Product Usage Instructions
Attaching the Battery
- Align the battery with the rails on the back of the radio.
- Press the battery firmly and slide upwards until the latch snaps into place.
- Slide the battery latch into the lock position.

- Turn off the radio.
- Set the antenna in the receptacle and turn it clockwise.
Turning the Radio On and Off
- Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise or counterclockwise until a click sounds.
Adjusting the Volume
- Rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the volume.
LED Indicators
- Blinking Red: The Radio has failed the self-test, moved out of range, Mute mode enabled, received an emergency transmission, transmitted in a low battery state, or indicated a battery mismatch.
- Solid Green: The radio is powering up, transmitting, sending a Call Alert, or an emergency transmission.

Attaching the Battery
NOTE: For optimal performance, charge a new battery 14 to 16 hours before initial use.
- Align the battery with the rails on the back of the radio.
- Press the battery firmly, and slide upwards until the latch snaps into place.

Solid Green
- Radio is powering up, transmitting, or sending a Call Alert or an emergency transmission.
Blinking Green
- Radio is receiving a call or data, detecting activity over the air, or retrieving Over-the-Air Programming transmissions.
Double Blinking Green
- Radio is receiving a privacy-enabled call or data.
Solid Yellow
- Radio is monitoring a conventional channel or in Bluetooth Discoverable Mode.
Blinking Yellow
- Radio is scanning for activity, has Flexible Receive List enabled, has yet to respond to a Call Alert, or all Capacity Plus-Multi-Site channels are busy.
Double Blinking Yellow
- Radio has Auto Roaming enabled, has yet to respond to a Group Call Alert, is actively searching for a new site, is not connected to the repeater while in Capacity Plus, is locked, or all Capacity Plus channels are busy.
Lightbar Color Indicators
- The following color indicators appear on the home screen on the left side of the radio display.
- Light Blue Radio is available for call.
- Yellow The radio is receiving calls.
- Red Radio transmits calls.
- Grey The radio is unprogrammed or not connected.
Display Icons
- The following icons appear on the status bar at the top of the radio display. The icons are arranged leftmost in order of appearance or usage and are channel-specific.
