To maintain good function of the range hood, the vertical distance between the bottom of the range hood and the surface of the gas stove must be maintained at 131/2-17 3/4 inches.
-
Ensure that the duct outlet is unblocked to maintain proper air circulation.
-
For more detailed information, please refer to the specification label on the range hood.
-
NOTE: In order to reduce the risk of fire and properly discharge oil fumes, please ensure that oil fumes are discharged outside the house, and do not discharge oil fumes to narrow walls or ceilings, such as: loft, garages…
-
NOTE: This appliance is only used for general air circulation, and it is forbidden to discharge dangerous, explosive gas or vapor.
-
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use other electrical switches (solid state relay switches) for this fan.
-
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please observe the following points:
(a) Please use the range hood according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If in doubt please contact the manufacturer.
(b) Turn off the power before repairing or cleaning the range hood.
(c) Installation and wiring work must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with appropriate safety regulations, including fire-related instructions.
(d) In order to completely burn the combustion system and discharge the exhaust gas through the exhaust pipe to avoid the backflow of the exhaust gas, sufficient air is necessary. Please follow the combustion system manufacturer’s manual and safety specifications, such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) , American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and local government regulations.
(e) When drilling holes in the wall or ceiling, do not injure electrical wires and other hidden facilities.
(f) The fan of the exhaust duct must be connected to the outdoors. -
WARNING: To reduce the risk of range hood fire, please observe the following points:
(a) Clean the exhaust fan frequently, and should not allow oil stains to accumulate on the fan or filter.
(b) Be sure to turn on the range hood when cooking at high temperature.
(c) When the range hood is running at high speed, the food on the stove should not be out of sight. Overcooked food may easily cause soot or the hot oil may spill out of the pan, which may easily cause the range hood in use to catch fire and spread the fire. Slowly heat up the oil temperature when the range hood is running at low speed.
(d) When cooking, always pay attention to whether the range hood is abnormal.
(e) Use appropriate size cooking pots. -
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please observe the following points:
(a) Use tight lids, sheets or trays to smother the flame, then turn off the fire, taking care to avoid burns. If the flames do not go out immediately, move away from the fire and call the fire brigade.
(b) Never pick up a pot that is on fire – you could be injured.
(c) Do not attempt to extinguish the flame with water, including wet napkins or towels, as this will also cause violent vapors.
(d) Use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, if the situation is as follows:
1. Identify a fire extinguisher with series ABC and you know how to operate it.
2. The fireworks are small and still burning within the original ignition point.
3. The fire brigade has been called.
4. Make sure that there is sufficient capacity to extinguish the fire and that there is a safe escape exit behind. -
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, it is recommended to use a metal piping system.
-
When installing the range hood body, the distance between the top of the range hood and the stove surface should not be less than 29 inches.
PREPARATION BEFORE INSTALLATION
-
It is not difficult to install a range hood. If the air ducts and complete tools are already equipped at home, it would generally be completed within 2 hours.
-
The air outlet in this range hood is round, so it can be connected to a round air duct. If you do not have an air duct, we recommend you to ask an expert to install one for you. If you have an existing air duct and an existing range hood, please check your air outlet specifications first.
● Appearance and Related Dimensions● The diameter of the air outlet of the range hood is 7 inches. Please measure the diameter of your air duct. If it is not 7 inches, you need to buy an adapter (the adapter can be purchased at Home Depot or DIY hardware retail stores, or visit Sakura authorized base for purchase consultation).
Please NOTE: If the diameter of the air duct is less than 7 inches, it will affect the ventilation.
● The method of measuring the diameter of the air duct is as follows. Use a rope to surround the air duct and measure the circumference of the air duct:
If the circumference is 48 cm, the diameter of the air duct is 6 inches.
If the circumference is 56 cm, the diameter of the air duct is 7 inches.
If the circumference is 64 cm, the diameter of the air duct is 8 inches.
● Hood is optional, please contact Sakura Sales and Service Center. -

INSTALLATION PRINCIPLES
-
Near the installation location of the range hood, avoid excessive air convection caused by too many doors and windows, otherwise it will not be able to exert its smoke exhaust effect. (Picture 1)
-
The range hood needs to be installed directly above the stovetop. (Picture 2)
-
The vertical clearance range between the bottom of the hood and the surface of the cooker must be maintained at 131/2-17 3/4 inches; the top of the range hood must not be less than 29 inches from the cooktop. (Picture 2)
-
After installation, the range hood body should not be tilted and should be kept horizontal, otherwise the oil accumulated in the oil collecting pan (or oil collecting cup) will tend to one side and overflow the body. (Picture 3)
-
Air duct installation position (Picture 4) ● WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, metal piping is recommended.
● The straight and short air duct flow channel system has better performance for the range hood.
● A duct system that is too long or bended will reduce the efficiency of the range hood. When the duct runner is long, it is recommended to use a larger duct to achieve better smoke extraction performance.
● When installing the air duct, please seal the interface with heat- resistant tape to avoid air leakage. -
Electrical installation:
● The power supply must use the rated voltage (120V-60Hz).
● The power cord of this range hood is a 3P plug with grounding function, please use the grounding socket of the same specification when installing. And confirm that the range hood body does achieve the grounding function.
