Please read the user instruc-tions carefully and completely before using the appliance and retain it for future reference. Remove all packaging and labels and dispose them appropriately.

How to Use the Appliance

Variable speed regulator

When activating the variable speed button (2), the processing speed corresponds to the setting of the variable speed regulator (1). The higher the setting, the faster the chopping speed. You can adjust the speed conveniently during operation by turning the speed regulator. Maximum processing speed can be achieved by pressing the Turbo button (3). You may also use the Turbo button for instant powerful pulses without having to manipulate the speed regulator.

Blending Shaft (A)

The hand blender is perfectly suited for preparing dips, sauces, salad dressings, soups, and baby food, as well as drinks, smoothies, and milkshakes. For best results, use the Turbo speed. For detailed processing instructions refer to section A.

Whisk Accessory (A)
Use the whisk only for whipping cream, beating egg whites, making sponge cakes, and ready-mix desserts. For best results, use the highest speed. For detailed processing instructions refer to section A.

Puree Accessory (B) The puree accessory can be used to mash cooked vegetables and fruits such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, plums, and apples. For detailed processing instructions refer to section B.

Chopper Accessory (C)

The chopper (10) is perfectly suited for chopping meat, hard cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, vegetables, bread, crackers, and nuts. Immediately stop processing when motor speed decreases and/or strong vibrations occur. Use the «mc» chopper (10) for larger quantities and hard foods. The «mc» chopper does not have the number of ingredients higher than the max line. Only the «mc» chopper accessory (10) with the special ice blade (10c) is allowed to crush ice cubes. Refer to the Processing Guide C for maximum quantities, recommended times,s and speeds. «hc» Recipe example: Honey-Prunes (as a pancake stuffing or spread) 50 g prunes 75 g creamy honey 70 ml water (vanilla-flavoured)

• Fill the «hc» chopper bowl with prunes and creamy honey.
• Store at 3 °C in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
• Add 70 ml water (vanilla-flavoured).
• Chop 1 second at Turbo speed.

Use the chopper accessory «hc» (optional accessory available at your Braun Service Center; however not in every country).

Size control chopper Accessory (D)

The size control chopper is perfectly suited for chopping hard cheese, onions, apples, chocolate, nuts, and ice. By using the knives, the size control chopper, and the size control insert it is possible to achieve food size results in XS, S, and L. Only the size control chopper accessory (11) with the special ice blade (11c) is allowed to crush ice cubes. Refer to Processing Guide D for maximum quantities, recommended times, and speeds.

Mini Food Processor Accessory (E)

The mini food processor accessory can be used for:

• chopping and ice crushing;
• slicing, shredding, and grating.

Chopping / Ice crushing (E)

Using the blades (12e/12f) you can chop meat, hard cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, vegetables, bread, crackers, nuts, and ice cubes. Only a mini food processor accessory (12) with a special ice blade (12f) is allowed to crush ice cubes. Refer to the Processing Guide E for maximum quantities and speeds.

Slicing / Shredding / Grating (F)

• Use the fine shredding/slicing disc (i) to shred and slice foods such as cucumbers, onions, mushrooms, apples, carrots, radishes, potatoes, zucchini, and cabbage.
• Use the coarse shredding/slicing disc (ii) to shred and slice foods such as apples, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, cabbage, and hard cheese (like Parmesan).
• Use the fine / coarse grating disc (iii) to grate such foods as potatoes, radish, ginger, Chinese yam, and lotus root.

Caution

• Never open the lid while the discs are still rotating.
• Do not use the accessory to process foods or spices with high essential oil content (for example turmeric or cloves).
