Device

STONE SPLITTER GSK 110/330
Professional stone splitter for craftsmen and handymen, curb stones and natural stones can be split without big force. Thanks to automatically adjusting the upper blade, sprung support plates and 3 adjusting options of the splitting height, using a fastening bolt, makes the accurate splitting of all kinds of pavement child game, including making the stop angle.

Warranty
A warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months apply to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
Warranty applies exclusively to failures due to defective material or workmanship. An original sale slip with an indication of the date of sale must be presented in case of claiming the warranty rights.
The warranty does not cover unprofessional use such as device overload, violent use, damage caused by a third party or foreign materials, failure to comply with operations and assembly manual, and normal wear and tear.

General Safety Instructions

Safety Warning! While violating these instructions, you can injure yourself or another person.

  1. Read the whole manual before starting the device. All operating personnel must be informed about safety instructions when using the device.
  2. Do not use the stone splitter when tired or under influence of drugs, alcohol, or narcotics
  3. always wear safety goggles, safety gloves, and safety shoes.
  4. Make sure you can move your hands-free on the device, so you can work safely.
  5. Keep your workplace clean and tidy at all times and ensure proper lighting. Chaos and working in dark can cause injuries.
  6. Secure the rotating lever when not using the device or while transporting it.
  7. Make sure your hands are not placed under the cutting edge.

Behavior in case of emergency
Apply the first aid adequate to the injury and get qualified medical assistance as quickly as possible. Protect the injured person from more accidents and calm him/her down. For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance with DIN 13164, a workplace has to be fitted with a first-aid kit. It is essential to replace any used material in the first-aid kit immediately after it has been used. If you seek help, state the following pieces of information:

  1. Accident site
  2. Accident type
  3. Number of injured persons
  4. Injury type(s)

Use as designated
Works other than those for which the appliance has been designed and which are specified in the Operating Instructions cannot be performed with this appliance.
Any other use will be considered use in conflict with the designation. The manufacturer will not be liable for any consequential damage and injuries. Please be sure to know that the appliance has not been designed for industrial purposes.
Disposal
Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms on the device or packaging. A description of the pictograms is given in the “Identification” chapter.
Disposal of transport packaging Packaging protects the device against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according to their effect on the environment and disposal methods and can therefore be recycled. Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves resources and costs for packaging disposal. Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous for children. Risk of suffocation! Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children and dispose of as soon as possible.
Requirements for the operator
The operator should have read the operating manual carefully before using the product.
Qualification
Besides detailed training through skilled staff, no special qualification for the use of the product is necessary.
Minimum age
The product may not be operated by people, who are less than 16 years old.
The use by young people forms an exception if the operation takes place during vocational training to achieve the skill and under supervision through a trainer.
Training
The use of the product requires only corresponding training through a skilled staff or on the basis of the operating manual. Special training is not necessary.
Operation
Make sure the stone splitter is positioned properly and cannot be tipped over.
Instructions step by step

  1. Mark a split line on the workpiece, where you want it to be split.
  2. Put the workpiece into the splitter and position the cutting edge on the split line with the lever halfway down.
  3. Press the lever down with constant pressure.
  4. Cutting edge will break the stone evenly along the marked line.

Maintenance and protection

All service and repair works can be done by skilled professionals only.

  • Keep the device clean of dust and stone sherds.
  • Grease the mechanical parts with a suitable lubricant.

Turning the cutting blade:

  • If the blade is worn out, turn the squared steel. Loose four hexagonal bolts and take the squared steel out. The intact edge is put back into the cutting mechanism and secured it with hexagonal bolts.

up nor down.| Look for bits of stones on the splitter.| Remove the bits of stones using a  brush or by blowing.
The workpiece is not standing on upholstered supports evenly.| There can be small bits of stones on the upholstered supports.| Clean up the upholstered supports and lower part of the splitter.
