Prepare

Device requirements:

One Android phone with Alexa App installed/One Apple phone with system version 16.3 and above Machine/One Home Pod Mini speaker/Echo speaker/One Google speaker and phone with Google home;

Network environment:
Ensure that the phone, speaker, and device are on the same 2.4G WiFi local area network.

Alexa App Download

Android users search, download, and install on the Google Play a pp store;
10S users search for “Alexa” in the App Store to download and install;

Google Home App Download

Android users can also download the Android app used for Matter testing; Attached link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.
android.apps.chromecast.app.

Follow the prompts on each app to register users, or log in to the app using an already registered account.

Apple Home App Distribution Network

The first step is to power on and off the equipments times, and the cold white light of the equipment flashes to enter the distribution network state; Step

Open the Home App, click on the “+” sign on the homepage, select “Add or Scan Accessories “, and use the QR code to scan the device Follow the prompts to add;

After the device is successfully added, the location and name of the device can be changed, as shown in the following figure;

Alexa App Matching Network

In the first step, the equipment is powered on and off five times, and the cold white light oft he equipment flashes that it enters into the distribution network state;

Step 2 :0pen the Alexa App, click the”+” sign on the home page, select ” Add Device”, then select “other”, select “Connect your Matter Device”. Select “Connect your Matter Device”. In the last picture below, you can choose whether to swipe the code or enter the pairing code, and then swipe the code or enter the pairing code to finish adding.

The button marked in yellow is for entering the matching code to add.

The device is successfully added and returns to the device list.

Google Home App with Network

Note: For devices that are not CSA certified and use the Google Home App for mapping Matter devices, you need to create the corresponding items and products in Google’s Console backend, the Console backend address is as follows: https://console.home.
google.com/u/0/projects If it is an authenticated device, skip steps 4.2 and 4.3.

Click on “Create a project” to enter the interface and enter the name of the project:

After creating the project, click on the project details:

Click on ” Add Matter Integration” to go to the product details page for creating a Matter:

Enter the name of the product, select the type of product, if the product is not certified, select Test VID, enter the hexadecimal product ID (PIO), here fill in: Test VID is Ox FFF l, PIO is Ox8005 (the PIO needs to confirm with the technical engineer)
Once the above project has been created, the account supports adding matter devices;

App Distribution Network

  1.  Sign in to t he Google Home App using the account that was created for Project in Google Console;

  2. 0pen the Google Home App home page, click ‘ +’ , click ‘ Set up device ‘ after the jump, select’ New device” and press prompt to add a device;

  3. Setting the location of the room to which the device belongs and modifying the device name after the device is successfully added.
