waffle maker, sprinkle them with icing sugar and finish with whipped cream to obtain a genuine Brussels waffle.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
This machine requires little maintenance. if the machine is broken, have it repaired by the distributor.
Note:
- Never put the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning and make sure the machine has completely cooled down.
- Do not use abrasive cleansers or scrubbing sponges in order to avoid damaging the machine.
Cleaning the inside
- Clean the baking elements with absorbent kitchen paper or a soft cloth.
- Even though the baking elements have a non-stick coating, there may be batter residue in the machine which is not easy to remove. To remove this, coat the baking elements with vegetable oil and let it absorb for 5 to 10 minutes. Then clean the baking elements with absorbent kitchen paper.
- If this does not work, clean the elements with a moist cloth and a little mild detergent.
Check the machine regularly for damage.
Cleaning the outside
Wipe the outside of the machine clean and dry with a soft dry cloth.
STORAGE
- Keep the machine in the original packaging or put the machine upright for storage.
- Keep the machine in a dry and frost-free location, out of the reach of children.
