Before Getting Started

Read the instructions carefully prior to assembling the product. When you open the package with a sharp tool like a cutter knife, be careful not to damage the components inside. Carefully remove all packaging materials and retain for future use. Keep all hardware parts and packaging out of reach of small children. Choose a clean, level, spacious assembly area. Avoid hard surfaces that may damage the product. Ensure that you have all required contents for complete assembly. Take care when lifting. Assemble the product in close proximity to where you intend to position the item. Do not over tighten the screws and bolts as this may damage the threads. When you have finished assembling the product, place it on a flat surface and make sure it is stable before use. Do not let children play with this product.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Keep the product away from direct heat and sunlight. Prolonged exposure to heat sources may cause glazing, melting and scorching, or even cause color to fade. Regular vacuuming or light brushing helps to remove dirt and prevent soil build-up, which increases the appearance wear.  Periodically (every 90 days) make sure that the screws are fully tightened.

Lighting Care Instructions

Carefully read through the instruction sheet before assembly and using the product. Caution there is a risk of shock. Turn off power source before installation or cleaning.  Switch off and allow bulb to cool before replacing bulb or cleaning.  Use a soft clean dry cloth that will not scratch or smudge the surface when cleaning. Only use the recommended bulb type and do not exceed the maximum wattage as it could cause fire.Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning

  • Before assembling the lighting fixture, refer to the caution notice titled ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring experience, refer to a do-it-yourself wiring handbook or have the fixture installed by a qualified, licensed electrician.
  • Before starting the installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Turning off the power to the light switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock.
  • This unit is suitable for installation in a dry, indoor location only.
  • To reduce the chance of fire or electrical shock: Do not install non-factory wiring or any other electrical components. Altering or modifying the lamp in any way will render the lamp unsafe.
  • Keep curtains, shades, wall hangings and all other fabrics and objects away from the lamp canopy, lamp shade and light bulb. Unit is not designed to support additional weight. Do not hang objects from the lamp or any lamp part.
  • To avoid the risk of electric shock or fire, do not modify this lamp; if any modification is made it may render the product unsafe.
  • This unit is to be mounted to a metal electrical junction box (outlet box) directly supported by the building structure.
  • Tools and Materials Required: (Not Included) Adjustable wrench, flathead screwdriver, wire cutters, step ladder, pliers, U.L./CSA listed electrical tape.
Electrical connections (required supply circuit: 120V, 60Hz)

Connect the white wire(s) from the fixture to the white wire of the supply circuit.
Connect the black wire(s) from the fixture to the black wire of the supply circuit.
Connect the bare copper from the fixture around the green screw on the mounting bracket, then connect it to the grounding conductor of the supply circuit together. Use U.L./CSA listed wire connectors suitable for the size, type and number of conductors. No loose strands or loose connections should be present. Secure wire connectors with U.L./CSA listed electrical tape (not included).

Bulb replacement

Use two LED bulbs (included) or use E12 type B 40-watt max. bulbs or equivalent CFL bulbs (not included).
