TRUTH Digital Pressure Gauges
Instruction Manual
The TRUTH Digital Pressure Gauge has a precise ±1.0% full-scale accuracy. The
four-digit digital display will reduce the potential for errors in readings by
eliminating parallax errors commonly produced with analog gauges.
The TRUTH is packaged in an ABS plastic case. The unit is battery-powered and
has an auto-shut-off to conserve battery life. A two-button keypad allows easy
access to the features without the need to work through complex menus. These
features include auto zero, and conversion of the pressure units. Readings may
be converted to various engineering units. See the chart for available units.
OPERATIONS INSTRUCTIONS
For the complete instructions for the functionality of the two buttons, see
the flow chart to the right. On/Off: To toggle between on and off. Press the
button. Device will
automatically shut off after 20 minutes, if not used.
Zero: Zeros the display. Push and hold for 2 seconds to zero the display.
If after pressing the zero the display does not re-zero, the unit is no longer
meeting the specified accuracy and should be sent back to SILCA for
calibration. Do not use the Zero button when pressure is applied.
Units: To change units, press both On/Off and Zero buttons
simultaneously. Overpressure Indicator: The LCD will flash “OFL”, if the
pressure applied is over 105% F.S. “OFL” may also be displayed when the device
is subjected to electromagnetic interference between 0.9 to 1 GHz.
MAINTENANCE
Battery Removal: Remove the outer rubber casing. Unthread the bolt on the
backplate. Lift backplate off by hand. Replace battery per polarity
indicators. Reverse steps to reassemble gauge. A “LOW BAT” descriptor
indication will appear on the display when batteries need to be replaced.
This symbol indicates waste electrical products should not be disposed of with
household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local
Authority or retailer for recycling advice.
252 Gasket Replacement: When the rubber gasket has detiorated, you will
need to replace the gasket. Order part: 252 Gasket. Unthread cap. Using a
small screwdriver, you can remove the old gasket. Replace the gasket and re-
thread the cap back into place.
