Important Safety Instructions

  1. Carefully read all instructions before using this heater and retain these instructions for future reference.

  2. Remove this heater from its packaging and check to make sure that the heater, cord, and plug are in good condition before use.

  3. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater once unplugged.

  4. If legs/feet are included with your heater, always assemble these parts before using.

  5. Ensure that the heater is placed on a stable, level surface with 3ft of clearance from its surroundings.

  6. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least 3ft from the front and back of the heater.

  7. Extreme caution is necessary when a heater is used where children, individuals with special needs, or pets are near.

  8. Always turn all switches to the off position and unplug the heater when not in use. Always hold the plug firmly and then remove it from the wall outlet.

  9. This heater is intended for supplemental heat and/or decorative purposes. Continues use for several hours can impact the performance and life of the heater. This heater is not intended to
    be used in commercial, industrial, or agricultural settings.

  10. Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater has malfunctioned, dropped, or damaged in any manner.

  11. This heater does not contain any serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair this appliance.

  12. Do not use outdoors. Exposure to the elements such as rain, snow, sun, wind, or extreme temperatures may cause the heater to become a safety hazard.

  13. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor spaces. Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other containers of water.

  14. Never use GFCI (GFI) wall outlets to power this heater.

  15. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar floor coverings.

  16. Do not run cord under furniture or other appliances.

  17. Keeping the cord from crossing high traffic areas to prevent tripping hazards.

  18. Plug the heater into properly grounded, 3 prong wall outlets only.

  19. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or other openings which could cause electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.

  20. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes and exhaust in any way. Do not use on soft surfaces such as a bed, where the opening may be blocked.

  21. Heaters have hot, arcing, or sparking parts inside. Do not use where gasoline, paint, or other flammable liquids are used or stored.

  22. Use this heater only as described within this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer or distributor may cause, electric shock, fire, or bodily injury.

  23. Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension cord, relocatable power tap, power strip/surge protector, plug adapter, multi-tap outlet adapters, cord reel, or with a plug-in air fresher device with the built-in receptacle.

  24. Do not modify the plug or heater in any way which may cause electric shock, fire, or bodily injury.

  25. This heater must not be located directly underneath a wall outlet when in use.

  26. Check the household voltage to ensure that it matches the heater’s rated specifications.

  27. Do not use while unattended. Turn the heater off before leaving your home or going to sleep.

  28. Only use this heater for domestic purposes in the manner indicated within these instructions.

  29. Check the cord and plug for damage from time to time. Never use this heater if the cord, plug, or heater shows any sign of damage.

  30. Make sure the cord does not touch any hot surfaces.

  31. Faulty wall outlets could cause the heater or outlet to overheat. Never plug the heater into a wall outlet that is old, shows signs of damage, or has loose wiring or connections.

  32. Do not cover the heater to avoid overheating and/or fire.

  33. Do not use the heater near a bath, shower, or swimming pool.

  34. Do not use if you have wet hands.

  35. Before cleaning the heater, make sure it is turned off and unplugged and that it has adequate time to cool.

  36. Do not submerge the heater in water to clean. Do not allow water to enter the housing of the heater during use or while in storage.

  37. Always store the heater in a dry area, free of moisture when not in use.

  38. Do not clean the heater with chemicals or abrasives solvents or with scouring pads or brushes.

  39. Never clean the heater while plugged in.

  40. Never use accessories that are not recommended or supplied by the distributor or manufacturer.

  41. Never use the heater to dry clothes or other fabrics.

  42. Never use external devices such as timers, programmer, external on and off switches, switch that turns it on and off automatically, or connected to an outlet that is turned on and off by a utility switch.

  43. This heater is not a toy. Children should be supervised while this appliance is in use.

  44. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be made by unsupervised children.

CHILD LOCK SAFETY FEATURE
Press and hold the child lock button located on the control panel for 5 seconds. Locking is confirmed when a buzzer rings and the control panel displays “CL”. When locked, the control panel will not function.
TIP-OVER SAFETY FEATURE
This heater is equipped with a tip-over safety feature. Once the heater is tipped over, an internal switch will automatically shut the heater off. Once the heater is restored to an upright position, the heater will reset. To continue operation, turn on the heater using the control panel.
OVERHEAT SAFETY FEATURE
This heater is equipped with an overheat safety feature. When the internal components of the heater reach a certain temperature that could cause overheating or possible fire, the heater will automatically shut off. If the unit has been overheated, you will need to unplug the unit from the wall and replug it in to use the heater again

PREPARATION Instructions

PREPARATION
Place the heater on a firm, level surface and plug it into a ground 120 V, 60 Hz power outlet, and turn on the power switch on the rear of the unit. only operate the heater in the upright position. Please note that infrared heaters do not heat like traditional space heaters. You should not expect infrared heaters to blow hot air like a traditional space heater, Infrared heaters heat objects not air. Infrared heaters are intended to supplement an already heated, insulated room. Square footage specifications assume a single enclosed room, not an entire home. Infrared heaters do not heat through walls, or floors, and are not intended to replace the main heat source. Infrared heat can take at least 24 hours to warm a room but operate much more efficiently to maintain the desired temperature. Infrared heaters will not work well in uninsulated unheated spaces like screened-in porches, RVs, garages, unheated basements, etc.

OPERATING Instructions

  1. Turn the heater ON or OFF by pressing the Power button on the control panel. Once the power is OFF, heating elements will stop working first. The fan will continue working for up to 90 seconds to dispense residual heat inside the heater. This is a normal function.
  2. Select a heat setting by pressing the MODE button on the control panel to toggle between the three heat settings and fan-only mode. Power for High is 1,500W; Low is 1,000W. ECO mode is an economic energy-saving function. When ECO mode is chosen, the heater will operate to maintain a constant warm 68°F. Note: The ECO LED light will only illuminate when the ECO function is active and the ambient room temperature falls below 68°F/20°C.
  3. Set the tempo by pressing the arrows on the control panel. You can set the temp on the heater anywhere between 50˚F and 90˚F. Once you have chose the desired temp, the heater will remain on until the room temp increases to the temp on the digital display. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the desired room temp. NOTE: Press and hold the oscillation button on the control panel for 5 seconds to switch the digital display indicator on the heater between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
  4. To set the timer to power off the heater, start the unit and press the timer button on the control panel. NOTE: The timer-power-off function can only be set when the heater is in power-on-mode. The digital display on the control panel changes from the set temp readout to a time value for the timer. Press timer button repeatedly to change the number value between a range of 0 to 12 hours.

•    The power cord is not plugged in

•    The electricity at the main fuse box is not working.

•    The thermostat on the heater is set lower than the room temp.

•    Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

•    Check the electricity at the main fuse box.

•    Increase the thermostat temperature on the heater for a higher heat setting.

•    Switch the power switch to the ON position.

THE HEATER DISPLAYS AN ERROR CODE “E1”

|

•          The heater has overheated.

•          Insufficient power to the unit.

•          The air intake vent is clogged.

•          Insufficient air flow to the heater.

|

•          Unplug the heater from the wall, wait a few seconds then plug the power cord back in.

•          Make sure the unit is plugged into a dedicated 3-prong outlet, with no extension cords or surge protectors.

•          Clean the air intake vent located on the back of the unit.

•          Move the unit at least 3ft from the wall.

THE HEATER DISPLAYS AN ERROR CODE “E2”

•          Temperature sensor not functioning properly.

•          Please contact technical support.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

WARNING Before performing any maintenance task, turn off the power switch in the rear of the unit, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely.

  1. To keep the heater clean, clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth.
  2. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater. This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.
  3. DO NOT immerse the heater in water.
  4. Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
  5. Store the heater in a cool, dry location when not in use. To prevent dust and dirt build-up, use the original packaging to repack the unit.
  6. Avoid the use of an extension cord, because the extension cord may overheat, it causes a risk of fire.
  7. Use on floor only. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  8. The heater is not to be used in wet or moist locations.

CLEARING THE AIR INTAKE VENT

  1. Clean the air intake or inside the unit after three months or if it appears to be blocking airflow. With the heater unplugged, use a vacuum hose attachment (B) or compressed air (A) to blow out or clean out any dirt, hair, or debris that may have built up around and inside the unit as this will obstruct airflow.
