USING YOUR DEVICE
OPERATING YOUR PRODUCT
- Be sure the device contains water before use, as the water level should remain within the MIN and MAX indicators at all times.
- Properly insert the electrical cord into its socket on the back of the machine and then plug it into the wall outlet to illuminate the display.
- Place food-filled vacuum bags within the pouch rack and then place the rack into the water bath.
- Select time and temperature settings.
- Press start to activate the device.
- Once the set time is complete, the device will not be powered off. It continues working for one hour, with a warning tone in one-minute intervals until the stop button is selected.
- When the temperature setting is reached, the device stops heating and the heating mark disappears.
- If the temperature surpasses 200°F, the pump will not function and the water cycling will automatically power off.
USAGE NOTES
- If the pump makes a slight noise upon starting, that’s because the water in the bath is starting to circulate. Please wait 5-10 seconds and the noise will disappear.
- When filling water within the bath, be sure that the water level will be between the MIN and MAX levels.
- This cooker is not suitable for cooking food directly, food must be packed in bags before placing into the bath.
- If the bag breaks or leaks during cooking, please remove it, clean the water bath and start again with newly packed food.
- If the cooker has an abnormal noise while cooking, that is possibly caused by the impurities sucked into the pump. Stop the device, clean it and then restart.
- After using, please remove the water from the bath.
CLEANING AND CARE
CLEANING TIPS
- Do not leave water in the bath after use. Allow the water bath to cool before removing the racks, and, using the offset handles for stability, pour the liquid into a sink or basin.
- Dry the interior with a soft cloth.
- If impurities are released into the pump, please remove water from the bath and remove the baffle using a screwdriver. Refill with clean water (adding detergent if necessary) and power the device on. The water cycle will remove the impurities gradually. When the cooker is well cleaned, you may stop the machine and extract wastewater from the bath.
- Never immerse the unit in water or other liquid when cleaning or rinsing.
- Never use abrasives or harsh chemicals to clean your device.
- Never place the device in the dishwasher.
DESCALING THE WATER TANK
- Fill the unit with 1 gallon of clean water.
- Add 1 cup vinegar.
- Set the unit to 100 F and power on for 1 hour.
- Empty the unit.
- For any spills, wipe the water tank with a nonabrasive cleaning cloth. Steel wool or other abrasive materials are not advised, as they may damage the nonstick coating.
- Remove all residue from the tank’s exterior.
- Fill the unit with 1 gallon of clean water, without the vinegar, since this is a rinse cycle.
- Set the unit to 100°F and power on for 5 minutes. This will remove the vinegar solution from the water circulation system for proper usage.
DEEP CLEANING THE WATER TANK
- Unplug the unit.
- Remove the 2 screws, located at the top right side of the water tank. This will allow the baffle to be dismantled.
- Remove the baffle.
- Wipe the surface with a 1-part vinegar/3-part water solution, avoiding the use of steel wool or other abrasive materials. Exercise caution so as not to damage internal parts during the process.
- Rinse the tank with clean water.
- Reaffix the baffle with the 2 screws.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The machine is creating unusual noise during use
The noise may be caused by air bubbles trapped in the water circulation
system. To solve this issue, proceed with the following process.
- Unplug the unit.
- Fill the tank with the minimum water level marker.
- Carefully lift the left side of the unit until the water on the right side of the tank reaches the ‘maximum’ level marker. While the left side is lifted, gently tap the right side of the unit to jostle the air bubbles out of the water circulation system. It may be required to tap several times to guarantee that all air bubbles are removed.
The machine won’t start
- Be sure the unit is plugged in and the outlet is working.
- Be sure to press the START/STOP button successfully. If the unit fails to start, reposition your finger and press again.
Machine beeps during the cooking process:
If the water in the bath is lower than the MIN level before or during the
cooking process, the machine will beep and the LCD will show error code E04.
In this case, check to be sure that there is sufficient water in the machine.
The temperature is not regulating
- Make sure that there is sufficient water within the unit, reaching at least the MIN.
- Make sure the cooking pouches are not lying on the bottom, occluding all or most of the holes in the perforated bottom grill, or impeding circulation around the perimeter of the bath.
The LCD turned off and won’t turn back on:
- Check if there is any water in the unit. If the unit was accidentally turned on with no water in it, then unplug the unit from the wall and let it cool. Once cool, proceed to normal use.
- Make sure the power cord connections are fully engaged.
