Assembling the chiminea
- Find a level surface on which to place your chiminea. Inspect and clear the area around the chiminea of any combustible materials.
- Place the clay body (B) in the Metal base (C) so that the ridge along the bottom diameter of the body rests on the top of the base. Then place the clay chimney (A) on top of the clay body (B).

- WARNING: When lighted, the chiminea has very hot surfaces. Use heavy-duty gloves when handling/tending to your chiminea.

- WARNING: Keep a minimum of 6 ft. distance around your chiminea from any combustible material, walls, furniture, etc..
- WARNING: Do Not use indoors or in a covered patio or near any tree, branches, awnings, umbrellas, etc.
- WARNING: Place your chiminea in an open area with no obstruction above of the chiminea.
- WARNING: Always keep a fire extinguisher within reach.
- WARNING: Do not use lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene, or any other combustible material.
- WARNING: Use heavy-duty gloves when handling/tending your chiminea.
- WARNING: Never leave your chiminea unattended until the fire is completely out.
- WARNING: Do not leave children alone or unattended in an area where the chiminea is being used. Never allow children to sit on, stand, or play around the chiminea while hot. This also applies to pets.
- WARNING: CA Prop 65; Fuels used in wood or charcoal burning appliances, and the products of combustion of such fuels, contain chemicals know to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
FOR BEST RESULTS AND TO AV0ID CRACKING
- Do not use your chiminea when wet, ONLY when dry.
- Do not use sand, silica sand, or soil in the base of the chiminea or any material that will retain moisture. The use of a metal grill is recommended.
- Do not allow the chiminea to be watered by sprinklers.
- Start a small fire slowly to allow time for the clay to expand and to avoid cracking. Continue to build your fire when the clay heats up. This process can take 15-20 minutes.
- Large fires will crack your chiminea. Never build a fire so large that it comes out of the front or top of the chiminea.
- Store your chiminea indoors out of freezing temperatures.
- Position your chiminea on a solid level surface to avoid tipping.
- Do not fire your chiminea on wooden decks.
- DO NOT put the fire out with water -THIS WILL CRACK YOUR CHIMINEA.
