Install the Printer
Install the Z-axis profile
A.Expose the right profile of the base component to the table surface by about
35 mm, so that the mounting hole is exposed to the table platform;
B.Place the right profile of the Z-axis onto the base slot and pre-lock it with
two M5x45 hexagonal cylindrical head spring washer combination screws aligned
with the holes from the bottom upwards;
C.Rotate the base component by 180° so that the left profile of the base
component is exposed to the tabletop by 35 mm, then place the left profile of
the Z-axis onto the base slot, pre-lock the left profile with two M5x45
hexagonal cylindrical head spring washer combination screws aligned with the
holes from the bottom upwards, and then tighten the screws;
D.Rotate the base component by 180° again, and tighten the screw on the right
side.
Installation of power supply components and display
A.Fix the power supply component to the right profile of the Z-axis with two
M4x20 hexagonal cylindrical head spring washer combination screws; note that
the DIP switch faces backward by this moment;
B.Fix the display to the right profile of the base with two M5*8 hexagonal
button head screws.
Note: Adjust the mains voltage to suit your region.
Caution
- Please ensure the correct position for the power supply switch and mains before supply connection, in order to avoid damage to the device.
- If the mains are between 100V and 120V, please select 115V for the power supply switch.
- If the mains is between 200V and 240V, please select 230V for the power supply switch (230V by default).
Install the Z-axis limit switch
Secure the Z-axis limit switch to the outside of the left profile of the Z-axis
with 2 x M5*8 hexagon socket button head screws and 2 ship-type nuts at a
distance of 32 mm from the lowest part of the bottom profile.
Note: To lock the ship-type nut, it must be perpendicular to the profile
slot.
Install the Z-axis motor and screw rod
A.Confirm that the distance between the bottom of the coupling and the motor is
5 mm;
B.Insert the screw rod into the coupling, confirm the screw reach the bottom,
and lock the screw with tools;
C.Fix the motor and screw to the back of the left profile of the Z-axis with
two M4x18 hexagon socket countersunk head screws.
Install the extrusion kit
A.Lock and secure the extrusion kit to the X-axis profile with two M4X16
hexagonal button head spring washer combination screws;
B.Then fix the pneumatic coupling to the extrusion kit with an open-end
spanner, and tighten it in the direction shown in the figure.
Install the printhead kit and X-axis passive component
A.Install the printhead kit along the X-axis profile slot
B.Fix the Z-axis passive component to the other end of the X-axis profile with
two M4X16 hexagonal cylindrical head spring washer combination screws;
Installation of X-axis adjusting component
Loosen the screws of the X adjusting component, slide the ship-type nut along
the profile slot, and then pre-lock it with a tool;
Note: To lock the ship-type nut, it must be perpendicular to the profile slot.
Install the X-axis belt
A.Thread the belt through the pulleys of the motor and X adjusting component,
then snap the ends with the copper sleeves onto the printhead kit in the
position shown;
B.Adjust the position of the X adjusting component to make the belt be
tensioned.
Install the X-axis components
A.Make sure that the V-wheels at both ends of the X-axis component are fully
seated in the Z-axis profile slots;
B.Align the screw with the T-bar nut, and adjust the X-axis component
downwards by rotating the coupling until the screw protrudes 20mm from the
surface of the T-bar nut.
Install the top gantry profile
A.Place the top gantry profile on the profile to the left and right of the
Z-axis and lock it properly by aligning with the holes from top to bottom with
four M5x25 hexagonal cylindrical head spring washer combination screws;
B.Attach the 2 pcs of 20 profile end caps to each end of the top gantry profile.
Install the rack
A.Loosen the nut on the barrel, thread the rack through the barrel hole,
and tighten the nut again;
B.Put the rack component on the top gantry profile and lock it in place
with two M5x8 hexagon socket button head screws and two ship-type nuts.
Notes:
- Pay attention to the mounting orientation of the rack component, with the barrel facing backward;
- To lock the ship-type nut, it must be perpendicular to the profile slot.
Install wires
A.Connect the motor wires of the four XYZE axes in sequence according to the
wire markings;
B.Connect the limit switch wires for the XYZ axes in sequence according to the
wire markings;
C.Plug the color flat cable into the back of the display;
D.Connect the connector between the power supply and the motherboard.
Note: Adjust the voltage properly according to your region before plugging in the power cord, and turn on the machine only after the voltage is correct.
Auto Leveling
Note: Remove the material before leveling (ignore if no consumables are loaded) to ensure that the nozzle is free of residue, and then restore the factory settings (reset all parameter values). (Assemble (Installation) & Tutorial Video: watch it in the Assembly (Installation) & Tutorial Video → folder of the supplied in the data memory card)
-
Click the knob to enter the Main interface: first enter Configuration menu →Restore Defaults, and then back to Main menu and enter Motion menu → click Level Bed
Default: the printer automatically returns to the home position for auto- calibration of 16 points and returns to the home position again, and then the leveling is complete.
-
Enter the Main menu → click Motion → click Probe Z Offset → adjust Probe Z Offset, make sure the distance between nozzle and platform is about the thickness of an A4 sheet of paper → click Store Settings
-
Z axis height may be adjusted according to printing effect during the printing: enter Main menu → Tune → Probe Z Offset → adjust the Z-axis height to optimum effect based on situations → back to the previous interface and click Store Settings
| The nozzle is too far away from the platform, and the filaments cannot stick
to the platform.
---|---
| The filament is evenly extruded and sticks to the platform just right.
| The nozzle is too close to the platform, and the filament is not extruded
enough, which may damage the platform.
Loading the Filament
A.In order to successfully load the filament, please trim the end of the
filament at an angle of 45 degrees.
B.Press the filament until it passes through the filament detection hole. Then
press and hold the extruder handle to insert the filament into the Teflon tube
until it reaches the nozzle.
C.Warm up the nozzle. If the filament flows out of the nozzle when the
temperature reaches the target value, the filament is properly loaded.
Replacing the filament:
-
When the printer is not printing:
A. Heat the nozzle to 185℃ or higher, and wait for the filament in the nozzle to soften. Then press and hold the extrusion handle to quickly extract the filament to prevent it from clogging in the heat break.
B. Place the new filament onto the rack and repeat the steps in Section 7: Loading the Filament. -
When the printer is printing:
A. Pause the printing. After the printer stops, press and hold the extrusion handle and quickly extract the filament to prevent it from clogging in the heat break.
B. Place the new filament onto the rack and press it through the filament detector. Press and hold the extrusion handle to insert the filament into the nozzle. Then push the filament to squeeze out the residual filament in the nozzle and clean up the nozzle before resuming printing.

Start Printing
Before printing, please check the printer again by following these steps:
When the printer is powered off:
- The nozzle is tightly connected and moves smoothly to the left and right.
- The X axis is horizontal and stable (not wobbling up or down), and it moves run smoothly up and down.
- The Y axis is tightly connected. The platform does not shake and moves back and forth smoothly.
- The filament rack does not shake. The rollers are smooth. The filament extrusion is smooth.
When the printer is powered on:
- The screen display and knob work properly. The movements of the X, Y, and Z axes are smooth.
- The nozzle and hotbed heat up properly.
- The feed and return of the filament work properly.
