Setting Up Your iPhone

Compatibility
SmartTag is only compatible with iPhone running iOS 14.5 or later version, with two factor authentication turned on.

1. Turn on two-factor authentication:
Go to Settings > your name > Sign in & security> turn on two factor authentication , then tap continue and follow the instructions. (For most, your two-factor authentication is already turned on, so just skip this step)

2. Turn on Apple Findmy
Go to settings> your name> findmy > find my iphone (trun on)

3. Turn on Bluetooth

4. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network

5. Turn on location services
Go to settings> privacy & security > location service (trun on)

Getting Started

  function button

Power On:
Press the function button once, it should beep once, it means the tag is powered on.

Power Off:
Press the function button for three seconds, when you hear two beeps, it means your tag is powered off.

Factory Reset:
Press the function button on the SmartTag 4 times rapidly and long press it on the 5th press until you hear a ring, meaning the tag has been factory reset.

Pairing

Before pairing, make sure your iPhone is set up.

1. Remove the insulating paper from the tag, when you hear the dili-dili sound, meaning the tag is ready to be paired. (If you don’t hear the sound, click the function button)
2. Open the Find My app.
3. Hold the device close to your iPhone, iPad, tap the Items tab, tap + and then click Add Other Item.
For iOS 14.5-16, please tap Add item-Other supported item
4. After a pop-up appears, tap Connect.

5. Type a name for your device, select an emoji.
6. Tap Agree to acknowledge that this item will be linked to your Apple ID.
7. Tap Finish.

Locating Your Smart Tag

1. Locate your Tag:
Open Findmy app, tap the items tab, then tap your item, you can see the exact location of your tag, also you can tap directions to get directions in the map.
Or you can ask Siri by saying “Hey Siri, where are “my keys”, if you name the item as “my key”.

2. Play the sound:
Make sure the tag is within the Bluetooth range and your iPhone Bluetooth is turned on. Open Findmy app, tap the items tab, then tap your item, tap play a sound.

3. Set up Left Behind Mode:
When your tag is out of your bluetooth range, after a few minutes, your iPhone will receive a notification that the item is left behind.
Open Findmy app, tap the items tab, then tap your item, under notifications , tap notify when left behind and turn on.

4. Mark your tag as lost
Before set lost mode, make sure Left Behind mode is turned on. Open Findmy app, tap the items tab, then tap your item, set lost mode, tap enable. Then tap continue , enter your phone number/email address so that the finder of your tag can contact you, then tap activate.
Warning: Enabling Lost Mode or playing sound frequently will reduce the battery life.

Removing Tag from iPhone

Removing tag from your iPhone will allow the tag to be paired with another iPhone.
Open Findmy app, tap the items tab, then tap your item, under Remove item, tap and confirm to remove.

Unwanted Tracking Notification

If the tag is travelling with people and separated from it’s owner, the tag will beep to remind the people that they might be tracked, and there iPhone (if they are using iPhone and iOS 14.5 above) will get a notification that someone is trying to track them.

Warning: Using the Tags to track people and pets is not allowed.

How To Replace The Battery

1. Use the tool open the cover

It is strictly prohibited to touch both the positive and negative terminals of the battery at the same time, as it may cause a short circuit and serious loss of power.
