corrosion.
Remove the battery door. Follow the printed icons inside the battery
compartment for correct polarity.
Insert the four batteries one at a time with the negative end (-) first so
that they depress the spring inside the battery compartment. Gently push the
batteries into place until they have fully seated in the compartment.
Replace the battery door by sliding the tabs into the battery compartment
parallel to the back of the scale then pressing the door down until it is
seated.
Replacing the Batteries
When the batteries are depleted the scale will display the low battery
indicator.
Please remove the batteries and replace them with fresh ones as soon as
possible.
Using the Removable Tray (#688330 Only)
With the scale placed on a fl at surface, reach underneath the scale with
both hands and gently squeeze the two release handles so that they move in an
outward direction.
Once the release handles have disengaged, the tray will lift off of the scale
platform. The scale is now ready to be used by a standing child or toddler who
weighs less than 44lbs.
To reattach the tray, simply align the tray with the scale platform and press
down to gently snap it back into place.
Using the AC Adapter (#688340 Only)
The Hopkins Featherweight XL Baby Scale can be powered using either the
included four AA batteries, or with the included AC Adapter. Always inspect
the AC Adapter to make sure the cord is not cut or frayed and the prongs in
the plug and the connector jack are not bent or corroded. For safety, it is
recommended to plug the AC Adapter into a surge protector or GFIC outlet.
*Note: The scale will automatically shut off when switching power sources.
The AC Adapter jack is located in the back of the scale

-
Press the “ON/TARE” button to turn on the scale. Wait until the scale displays all zeros.
-

-
The display will automatically shut off after 1 minute if the scale is not being used.
To turn the scale off manually, press and hold “ON/TARE” for 3 seconds until the display turns off.
