Product description and intended use
Functional characteristics of the product:
- MOVE motor pro is a motor for existing indoor blinds and shades.
- MOVE motor pro is built to fit as many different manually controlled indoor blinds and shades as possible.
The MOVE motor pro can be retrofitted to nearly all different manually
controlled indoor blinds and shades. No matter
if its continuous cord loops or bead chain.
MOVE devices are installed with screws that are hidden behind the front cover.
MOVE devices uses a mesh protocol running over Bluetooth. This means multiple
MOVE devices can communicate with each other and forwarding radio
transmissions making the radio coverage bigger and more stable. This also
makes it possible to link devices together making them act as one or have one
device command other devices.
MOVE devices has a custom metal gearbox with a super silent brushless motor.
To ensure its function even under heavy load the gears are made of metal and
the output axel has dual bearings. The electronics controlling the motor has
force limiting safety feature, stall protection and overheating protection
making it safe to use.

Outside device overview
- 2.4” display with touch
- Micro USB type B charge port
The touch display is used to access the different settings and adjust the
position of the window cover where the MOVE device is installed.
The MOVE devices can either be controlled directly at the device through the
touch display, through a remote control or through an app running on a
smartphone or tablet. The remote control can be used with or without the app
to control MOVE devices.
MOVE devices count the number of rotations the motor makes to know where open
and closed limits for the window covers are set and where the window cover are
in between the open and closed limit. The limits need to be manually set at
first use of MOVE device. It is described in this user manual how to set
limits.
Slippage or skipping by cord loop or bead chain can make the limits drift or
get wrong. If these happens the limits need to be adjusted for MOVE devices to
know where the correct open and closed position are. Adjusting the limits are
done the same way as setting then the first time.
The open and closed limit are stored in the MOVE device. No matter what
interface that is used to control the MOVE device it will always just run in
between the open and closed position, never outside of this range. But limits
can for different reasons become wrong and if that happens the motor will go
pass the position it was set to stop at. This can be caused by many different
external factors. When the motor go pass a position it was supposed to stop at
the root case should be determined and fixed, then both open and closed limits
should be set again.
Each MOVE device can have a favorite position that can be anywhere in between
fully open and fully closed. It is described in this user manual how to set a
favorite position.
It is possible to set automations to trigger a MOVE device to go to any
position in between fully open and fully closed. Automations are stored and
handled in each device separately.
It is possible to group MOVE devices and send commands that should be
performed by all devices in a group. A single MOVE device can belong to 8
different groups.
Remove the front cover
To remove the front cover when the MOVE device is new use the red stickers
attached to the device. Use both hands. One hand should hold the sticker that
is marked “hold”. The other hand should pull the sticker that is marked
“pull”. These stickers should be removed after installation.
If the red stickers are not present and the front cover should be removed a
pulley need to be attached. One hand should hold the pulley and the other
should pull the front cover for it to pop off. Follow the steps bellow.

Inside device overview
- Front cover
- 2.4” display with touch
- Micro USB type B charge port
- LiPo battery 7.4V 2600mAh
- Wall screw slot
- Wall screw slot
The front cover needs to be removed when installing the MOVE device.
The slot screw holes (5 and 6) are supposed to be used when installing the
MOVE device. Screws and anchors are included in the package but depending upon
the wall where the device is intended to be installed, different type of
screws and anchors may need to be used.
The reason for the slot holes is that it is important that the MOVE device is
installed with correct tension of the cord or bead chain. It should not be too
much nor too little tension. The slot holes make it possible to adjust the
tension level even after the screws are attached to the wall.
When the mounting to the wall is complete the front cover only needs to be
snapped back on.
It is much easier to snap off the front cover when a MOVE device is mounted to
the wall than it is to snap off a cover from a MOVE device that is not
attached to a wall.
Prepare for bead chain size #10, 4.5mm
There are two types of pulleys for size #10 bead chain. The small pulley (part
3 in the picture “All included parts” at page 5) is intended for big and heavy
window covers and the standard pulley (part 4 in the picture “All included
parts” at page 5) is intended for regular size window covers.
The size of the pulley will affect the speed of the open and closing of the
window cover. There is a speed setting in the MOVE device that can be used to
slow down devices that have the pulley with bigger diameter if it is desired
to have multiple devices run at the same speed even though different size
pulleys are used.
Install the standard pulley for size #10, 4.5mm bead chain
Attach the standard pulley (part 4 in the picture “All included parts” at page
5).
Install the small pulley for size #10, 4.5mm bead chain
Attach the small pulley (part 3 in the picture “All included parts” at page
5).
Prepare support wall for cord loop and small size bead chains
When installing a MOVE device to a window cover with cord loop it is important
to first install the support wall to the MOVE device.
The support wall will make sure the pulley grips the cord and smaller bead
chains do not fall out of the pockets of the pulley.
The main purpose of the support wall is to prevent slippage of the cord loops
or skipping of beads for the smaller types of bead chain.
Remove the Philips screws at each side of the motor axel.
Place the support wall so the holes line up.
Reattach the Philips screws to fasten the support wall.
Prepare for cord loop D30, K35, C30, 2.7-3.5mm
Use the support wall and the standard size pulley (marked 4 in the “All parts
included” picture at page 5).
Install at cord loop D30, K35, C30, 2.7-3.5mm
After the support wall is installed the cord loop should be placed in the
standard pulley. The standard pulley is then pressed onto the motor axel and
the supplied screw is used to secure the pulley. Then attach the small top
part to make sure the cord is always centered and aligned towards the pulley.
Use the supplied screw to secure the small top part.
Prepare for vertical blinds track cord, bead chain size #6 and size #8
Use the support wall and the pulley that have small pockets (marked 5 in the
“All parts included” picture at page 5).
All installations options below require the support wall. After the support wall is installed the cord loop or bead chain should be placed in the small pocket pulley. The small pocket pulley is then pressed onto the motor axel and the supplied screw is used to secure the pulley. Then the small top part is installed to make sure the cord is always centered and aligned towards the pulley. Use the supplied screw to secure the small top part.

Mount device to wall
Warning! – Before starting, carefully read the warnings in the first part of
this user manual. It is important that you install MOVE device as described in
this manual to ensure safe use of the motor.
Note! The motor inside a MOVE device has a torque of about 1Nm and incorrect
installation and/or usage can be dangerous.
Check the condition of the MOVE device upon unboxing it, do not install if
damaged. Check if the MOVE device is compatible with the product you intend to
install it on before installing, do not install if it is not compatible.
Make sure the product you intend to install the MOVE device on is working
correct and do not have any defects, do not install if it is not working
correct or if it has any defects.
Make sure that the cord or bead chain of the product you intend to install the
MOVE device on is compatible with any of the pulleys included in the package,
do not install if it is not compatible.
Before installing a MOVE device make sure that there is enough free space in
the window for the MOVE device to operate freely, do not install if there is a
possibility that things can get caught and tangled in by the motor motion or
the window cover movement.
Prepare the MOVE device depending upon what window cover it should be
installed at. Follow the guides in this user manual for selecting the correct
pulley and if needed support wall.
Remove the front cover of the device in the way described in page 7 (Remove
the front cover) in this user manual.
Use screws and anchors that are appropriate to the type of wall where MOVE is
installed at. The supplied screw and anchor do not work at all types of walls
and need to be replaced at some types of walls. Consult a professional for
what type of screws and anchors to use if uncertain.
Important! Make sure the cord or bead chain is sufficiently stretched when
doing the installation. It should not be too stretched and not too little
stretched, the amount of starch needed is different between different type of
window covers and the slot holes at the MOVE device are intended to enable
fine tuning of the stretch. If the stretch is wrong the MOVE device may not
keep the open and closed limits due to slippage of cords or skipping of beads
at bead chains.
At each side on the of MOVE device there are slot holes (marked 5 and 6 in the “Inside device overview” picture at page 8) that should be used when installing MOVE devices. The slot holes are behind the front cover. Use either the included screw and anchor (marked 8 in the “All included parts” picture at page 5) or replace them with screws and anchors that are appropriate for the wall where installation should be made.
When the MOVE device is fastened to the wall, just snap on the front cover and
mounting is complete.
The front cover is available in a transparent version that can be painted or left as is to give the MOVE device a different look, contact your seller for more details.
