MOZA MINI-MX3 Mobile Gimbal

Product Information

  • Unlock the Gimbal
    • Follow the steps shown in the pictures provided in the manual to unlock the gimbal. Do not power on the gimbal before unlocking.
  • Balance Adjustment
    • Place your mobile phone in the phone holder with its camera facing outwards. Ensure the phone is balanced and leveled in a natural state to avoid issues when turning on the gimbal.
  • Activate the Gimbal
    • To activate the gimbal, connect to the MOZA Genie App, select the gimbal to be connected, and follow the activation prompts. If activation fails, try to reactivate or contact customer service for assistance.
  • Firmware Upgrade
    • To upgrade the firmware, download the latest version of the MOZA Genie APP, connect to the app, select the gimbal, and click on firmware upgrade. Once completed, turn off the upgrade process.
  • Bluetooth Reset
    • If you encounter Bluetooth connectivity issues with your phone, perform a Bluetooth reset by powering on the gimbal and holding the (Mode & Record) button until the power indicator flashes. Update the firmware to change the device’s Bluetooth name and reconnect using the new name.

  • Q: How do I switch between gimbal modes?
    • A: Press the Mode Button once to switch between different gimbal modes.
  • Q: What do I do if the activation of the gimbal fails?
    • A: If activation fails, try to reactivate. If it fails again, follow the prompts to contact customer service for assistance.
  • Q: How can I control the rotation and direction of the phone camera?
    • A: Use the Joystick to push up/down/left/right to control the rotation and direction of the phone camera.

PRODUCT USING INSTRUCTION

Unlock the Gimbal

Follow the steps shown in the pictures below and unlock the gimbal.

Balance Adjustment

Place the mobile phone in the phone holder with its camera facing outwards.

  • Do not turn on the gimbal without a balanced load.
  • Adjust the phone holder to keep the phone leveled in a natural state.

Activate the Gimbal

  • Connecting to the MOZA Genie App
    • Enter the APP main interface to select the gimbal to be connected, the activation prompt box will pop up, click Activate.
    • After the activation is completed, the gimbal will work normally.
    • If activation fails, please try to reactivate, if it fails again, please follow the prompts to contact customer service.
  • Firmware upgrade
1. Please download the latest version of the MOZA Genie APP.
2. Connect to the app, tap the Bluetooth icon, and select the gimbal to connect. Click firmware upgrade, turn it off after completion, and the upgrade process is done.
  • Bluetooth reset
    • When you cannot search for Bluetooth on your phone, please power on the gimbal, and hold the ( Mode& Record ) button at the same time until the power indicator flashes.
    • Then the Bluetooth reset is successful.
    • Connect the app, please update the firmware to change the device’s Bluetooth name, then reconnect using the new name.

Operation & Use

Record Button

  • Single press: start/stop recording/wake up
  • Press twice: take a photo
  • Press and hold: power on/of

Mode Button

  • Single press and hold: all locking mode
  • Press twice and hold: sports gear mode
  • Single press: switch between gimbal modes
  • Press twice: re-center the gimbal

Side wheel

  • Single press: switch between A/B mode 4
  • Mode A: Mode B
  • Move upwards: zoom in
  • Move downwards: zoom out
  • Move upwards: roll axis rotates counterclockwise
  • Move downwards: roll axis rotates clockwise

Joystick

  • Push the joystick up/down/left/right to control the rotation & direction of the phone camera.
  • Inception mode: move leftwards, roll axis rotates counterclockwise

Trigger A

  • Single press: Switch between landscape and portrait mode
  • Single press and hold: All lock mode
  • Press twice: re-center the gimbal

Trigger B

  • Single press: facial recognition
  • Press twice: switch between front and rear cameras
