  • This user manual has all the feature operations and troubleshooting necessary to install and operate your Nannio Baby monitor. Please review this manual thoroughly to ensure proper installation and operation of this product.
  • Please keep your purchase order number carefully as this number will be needed when you ask for warranty.
  • Before you use the products, please read the safety instructions.

Safety instructions

When using your equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

  1. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the products. Adult setup is required.
  2. Water and moisture: This product is designed for indoor use only. The unit should not be exposed to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects filled with liquid should be placed on top of, or beside the product, such as a glass or vase. This item should not be used near water.
  3. Keep away from sources of heat: This unit should not be exposed to direct heat sources such as a candle, replacement, radiator, heat register, stove or other appliance that emits heat. The unit should not be le in direct sunlight.
  4. DO NOT: Use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged. If the product is not operating properly or has suffered any damage, please contact the service center with your order number to ask for help in order to avoid any possible risk.
  5. DO NOT: Attempt to repair or adjust any of the electrical or mechanical functions of the unit since, if you do, the warranty will be made void.

WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD. Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 3.5 feet (1 meter) away). Do not remove the tag.

Power on the baby monitor

  • Baby unit Connect the power adapter with the baby unit.
  • Parent unit Connect the power adaptor with the parent unit.

Note: The parent unit is built-in a rechargeable Li-ion battery.

There are 3 battery status indicators:

  • Green light: The battery is fully charged
  • Orange light: The appliance is charging
  • Red light: The battery is almost empty and the parent unit beeps.

Connect parent unit and baby unit

  • Push the on/off switch on the baby unit to the ON position.
    Note: When the baby unit is turned on, the power indicator always lights up in greennannio-Hero2-Video-Baby-Monitor-fig- \(11\)

  • Press the on/off button on the parent unit to turn on the unit.

Automatic connection

  • When the parent unit is turned on, it starts to search for the baby unit.
  • When the parent unit and baby unit are connected, the connection light on the parent unit becomes green.nannio-Hero2-Video-Baby-Monitor-fig- \(15\)
  • When the baby unit is turned off, the parent unit will show an “out-of-range image”. If you want both products to work properly, please make sure that the baby unit is turned on.

Note: If no connection has been established, the connection light turns red, the parent unit beeps three short beeps every 20 seconds and the out-of- range image appears on the monitor.

Placement of baby monitor

  • 2.5m/8.2ft Place the parent unit within the operating range of the baby unit. Make sure it is at least 2.5 meters/8.2 feet away from the baby unit to avoid acoustic feedback.
  • 1-1.5m/3-3.5ft Make sure that the distance between the baby unit and the baby is more than 1-1.5 meters/3-3.5 feet, because of potential strangulation hazards.

There are two ways to position the baby unit:

  1. Mount the baby unit to the wall with screws. Use the provided template to mark the exact location of the screw holes on the wall.
  2. Place the baby unit on a stable, level, and horizontal surface.
    • Tip 1: Adjust the baby unit in a way that ensures the best view of the baby.
    • Tip 2: Put the baby unit in a higher position to get a good overview of the crib or playpen.

Operating range

  • The operating range is up to 50 meters/165 feet indoors and 300 meters /985 feet outdoors.
  • The operating range of the baby monitor varies depending on the surroundings and the factors causing interference.

Features and settings

Volume

  • You can adjust the speaker volume of the parent unit to the level you like.

  • The volume icon appears on the display to show the selected volume.

Note: When the volume is at its minimum, the volume is muted. The parent unit shows a mute icon on the status bar.

Brightness

You can adjust the brightness of the parent unit to the level you like.

  • Press the left and right part of the control button to adjust the brightness of the screen of the parent unit.
  • You can see the brightness level on the parent unit.

Operation modes

Video•Audio•VOX With the baby monitor turned on, you can choose 3 different modes by pressing the mode button on the side of the parent unit.

Video Mode

  1. Press the mode button on the side of the parent unit to select the VIDEO mode.
  2. After enabling the video mode, the screen is always on, so you can see your baby always and all sounds are directly transmitted to the parent unit.

Audio Mode

  1. Press the mode button on the side of the parent unit to select the AUDIO mode.
  2. When the AUDIO mode is activated, the display of the parent unit becomes black. After 3 seconds, the display will turn off completely and the status bar will disappear.
  3. If your baby is crying, the display is still in black, but you can hear the crying of your baby.

VOX Mode

  1. Press the mode button on the side of the parent unit to select VOX mode.
  2. When the VOX mode is activated, the display and sound of the parent unit are turned off. And the VOX light becomes green
  3. When sound is picked up by the baby unit, the display and sound of the parent unit are turned on immediately.
  4. If no sound is detected for 20 seconds, the display and sound turn off again.

Soothing lullaby

  1. You can activate the lullaby feature from the parent unit or baby unit.

Lullaby

Lullaby selection

  1. Press the lullaby button on the parent unit to open the menu for lullabies.

  2. Press the right part of the control button to enter the list of lullabies.

  3. Press the top or bottom part of the control button to scroll through the list of lullabies.

  4. Press the right part of the control button to play a specific lullaby.

  5. The status bar of the parent unit shows the number of lullabies that are being played and repeated.
    Tip: To repeat all songs that are available, select the last option in the list.

  6. To select another lullaby, scroll up or down with the control button to select another song from the list.

  7. To stop the lullaby, press the lullaby button on the parent unit and pause the song that is currently playing by pressing the right part of the control button one more time.

Lullaby volume

  1. Press the lullaby button on the parent unit to open the menu for lullabies. Press the left part of the control button and then press the bottom of the control button to select the volume options of the lullaby menu. Press the right part of the control button to access the lullaby volume levels.
  2. Press the top or bottom part of the control button to adjust the volume.
  3. To stop the lullaby, press the lullaby button on the parent unit and pause the song that is currently playing by pressing the right part of the control button one more time.
  • To activate the lullaby feature from the baby unit, press the lullaby on/off button on the baby unit.
  • The latest lullaby selected on the parent unit starts to play on the baby unit and is repeated continuously for approximately 15 minutes.

Two-way-talk

Two-way-talk You can use the talk-back sign button on the parent unit to talk to your baby.

  1. Press and hold the “ talk-back ” button
  2. Speak clearly within a distance of 15-30 cm/0.5-1 ft.
  3. While talking, you can see the “ talk-back ” on the monitor

Note: When the “ talk-back ” button is pressed, the parent unit cannot process sounds coming from the baby unit.

Voice activation (sensitivity)

Voice Activation The sensitivity level of the baby unit defines what you hear through the parent unit. When the level is set high, you will hear many sounds, including soft background sounds. When the sensitivity level is set low, you will hear only the louder sounds.

  • Press the sensitivity button to access the sensitivity levels.

Note: When pressing the sensitivity button again, you will leave the menu.

  • Press the top or bottom part of the control button to select the desired sensitivity level. If your baby only makes soft sounds, the sensitivity of the baby unit needs to be set to a high sensitivity level on the parent unit.

Note: The louder your baby sounds, the lower the sensitivity can be set on the parent unit.

Note: In AUDIO and VIDEO mode, you will have continuous sound when the sensitivity level is ‘very high’. Otherwise, low sounds will be muted.
