Safety guidelines
Please read the instructions carefully. No liability can be assumed for any
damage which may result from failure to follow instructions. The device must
be used only for the purpose specified in the instructions. The device should
work effectively as an alarm in an emergency! Please check regularly that the
device is in working order and that the batteries are charged. This will
ensure that it functions correctly in the event of a (hopefully unlikely)
emergency.
Due to unusually high electromagnetic radiation, manipulation, or other
influences, malfunctions may be triggered. The device must not be installed in
damp areas or near electrical devices which emit radiation. Battery operated
devices must not be used in high temperatures, near sources of heat, or
exposed to direct sunlight. Ensure that packaging and contents are kept well
away from children to avoid any risk of suffocation. Please keep instructions
in a safe place.

Installation instructions
-
Check the strength of the Wi-Fi signal at the site of installation with your smartphone. The reception quality should be at least two graduation marks to be able to guarantee an alarm.
-
First remove the battery strap from the siren.
-
Set up the sensor in the app before installation and test the function.
-
Fasten the Noise 2162 with adhesive tape if the surface allows a secure hold. Otherwise, use the enclosed screws and dowels to fix the detector in the desired position. Use a 4 mm drill bit for the hole. Mark the drilling depth on the drill, e.g. with a pen or adhesive tape. Before drilling, check whether there is a risk of hitting water, gas, or electricity lines, for instance.
-
Avoid installation on metallic surfaces and near live cables, as these may impair the function.
Note: If you have aluminium or metal frames/doors, test whether the function works reliably at the desired position before mounting. -
Mount the Noise 2162 in the desired position.
Correct location for installation
The radio signal of the sensor is highly dependent on environmental conditions. Metal objects, concrete surfaces, walls and metallic wiring can also reduce the range. The device can also be impaired by other radio signals and environmental influences. Check the function after installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The alarm can only work as well as permitted by its installation and environment. The alarm can alert you of dangerous situations but it cannot prevent them.
The device must not be painted, varnished or altered in any way.
Replacing the battery/reset button
To change the battery or press the reset button, the Noise 2162 must be opened. Place the siren in one hand and turn the top shell clockwise (counter clockwise) with the other hand to open (close) it.
Resetting to factory settings
To reset the device to factory settings, press and hold the reset button for
at least 10 seconds.
Please note that you must delete the device from your account in order to use
it in other apps.
Please also note that each device is bound to one account and must first be
deleted from your account if you wish to hand it over to another person or the
service team.
