NYQUIST SMS1810-VF Speaker
Product Information
The NQ-SMS1810-VF Speaker is a versatile speaker that can be used for upward- firing, downward-firing, or side-firing operation. It comes with hangers and a hanging chain for easy installation. The speaker has been tested to UL Standard 2043.
Preparation:
- Upward-firing Operation: Use the speaker as shipped.
- Downward-firing Operation: Relocate the hangers to the bottom of the assembly.
- Side-firing Operation: Relocate one hanger to the bottom of the assembly.
Installation:
- Determine a structurally sound hang point for the speaker enclosure.
- Install the speaker to the desired height using the hanging chain.
Note: AHJ/local codes may require a secondary tie-off to the structure.
Electrical Connection:
- Feed the supply cable through the whip (if required) to the connector.
- Cut off the bare wire tip of any unused speaker lead.
- Feed the connection points through the clamp into the enclosure and tighten the clamp screws.
- Rotate the switch to the desired power setting.

Electrical connection
- Feed the supply cable through whip (if required) to connector.
- Select speaker leads for desired system type: 70V – Red, 25V – Yellow, and COM – Black. Interconnect the speakers in the system, making sure that all leads of the same color are connected. Avoid swapping colors.
- Cut bare wire tip off of unused speaker lead. Feed connection points through the clamp into the enclosure and tighten the clamp screws.
- Rotate the switch to the desired power setting.
Product has been tested to UL Standard 2043.
