BURLEY 960201 Solstice Car Seat Adapter

Failure to comply with the instructions and safety guidelines in this manual
could result in serious injury or death.
WARNING
- The Burley Solstice Car Seat Adapter is designed for use in the Burley Solstice only.
- The maximum capacity for the car seat adapter is 40lbs. Do not exceed this weight limit. Always set the parking brake on the stroller before installing the car seat adapter and securing your infant in the car seat.
- The car seat adapter comes with a safety belt that must be used and tightened securely while the infant car seat is installed.
- Always use the car seat safety harness to secure your child into the infant car seat. Never leave your child in the infant car seat if they are not secured with the safety harness.
- Do not use the infant car seat in or on the stroller without the car seat adapter. The stroller is not designed to carry an infant car seat without the proper use and installation of the car seat adapter.
- Never leave the infant car seat on the stroller or in the car seat adapter if it is not properly and securely installed on to the car seat adapter.
- Never put a child into the stroller seat if the car seat adapter is installed on the stroller. The stroller seat is not designed to hold a child while the car seat adapter is installed.
- Never leave your child unattended when the child is in the stroller seat or in an infant car seat even if they are properly secured using the safety harness.
The Solstice Car Seat Adapter is designed to fit the following models of
infant car seats.

Installing the Car Seat Adapter
Set the stroller parking brake. Slide the metal tabs on the car seat adapter into the accessory slots on the stroller (Figure 1). The curved adapter end tube should be facing the stroller seat. Push firmly on the plastic connector and then pull up on the plastic connector parts without pressing the release buttons to ensure the adapter is locked into place.
Installing the Car Seat
Face the infant car seat to the rear of the stroller and lift the car seat directly above the car seat adapter (Figure 2). Place the car seat into the car seat adapter and ensure it settles into the most secure position. The car seat should not rock or move. Leave the car seat handle in the up position as this will provide added protection for your child. Buckle the attached restraining strap across the top of the infant car seat and tighten the strap by moving the plastic slide piece on either side of the buckle to secure the car seat to the adapter. If you lift the car seat handle, the car seat should not move from the adapter.
WARNING
Make sure the restraining strap is not pulled tight across the child as this could cause serious injury or death. This strap should only be touching the car seat. Never leave the car seat installed in the adapter without the restraining strap buckled and pulled tight.
Removal of the car seat and car seat adapter
- Unbuckle the restraining strap.
- Immediately lift the infant car seat off of the car seat adapter using the car seat handle.
- Press both accessory release buttons and lift the car seat adapter from the slots in the stroller.
WARNING
The car seat adapter must be removed from the stroller before folding the stroller. Failure to remove the car seat adapter may result in damage to the stroller and/or the car seat adapter.
Warranty
This product is warranted from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year. If a defect in materials or workmanship is discovered during the Limited Warranty period, we will, at our sole option, repair or replace your product at no cost to you. This warranty is only valid in the country in which the product was purchased. The Limited Warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser of this product and is not transferable to anyone who obtains ownership of the product from the original purchaser. The Limited Warranty does not cover claims resulting from misuse, failure to follow the instructions, installation, improper maintenance and use, abuse alteration, involvement in an accident, and normal wear and tear. The Limited Warranty does not cover products which are used in rental operations and Burley will not be liable for any incidental or commercial damages relating to such use. TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. The duration of any implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose that may exist during the express warranty period, are expressly limited to the limited warranty period. Some states and countries do not allow limitations on how long an implied limited warranty lasts; therefore, the above limitation and exclusions may not apply to you. THE CUSTOMER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR OF ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW OTHERWISE SHALL BE LIMITED AS SPECIFIED HEREIN TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AT OUR SOLE OPTION. IN ANY EVENT, RESPONSIBILITY FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IS EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state or country.
