Product Usage Instructions
Helmet Assembly
Ensure all replaceable parts are securely attached to the helmet according
to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Fitting the Helmet
Adjust the suspension band to fit your head comfortably and securely. The
chin strap should be fastened snugly under your chin.
Safety Guidelines
Always read and follow all safety instructions provided with the helmet.
Ensure the helmet is appropriate for the specific task or environment.
Maintenance and Care
Regularly inspect the helmet for any damage or wear. Clean the helmet with
mild soap and water, and avoid using harsh chemicals that may degrade the
materials.
WARNING: Read all instructions and warnings before using this helmet. Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in serious personal injury, including death. This product might contain ingredients that are known to be a possible cause of allergies to sensitized people and, hence may develop irritant and/or allergic contact reactions. If an allergic reaction should occur, obtain medical advice. This helmet must not be used alone as an electrical insulation device. Ensure that additional insulation protective equipment is used, as appropriate to the risks involved in the work being undertaken. Avoid contact with electrical wires. Never store gloves, cigarettes, earplugs, etc., between the suspension and the shell. Objects in this space can transmit large forces to the head and neck, resulting in serious injury or death. Never use this helmet as avehicular or sports helmet. Never alter or modify this helmet in any way. Never use paint, solvents, or hydrocarbon-type cleaners (that is, thinner, gasoline, kerosene, etc.) on the helmet, which may cause unnoticeable damage
INTRODUCTION
The range of helmets has been designed to provide head protection from the top and side to exceed
EN 397:2012 / EN 50365 (Non-vented only) / EN 12492 (Clauses 4.2.1.2 – front, 4.2.1.3 – lateral, 4.2.1.4 – rear, Penetration – Clause 4.2.2) / ANSI Z89.1 – 2014 / CSA Z94.1 2015 / NOM–115–STPS–2009. They offer protection to the wearer against falling objects and consequential brain injury and skull fracture.
Using And Installation Instructions
USE (FITTING AND ADJUSTMENT): For adequate protection, this helmet must be adjusted to fit the user’s head. Unauthorized helmet alterations are prohibited.
SUSPENSION HEIGHT – Vertical Adjustment
-
Do NOT remove the suspension to vertically adjust the height. Utilize the three vertical positions of the suspension: high (H), middle (M), and low (L) (Picture 3).

Customize fit by simply pulling the key peg out and inserting it into the desired slot height position on the headband.
ADJUSTING THE SUSPENSION SIZE – Ratchet Suspension -
Turn the ratchet knob counterclockwise until the headband opens to the largest size, and place the helmet on your head.

Turn the ratchet knob clockwise until the headband is comfortable, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
INSTALLING THE CHIN STRAP -
Locate the C1, C2, C3, C4 markings on the shell (Picture 4).

Insert chin strap clips into respective clip slots (grey color).
-
Push clips firmly until they lock in place.
ADJUSTING THE HELMET -
Ensure the helmet is in the correct position relative to your head (Pictures 1 and 2).

For adequate protection, this helmet must fit or be manually adjusted to the size of the user’s head.

The adjustment strap can be used to loosen or tighten until a secure and comfortable fit is achieved
INSTALLING THE VISOR -
Place the visor in position.
-
Press the elastic rib of the adapter (Picture 5).
-
Push visor holders into slots.
VISOR OPERATION -
Rotate the visor down to its middle or lowest limit when you need eye protection (Picture 6).
-
Lift the visor up to its top limit when you do not need eye protection (Picture 6).
UV SHADE MOUNT -
The UV Shade has four clips (Picture 7).

Fix the middle clips to the shell slots marked as U1, U2. Hang the left and right clip onto the headband
HEADLAMP MOUNT -
Type 1) For a Northern Light 2 type of mining light, on the front of the shell, pull out the tab from the slot (Picture 8). Then click the headlamp in;

Type 2) For a strapped task headlamp, use the four clips outside the shell to mount the headlamp (Picture 9). SUSPENSION REPLACEMENT
-
Locate the clip slots S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8 (black color) on the shell (Picture 10).

Press the tab on the clip to unlock the clip.
-
Pull the clip out of the slot.
-
Repeat for each clip.
-
Remove the suspension from the shell.
-
Fit a new suspension in place following the instructions in reverse order.
SWEATBAND REPLACEMENT -
Unlock the sweatband from the suspension tabs (Picture 11).
-
Remove the worn sweatband.
-
Fit a new sweatband onto the suspension using the tabs. CHIN STRAP REPLACEMENT
-
Locate the C1, C2, C3, C4 chin strap clips (grey color) (Picture 4).
-
Press the tab on the clip to unlock the clip.
-
Pull the clip out of the slot.
-
Repeat for each clip.
-
Remove the worn chin strap.
-
Fit a new chin strap in place following the instructions in reverse order.
VISOR REPLACEMENT -
Press the elastic rib of the adapter and remove the visor holder (Picture 12).
-
Repeat for the other visor holder.
-
Take off the worn visor.
-
Place the new visor in position, and push visor holders into slots. UV SHADE REPLACEMENT
-
Unlock the middle clips from shell slots U1, and U2 (Picture 7).
-
Release the left and right clips from the headband.
-
Mount a new UV shade in place.
HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT -
Type 1) For a Northern Light 2 type of mining light, click the faulty headlamp out of the shell. Then, click in a functional headlamp (Picture 8).

Type 2) For a strapped task headlamp, dismount the faulty headlamp from the four clips outside the shell. Then, mount a functional headlamp (Picture 9).
BATTERY REPLACEMENT and DISPOSAL
BATTERY REPLACEMENT and DISPOSAL: When batteries in the headlamp reach the end of life, remove the headlamp from the helmet, open the headlamp back lid, and remove the batteries. Dispose of the device and batteries by regional regulations.
This symbol indicates that this product and/or parts of the product may not be treated as household or municipal waste. Waste electrical products (end of life) should be recovered/recycled where suitable specialist WEEE disposal facilities exist. For more information about recycling of this product, contact your local authority, our agent/distributor, or the manufacturer.
INSPECTION: Shell and suspension should be visually inspected before each use for signs of dents, cracks, penetration, and damage due to impact, rough treatment or wear that might reduce the degree of protection originally provided. A helmet with worn damaged, defective parts, or which has received a severe impact, should be removed from service.
CLEANING
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION : Shell cover and suspension (including textiles, straps, ratchet) assembly and optional chinstrap (including straps, and buckles) should be scrubbed with a mild detergent and rinsed in clear water approximately at 40°C (104°F). After rinsing, helmet components should be carefully inspected for any signs of damage.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION: This product should be stored in a cool dark place and should be transported in its original packaging. Before first use and between successive uses, the helmets should be stored in a suitable box or container. They should not be compressed or stored close to any source of heat. It is recommended that the storage temperature is kept in the range (20± 15)°C (68± 27°F).
LIMITATIONS OF USE: Helmets should not be used below -30°C (-22°F) or above +50°C (122°F). It is recommended to replace the helmet every 3 years as necessary even if it passes the above inspection (see date clock on shell or label for production date).
