HOW TO FILL THE BOILER
- Before starting to iron/clean, be sure of the presence of the water in the boiler. In case you need to fill the boiler, make sure the appliance is unplugged and add water when the boiler has cooled down. When the boiler is cold, remove the safety cap 3 with caution and with the aid of a funnel, add tap water. Do NOT completely fill the boiler, since drops of water could come out from the iron together with the steam (fill max. 80% of boiler volume). Fill the boiler according to the workload (1 litre of water enable you to iron for about 1 hour). For small workloads, it is advisable to add less warm tap water: the boiler will be ready in less time with a corresponding saving of electric energy.
- It is not necessary to use demineralized water. Be careful not to let out the water from the entrance and close the cap without tightening strongly (tightening with only “three fingers”).
SETTING UP AND USE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR IRONING SYSTEMS WITH IRON/BRUSH
- Plug the power cable to the power socket.
- Turn on general/iron-brush switch 4 and boiler switch 5. For ironing without steam turn on only switch 4 (in model GV06 there are n. 2 boiler switches). Set the tem-perature knob 11 of the iron/brush on the desired temperature. The temperature regulation is approximate. Test the temperature on a hidden part of the garment to be ironed. The adjustment for the steam iron/brush is indicated by the symbol “..” or higher.
- With high temperatures you run the risk of burning the garment or obtaining an undesired shine effect. The use of anti-shine Teflon shoe will eliminate this. Before starting to iron, wait until the steam ready indicator 7 lights up and/or the pressure gauge 6 reaches 2/3 atmospheres. During ironing, the steam ready indicator will go on and off, depending on the pressure inside the boiler. To get the steam press the red switch 9 on the handle of the steam iron/brush. The first time point the steam jet away from the garment, in a safe direction and press more times the red switch to eliminate any condensate from the iron. Act on the knob 10 to adjust the steam jet (clockwise to increase the jet). When finished ironing, turn off all switches. It is not necessary to empty the residual water from the boiler. When the end water indicator 12 turns on (only in the models GV02 and GV05), the water in the boiler is over. Press the steam switch 9 to release the pressure inside the boiler. Turn off all switches. Open with caution the safety cap to release all residual pressure. Wait 5 minutes for the boiler to be cold and fill it following the instruction, if you want to iron again (ADVICE: with warm water the boiler will be under pressure in less time).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR STEAM GENERATORS WITH CLEANING ACCESSOIRES
- Insert the Power plug C of the steam handle 16a into the outlet 13. Depending on the surface to be treated, insert the correct accessory in the steam connector. Insert the power plug into an electrical socket. Activate the main switch 4 and the boiler switch 5.
- Wait until the steam ready light 7 is on and/or the pressure gauge 6 reach 4.5 bar. Adjust the steam flow using the knob 10. To dispense steam, press the steam han-dle button 9 on the steam handle 16a. The steam allows to clean and sanitize surfaces and objects; the supplied accessories as specified in the legend allow multiple applications. In case of delicate surfaces, we recommend the use of a microfibre cloth (such as AR064 PM on page 4) to be applied to the accessory code 16f or 16h (see page 2). Using the microfibre cloth also allows you to quick-ly absorb the dirt dissolved in the steam. At the end of the work, turn off all the switches and disconnect the power cord from the electrical socket.
DO NOT UNSCREW THE CAP WHEN THE BOILER
IS UNDER PRESSURE / IN USE.
DO NOT LEAVE THE APPLIANCE UNATTENDED,
EVEN IN THE EVENT OF A TEMPORARY ABSENCE.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING OF THE BOILER
- Before emptying the water from the boiler, unplug the machine from the power supply and unscrew the safety cap 3 half a turn to release the pressure and heat inside the boiler. When the boiler is cold, it is possible to over-turn with caution allowing the water outlet (see Figures). In models GV03, GV06 and AV03 there is a draining fau-cet in the lower part for emptying the boiler (turn the the draining faucet of 90° anticlockwise).
- To clean the boiler, pour a glass of white vinegar with a glass of water in the boiler. Wait 2/3 minutes. Empty the solution. Pour in the boiler 1 litre of tap water to remove the smell of vinegar. Empty again. The cleaning operation must be done according to the use of the machine but at least 1 time per month (or every 30 hours of use).
O-RING LUBRICATION
All steam generators with steam plug and socket have O-rings. In order to be
able to easily insert the plug into the socket and not risk breaking the
O-rings with steam coming out of the plug, the O-rings must be lubricated at
least once per month or depending on usage.
ALL REPAIR AND / OR REPLACEMENT OPERATIONS MUST BE DONE BY AN UTHORIZED
