PIMA DPA500 Dual Element Infrared Detector Instruction Manual
Detector installation location
- Detector lens should be perpendicular to the direction of the intruder may break in
- Installation height – 2.2m
- Do not install the detector in outdoor, near air conditioners, heaters and direct sunlight
Installation steps
- Open the front cover and remove the board
- Drill the cable entry in the back cover and thread the wires
- Install the back cover in the appropriate height
- Place back the board and tighten with the plastic screw (for the maximum detection range fix the board at “0” on the vertical angle scale)
- Connect the wires to the DPA500 as below and close the front cover.
TAMP NC (1-2) – NC Tamper switch terminals +VIN GND (3-4) – DC-IN terminals
RLY NC (5-6) – NC Alarm relay terminals
Operating and adjusting
- Warmup time: 90 seconds after connecting power
- Set the pulse count number according the table below

Walk Test
Walk testing must be performed in an open area. Move with the direction which is perpendicular to the detector lens within the coverage area (see lens top view diagram below). LED flashes while alarm occurs. (LED jumper should be connected)
