This user manual is an integral part of this product. It contains important information on commissioning and handling.
This user manual is intended to assist you in using the product. Read through the instructions for use carefully. Store this guide safely throughout the product’s entire service life and pass it on to any subsequent users or owners. Check that the supplied package is complete and ensure that none of the parts are defective or damaged.

INTENDED USE

The product is designed exclusively for atmospheric ambient lighting indoors or outdoors.
The product is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use.
Only use the product as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper and may result in property damage.

General safety and warning instructions

WARNING!

Risk of electric shock!
Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shock.

• If you use a USB charger, only connect it if the mains voltage of the socket matches the specification on the type plate.
• To charge the installed Li-ion battery, use only power supplies that comply with the SELV standard according to IEC 61558-2-6 or IEC 61347-2-13 or ES1 / IEC 62368-1 according to IEC 62368-3.
• Do not operate the product if it has visible damage or the USB charging cable is defective.
• Do not open the housing but entrust the repair to specialists. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. Liability and warranty claims are excluded in the event of repairs carried out independently, improper connec-tion or incorrect operation.
• Only parts that correspond to the original device data may be used for repairs. This product contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for protection against sources of danger.
• Never immerse the product in water.
• Never touch the USB plug with wet hands
• Never pull the USB plug out of the charging socket by the USB charging cable, but always hold the USB plug.
• Never use the USB charging cable as a carrying handle.
• Keep the product and the USB charging cable away from open flames and hot surfaces.
• Route the USB charging cable so that it does not become a tripping hazard.
• Do not bend the USB charging cable or place it over sharp edges.
• Never operate the product in wet areas or in the rain.
• Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions e.g., sub-zero temperatures, hail, extreme heat.
• Charge the product indoors.
• Never place the product in such a way that it can fall into water.
• Never reach for an electrical device if it has fallen into water. In such a case, immediately pull the USB charger out of the charging socket.
• Make sure that no liquid gets into the product and, if necessary, dry the product thoroughly before using it again.
• Ensure that children do not insert any objects into the product.
• When you are not using the product, cleaning it or if a malfunction occurs, always switch off the product and disconnect the power plug.
• The light source of this fixture is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life, replace the entire fixture.

Hazards for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities (for example, partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of ex-perience and knowledge (for example, older children).

• This product can be used by children aged from eight years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Keep children younger than eight years away from the product and the connecting cable.
• Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
• Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. Children can get caught in it while playing and suffocate.

WARNING!

Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the product and battery may cause an explosion or fire.

• The battery is permanently installed in the case; it cannot be replaced.
• Keep the product away from water, other liquids, open flames, and hot surfaces.
• Do not cover the product and the USB charging cable with objects or clothing.
• Do not place open fire sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the product.
• Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from easily flammable materials.
• Charge the battery of the device regularly, even if you do not use it for a longer period of time (about every 3 months). Otherwise, the battery may become deeply discharged and permanently unusable.
• Due to the battery technology used, no previous discharge of the battery is necessary during the charging process, so it can be recharged regardless of the charge status.
• Place the product on a surface that is not sensitive to heat during the charging process. Slight heating during charging is normal.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves in this case.
• Liquids leaking from batteries are chemically very aggressive. Objects or surfaces that come into contact with them can be severely damaged.

WARNING!

Hazard due to batteries!
If you use batteries improperly, there is a risk of explosion or burns from leaking battery fluid.

• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Disposing of a battery in fire, in a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery can cause an explosion.
• Exposing a battery to extremely high ambient temperatures may cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• Exposure of a battery to extremely low atmospheric pressure may cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• Do not expose batteries to unrestricted sunlight and heat. Increased risk of leakage!
• Do not charge, disassemble, or short-circuit batteries. Risk of explosion!
• Remove the battery of the remote control from the battery compartment as soon as it is empty or if you do not use the product for a longer period of time.
• Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting the battery into the remote control.
• Use only batteries of the same type.
• If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts of the remote control before inserting the battery.
• Make sure that the product is switched off after use.
• If you suspect that a battery has been swallowed or otherwise entered your body, seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not touch leaking batteries. If you do come into contact with battery fluid, wash the affected area thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If leaking battery fluid causes a skin reaction or gets into the eyes, seek additional medical attention.
• If the battery compartment in which the battery is housed can no longer be closed securely, stop using the product. Remove the battery and keep it out of the reach of children.

WARNING!

Do not swallow batteries!
Danger of chemical burns. The remote control contains a button cell battery. If the button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and death in as little as 2 hours. Keep new and used and used batteries away from children.

CAUTION!

Risk of injury!
The light from the LED lamp is bright and can damage the eyes when viewed from an insufficient distance.

• Never look into the illuminated LED lamp from a short distance.
• Never look at the illuminated LED lamp with a magnifying glass or other optical instruments.

Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.

• Place and operate the product on an easily accessible, level, dry, heat-resistant, vibration-free, and sufficiently stable base to prevent the product from falling. Do not place the product at the edge or on the edge of the base.
• Never place the product on or near hot surfaces (e.g., stove tops).
• Do not bring the product and the USB charging cable into contact with hot parts.
• Never expose the product to high temperature (heating, etc.) or weather (rain, etc.).
• Never pour liquid into the product.
• Never immerse the product in water for cleaning and do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning. The product may otherwise be damaged.
• Do not use the product if the plastic components of the product are cracked or deformed. Replace damaged components only with suitable original spare parts.

OPERATION IN DETAIL

Checking product and supplied package

IMPORTANT!

Risk of damage!
The product can become quickly damaged if you do not take care when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other sharp objects.

Open the packaging very carefully.

1. Remove the product from the packaging.
2. Check that the supply package is complete.
3. Check that the product or individual parts are not damaged. If anything is damaged, do not use the product. Contact the hotline or e-mail address given in this operating manual.

Starting up the remote control
The scope of delivery includes 1x CR2025 button cell battery for powering the remote control (11). To insert the battery, proceed as follows:

1. Press the battery slide latch on the bottom of the remote control towards the battery slide.
2. At the same time, pull the battery slide out of the remote control.
3. Insert the button cell battery included in the scope of delivery according to the polarity. The side of the posi-tive pole is marked on the back of the battery slide.
4. Reinsert the battery slide with the battery into the remote control.

Charging the product
It is recommended to fully charge the built-in battery of the RGB LED outdoor solar pendant light (1) before using the product for the first time.

Charging with the USB charging cable

IMPORTANT!

Risk of damage!
Charging the product with an unsuitable USB charger may damage the product.

Only use USB chargers with max. 5 V output voltage for charging.

1. Remove the LED module (8) from the illuminated body (2) by turning it anti-clockwise.
2. Place the product on a dry, horizontal surface that is not sensitive to heat for charging.
3. Unwrap the supplied Micro USB charging cable (7) completely.
4. Insert the Micro USB plug into the Micro USB charging socket (10).
5. Insert the USB plug into a suitable USB charger or into an active USB socket (e.g., laptop, computer). During the charging process, the LED module (8) lights up red.
   The charging time is approx. 5 hours.

When the product is fully charged, the LED module (8) doesn’t light up anymore.
Then remove the Micro USB charging cable (7) and screw the LED module (8) back onto the illuminated body (2) by turning it clockwise into the housing.

Charging with the solar panel

1. Place the product outdoors.
2. Make sure the product is not in the shade.
3. Allow the product to charge by direct sunlight on the solar panel (6) for approx. 8 hours.

The charging time depends on the light intensi-ty. If the sky is cloudy, the charging time may be longer. Make sure that the Micro USB charging cable (7) is not connected to the product during this time.
You can then use the product.

Hanging up the product
The product can be attached to suitable spots, such as trees, parasols, railings, etc., for ambient lighting. To hang the product securely, proceed as follows:

• Attach one hook (4) of the nylon cord (3) directly to the hanging bracket (5) on top of the product.
• Wrap the nylon cord (3) once tightly around a suitable spot, such as a branch or similar.
• Thread the nylon cord (3) through the upper hook (4) and close it.
  To remove the product again, open the top hook (4) and detach the nylon cord (3) from the wrapped spot.

Switching the product on/off
For basic control of the product, you must first set it to standby mode. The integrated brightness sensor for au-tomatic switch-on in sufficient darkness is also activated in this way. Proceed as follows:

1. Remove the LED module (8) from the illuminated body (2) by turning it anti-clockwise.
2. To activate the product, press and hold the on/off switch (9) on the bottom of the LED module (8) for about 2 seconds. The product and the brightness sensor are now ready. When it is sufficiently dark, the light switches on automatically.
3. If you press and hold the on/off switch (9) again for approx. 2 seconds, the product is put into a sleep mode. In this way, the product can still be switched on with the remote control (11). The brightness sensor also remains active.

To switch off the product completely, press and hold the on/off switch (9) for approx. 4 seconds. If the LED module (8) lights up red while pressing the switch, the product is deactivated. Then release the on/off switch (9) again and the LED module (8) stops glowing. The product can now no longer be switched on with the remote control (11) and the brightness sensor is inactive.
You can choose directly on the product between 6 different RGB light colours, warm white light colour and a continuous colour change. To do this, press the on/off switch (9) once or several times when the LED module (8) is already switched on. Then change the light colour and mode in this sequence: warm white – red – green – blue – yellow – turquoise – purple – stepless colour change.
Close the product again after you have put it into standby mode. To do this, take the LED module (8) and screw it onto the illuminated body (2) by turning it clockwise into the housing.

REMOTE CONTROL

You can use the remote control (11) to control the various lighting functions of the product.

Functional description of the buttons

Switching the LED illumination on/off manually

• To switch on the LED illumination, press the ON button (15) once.
• To switch the LED illumination off again, press the OFF button (14) once.

Setting the luminous colour
You can choose from a total of 15 different RGB light colours and the luminous colour warm white for the LED lighting. Proceed as follows:

• Switch on the product as described above.
• Press the buttons for colour selection (16) to select a desired RGB light colour.
• Press the button colour white (17) to set the light colour to warm white.
  After switching on, the product always lights up in the last selected colour.

Setting the brightness
While the product is permanently lit in one of the 15 RGB light colours or in warm white light colour, you can change the brightness of the LED lighting in 6 steps.

• To increase the brightness, press the UP button (12) once or several times.
• To decrease the brightness, press the DOWN button (13) once or several times.

Automatic colour change between 3 colours
The LED illumination automatically changes between the three main colours red, green and blue.

• To do this, first switch on the product as described above.
• Press the FLASH button (18) once to switch on this light mode.
• To end the light mode, press either the buttons for colour selection (16) or the white colour button (17).

Automatic colour change between 7 colours

• The LED illumination automatically changes between 7 colours: red – green – blue – yellow – turquoise – pur-ple – warm white.
• First switch on the product as described above.
• Press the STROBE button (19) once to switch on this light mode.
• To end the light mode again, press either the buttons for colour selection (16) or the white colour button (17).

Automatic continuous colour change between 3 colours
The LED illumination automatically changes between the three main colours red, green, and blue. The transitions between the colours are smooth.

• First switch on the product as described above.
• Press the FADE button (20) once to switch on this light mode.
• To exit the light mode again, press either the buttons for colour selection (16) or the white colour button (17).

Automatic, colour change with fade-in and fade-out between 3 colours
The LED illumination changes automatically between the three main colours red, green, and blue. Between the colour transitions, the illumination fades out and back in again.

• First switch on the product as described above.
• Press the SMOOTH button (21) once to switch on this light mode.
• To end the light mode again, press either the buttons for colour selection (16) or the white colour button (17).

Setting the playback speed
While the product is in one of the 4 colour change modes, you can change the playback speed of the colour changes.

• To increase the speed of the colour changes, press the UP button (12) once or several times.
• To decrease the speed of the colour changes, press the DOWN button (13) once or several times.

Water or other liquids entering the housing can cause a short circuit.

• Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the housing.

IMPORTANT!

Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, and the like. These can damage the surfaces.

1. Before cleaning, switch off the product and remove the USB cable.
2. Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
3. If the product is stubbornly dirty, use a slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent if necessary.
4. Allow all parts to dry completely afterwards.

Storage
All parts must be completely dry before storing.

• Always store the product in a dry place.
• Store the product out of children’s reach in a securely locked place and at a storage temperature between 5 °C and 20 °C (room temperature).

Disposal

Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal household waste. The consum-er is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic devices and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to the point of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose. Legislation in the country of use governs individual details regarding disposal. The symbol on the product, the user guide or the packaging indicates this legal requirement.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste!

As a consumer, you are required by law to return all batteries and rechargeable batteries, whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to a collection point in your municipality / district or in the trade, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
