carefully before using this product. Protect yourself and others by observing

Safety instructions
1.1 Explanation of the symbols

1.2 General safety instructions
- Read the operation carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, and high humidity. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not immerse it in water.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull the plug out from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable). If the appliance is not being used and removed any attached accessories.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised. To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is not hanging and that children do not have access to the appliance.
- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- This appliance is for household use only.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid exposure to danger, always ensure a faulty cable is replaced only by the manufacturer, by their customer service, or by a qualified person with a cable of the same type.
- The appliances can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- If the supply cord is damaged, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid any hazard.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions”.
- WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
1.3 Special Safety instructions for this kettle
- Use only cold water when filling.
- The water level must be between the MAX and MIN marks! If the water level exceeds the MAX level, boiling water and steam may be ejected, which may cause burn.
- Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
- The kettle is only to be used with the base unit provided.
- Do not immerse in water.
- If the supply cord is damaged, do not use the kettle, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid any hazard.
- Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
- The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

2.2 First use of the kettle
Please read these operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe
place for future reference.
Before using it for the first time, boil and pour away the boiled water.
Repeat once or more if a taste or smell is noticed. Use only water without any
additives or ingredients.
2.3 Use
- Place the kettle on a flat surface.
- Lift off the kettle lid. Then fill with cold water. The water level can be read off the water level indicator at the side of the kettle. Do not overfill the kettle.
- Put back the lid, and make sure the lid was fully inserted.
- Place the kettle on the base unit.
2.4 Electrical connection
- Check whether the mains voltage supply that you intend to use is the same as the kettle. For information on the voltage supply of the kettle, please see the rating label on the base.
- Switch on the kettle using the On/Off switch. The control lamp lights up.
- The kettle switched off automatically when the water has boiled. Now disconnect the kettle from the mains power supply if further use is required. Always ensure that the lid is locked in the closed position when pouring the water out. Beware of scalding!
Maintenance
3.1 Regular Cleaning
- Read the safety instructions in this manual before cleaning.
- Switch off, unplug, empty the kettle and allow to cool before cleaning.
- Open the lid, remove the filter, rinse the filter under warm water and brush off any impurities.
- The extensor of the kettle should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth. Dot does not use harsh or abrasive cleaners!
- It is recommended that you regularly descale your kettle using a kettle descaler to increase the life expectancy and reduce limescale build-up, in extreme hard areas we highly recommend using filtered water in your kettle to increase the life expectancy and prevent limescale build-up.
3.2 Descaling

Fill the kettle up to “max“ with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
Switch on and wait for the appliance to switch off automatically. -
Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.

Discard the mixture the next morning.

Fill the kettle with clean water up to the “max“ mark and boil again.

Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.

Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
Notice: Descale the kettle regularly. With normal use: at least twice a year!

Disposal instructions
5.1 Disposal of the packaging
• Please refer to the guidelines and standards for appropriate disposal of the
packaging valid in your region. In part, the package may consist of plastic
bags – watch this respect, with special care to ensure that this is not out of
the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation!
5.2 Disposal of old equipment
• Old equipment must be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines and
regulations of the local waste disposal department.
5.3 Meaning of the “dustbin”
Protect our environment; electrical appliances do not belong in household
waste. Use the provided for the disposal of electrical equipment collection
points and enter the electrical and electronic equipment that you no longer
use. They help ensure that the potential effects of incorrect disposal on the
environment and human health are avoided. So, do your part to recycle,
recycle, and other forms of recovery of waste electrical and electronic
equipment. For information on where the device is disposed of, please contact
