Upgrade Guide
The firmware on your UVC to HDMI Adapter 2nd Gen acts as the operating system for your device. Updating to the latest firmware version provides bug fixes, new features, and improved performance. This guide will take you through the steps to safely upgrade your adapter’s firmware. Please ensure to read all instructions carefully before beginning.
Before You Upgrade
Before you start the upgrade, please prepare:
- OBSBOT UVC to HDMI Adapter 2nd Gen
- Power Adapter*1
- Power Supply Cable*1
- Data Transfer Cable*1
After preparing, download the “OBSBOT Upgrade” from the official site: https://www.obsbot.com/download
Upgrading Firmware
- Open the “OBSBOT Upgrade” software on your computer.
- Connect the power cable and the data cable to the UVC to HDMI Adapter 2nd Gen and the computer like following example:
- The software will automatically detect the status of your device.
- If a new upgrade is available for the current device, a notification will appear near the “Firmware Version”.
- Click “Update” to start the process.
- If you’re an insider or a user who wants to manually upgrade your device, click “Manual Upgrade”, and select the firmware file (usually a .bin file) in the pop-up window.
- OBSBOT Upgrade will start upgrading the device’s firmware.
- Once the upgrade is completed, an upgrade confirmation will be displayed.
