Heating mode
Imus is designed to heat two persons sitting on either side of a table. The
optimum heat is achieved by placing Imus in the middle below the table. It
will take about 1 minute from the time you switch on Imus until you feel the
heat. To get the most out of Imus, you should position yourself in such a way
that you get heat on the inside of both of your legs so that your body gets
optimal utilization of the heat. Press the On/Off switch (1) to turn off the
product if you do not require further heat.
Read the instructions before use. Keep the manual handy for any questions
about the future use of your product. The product is designed and manufactured
in compliance with European standards: CE, RoHS. The product complies with the
essential requirements of the Directives: EN 60335-2-30:2009, EN 60335-1:2012.
Warning
- Use the heater only on flat and stable ground.
- Do not cover the product or the heater’s grill. (2),(4),(5)
- Do not use under a table with a tablecloth that extends more than 4 cm of the table edge.
- Do not use a blanket while using the heater, as this may block the heater.
- Do not place bags, rugs, or other objects in such a way that they block the grill. (2)
- Do not use the heater close to curtains and other combustible materials.
- The required space between the bottom of the table and the top of the heater is 5 cm.
- Do not insert foreign objects into the heat source behind the grill. (2),(4)
- Connect the product only to outlets with earth (GND).
- Do not place the heater directly below a socket outlet.
- Do not use the heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower, or a swimming pool.
- Always take the product indoors after use, and let the product cool off before packing it away
- Do not use this heater outdoor during bad weather like rain, storm, or snow
- Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity unless they are supervised and instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.
RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE AND ACCIDENT TO INFANTS AND CHILDREN
- Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials or the product. There is a risk of suffocation and loss of life from electric shock.
Maintenance and cleaning
- Disconnect the plug from the socket before cleaning or when the product is not in use for prolonged periods of time.
- Do not clean the product until 60 minutes after it is turned off.
- When cleaning, do not spray cleaners or water directly into the product.
- Apply the cleaner on a cloth and wipe the product.
- For cleaning of reflector plate, please remove the grills. Clean the reflector plate with a rag with glass cleaner, please DO NOT TOUCH the lamp with fingers or the cloth.
- For cleaning the grills, please remove the grills. Clean the grills with a cloth with a glass cleaner.
- Regular maintenance of the product is recommended, as this will prolong the product’s service life and appearance (in coastal areas, the product should be cleaned more frequently, due to atmospheric salinity).
- Regularly check the cord for damages and ensure that the plug is clean.
- If the power cord, lamp, or other electrical parts need replacing, this must be done only by a qualified professional.
Troubleshooting
Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below:
- Make sure the power cord is connected correctly.
- Check the cable for any ruptures.
- Make sure the On/ Off switch has been pressed.
- Check whether the bulb has blown.
- If the product is turned off due to overheating caused by improper use (overheat sensor), the product must be disconnected from the socket outlet and cool off. Check the product for defects after 30 minutes of cooling. If there are no visible defects, try to reconnect the product again.

Disposal
European directive 2002/96/EC on Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste (WEEE), requires that old household appliances are not thrown into the normal municipal waste stream. The appliances should be collected separately to maximize the recovery and recycling of materials and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the “crossed off dustbin” is stamped on the product to recall the obligations of the separate collection. Consumers should contact their dealer or local authorities regarding the procedure to be followed for the removal of their product.
Warranty
The product warranty is pursuant to the Danish Sale of Goods Act. The warranty period starts on the day the product was purchased. Small defects and minor cosmetic flaws that do not affect the use of the product or decrease the value of the product are not covered by the warranty. The warranty must be proved by presenting an original receipt showing the purchase date and product name. Warranty repairs must be carried out by a MENSA HEATING Authorized Service Centre. The product should only be used for private.
Warranty management
A defective product must be returned to the place of purchase along with a valid receipt. If the product becomes defective during the warranty period, the product must be returned to the place of purchase. Here, warranty-related repairs will be carried out on the product if the defect pertains to the product or the production faults. Defects in the product will be tried rectified by repair or replacement of parts. In the case of an exchange of the product, the may occur differences in hue or model design compared to the purchased product.
Warranty Disclaimer
Damage or defects resulting from neglect or improper use of the product is not
covered by the warranty. Damage or defects resulting from the use of
unoriginal replacement parts or unoriginal enhancements is not covered by a
warranty. The warranty does not cover force majeure such as lightning, flood,
fire, or damage that occurred during transport. Warranty cover will be void if
the product’s serial number has been changed, if any modifications have been
made or if a repair has been attempted by any unauthorized service center.
