DEWALT Upgraded Cordless Heat Gun
Cordless heat gun safety warnings
- Improper use of the heat gun can pose a risk of fire.
- Do not use this tool as a hair dryer.
- Never leave the heat gun unattended while it is in operation.
- Do not use the heat gun in humid, flammable, or explosive environments.
- Before use, check the work area for safety. Do not use the tool if safety cannot be confirmed.
- Ensure sufficient air ventilation in the work area. Working with certain materials may generate poisonous smoke.
- Do not touch the nozzle or any attachments to the nozzle while the heat gun is running or immediately after it has been turned off, as they may become very hot. Wait until they have completely cooled down before touching them.
- Do not look down into the nozzle of the heat gun while it is in operation.
- Do not allow the hot nozzle of the heat gun to come into contact with any flammable, easily melted, or damaged objects or materials while the heat gun is running or shortly after it has been turned off.
- Allow the nozzle to cool sufficiently before installing or removing it.
- After use, allow the tool to stand on its own or place the heating nozzle upward before cooling.
- Always turn off the heat gun, disconnect the power source, and let it cool down completely before moving or storing it. Doing otherwise could cause the heat gun to become extremely hot and damaged.
- Never obstruct the air inlet of the heat gun.
- Do not allow any objects to drop into the nozzle of the heat gun, as it may cause a short circuit or overheating.
- Never point the heat gun at any persons or flammable objects.
- Move the heat gun slowly while heating, up, down, left, and right. Do not apply heat to the same place for an extended period of time.
- Remove any paint from the nozzle, as it could ignite.
- When using the tool while it stands on its own, ensure that it is in a stable position.
- When using the tool with accessories, ensure that the accessories are firmly attached to the tool.
- Do not use the tool as a blower.
- The battery is partially charged when delivered. Fully charge the battery before using the tool for the first time. Remove the battery pack from the tool for charging.
- The battery can be charged at any time without shortening its lifetime. Any interruption during charging will not damage the battery.

ASSEMBLY
Attaching and detaching accessories
The heat gun can be used with or without accessories, depending on the
specific heating needs.
Attaching the accessory
- Select the appropriate nozzle based on the specific heating application.
- Securely attach the nozzle by pushing its fitting end onto the heating nozzle.
MOUNTING THE CORRECT ACCESSORY IF APPLICABLE
WARNING : Before attaching accessories, ensure that the power tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed. Attaching accessories with the switch on or the battery cartridge attached can increase the risk of accidents. Additionally, make sure to securely attach the accessories to prevent them from falling off accidentally, which could cause burns or other injuries.
OPERATION
Switching On and Off
Switching On
- Pull the lock-off lever(1) downwards and pull in the switch trigger(2) to switch on tool .
- Press in the lock-on button(3) on the right with your thumb to keep the tool running.
Switching Off
- Release the switch tripper(2) to stop
- To unlock the tool from the locked position, pull the switch trigger fully. To stop the tool, simply release the switch trigger.
Temperature setting
You can adjust the temperature by switching the L/H switch to the desired position.
Applications Low Temperature (L)
- Drying paint and varnish.
- Removing stickers.
- Waxing and de-waxing.
- Drying wet wood.
- Shrinking PC wrapping and insulation tubes
- Thawing frozen pipes.
Applications High Temperature (H)
- Welding plastics.
- Bending plastic pipes and sheets.
- Unscrew rusted or tight nuts and bolts.
- Removing paint.
- Welded pipes and fittings.
- Remove linoleum or vinyl floor tiles.
Using the tool with it stands on its own
You can use this tool in an upright position or with the heat nozzle facing
up, as shown in the figure. If using the tool in a standing position, turn on
the switch and then press the lock-on button to keep the tool running
.
- WARNING : Only use the tool in the postures shown. Before putting the tool down in any other position, be sure to turn off the switch.
- CAUTION : When using the tool in a standing position, ensure it is on a stable surface. Using the tool on an unstable surface or on a slope can cause the tool to fall and result in injury.
- Cooling Down : The heating nozzle and accessories become very hot during use. Allow them to cool down before attempting to move or store the tool.
MAINTENANCE
- CAUTION : Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before performing anyinspection or maintenance.
- NOTICE : Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol, or similar substances as they can cause discoloration, deformation, or cracks.
Cleaning
- Keep the ventilation openings and switch trigger free of foreign materials.
- Periodically clean the tool with a soft cloth, preferably after each use.
