The Dutch Oven has its origins in the “Wild West” and was used as a universal cooking utensil. Due to its very flexible application possibilities, it is still considered one of the most popular barbecue tools among outdoor fans and barbecue enthusiasts.
The thick-walled pot made of high-quality cast iron has excellent thermal conductivity, as well as heat storage and is therefore ideal for cooking, baking, and stewing. Best results with stews, goulash, soups, roasts or even breads and cakes are guaranteed!

Installation and first use

  1. Remove the product and all accessories from the packaging. Check that the product shows no signs of damage.
  2. Completely remove the packaging from the device.
  3. Clean the pot with hot water, please do not use detergent or other cleaners, as this may damage the protective layer and the pot will rust.
  4. Dry the cast-iron pot completely.
  5. We recommend a burn-in process before the first use in order to create a thicker protective layer as a basis for permanent use.

Burn-in process

  • To protect your cast iron pot from rust, you need to burn it in. You can do this before the first use or between uses if the patina (protective layer) is damaged or rust has formed.
  • If the pot has rust stains, these should first be removed with a wire brush. Subsequently, the pot must be thoroughly cleaned with warm water and dried well.
  • After you have thoroughly cleaned your pot, you can either rub it with a special care paste inside and outside or with neutral oil or vegetable fat. To do this, use sunflower oil, coconut oil or other high-temperature resistant fats.
  • After that, the pot is placed in the oven for two hours at about 180 degrees Celsius or burned on the grill.
  • Attention! When burning this product, there may be increased smoke development. We recommend that you burn in the open air!
  • Let the Dutch Oven cool slowly and grease all parts again. The Dutch Oven is now ready for use.

Storage and cleaning

  • A Dutch Oven is made of cast iron, which is susceptible to rust. Therefore, it must be thoroughly cleaned and maintained after each use to ensure a long service life.
  • After cooking, let the pot cool and remove all food debris. If necessary, you can use a sponge or brush to remove sticky or burnt-in residues.
  • The Dutch Oven is of course not suitable for the dishwasher.
  • After cleaning, pot must always be thoroughly dried and rubbed with oil or vegetable fat. It is best to rub with a thin, lint-free cloth.
  • The pot should be stored in a dry place and be able to breathe. For better ventilation of the pot, place a cardboard or wooden wedge between the lid and the pot.

Quality information

  • Minor unevenness in the surface or small irregularities in the wall thickness are normal and not a reason for complaint.
  • A slight “tilting” of the lid s cannot be ruled out 100%, here the production-related tolerance range is 2mm. A lid that is not 100% resting does not pose any problems during use and does
