Danfoss AK-PS 250 Power Supply

Danfoss-AK-PS-250-Power-Supply-PRO

Product Information

This power supply unit is designed to convert electrical energy from the power grid. It electrically isolates the AC input voltage from the DC output voltage, with the DC output voltage classified as a safety extra-low voltage.

Specifications

  • Product: Power Supply Type AK-PS 250
  • Model: 080R9355
  • Manufacturer: Danfoss

Product Usage Instructions

Safety Notes and Warning Instructions
Prior to startup, read the installation notes and check the device for any damage.

Designation of the Elements
Refer to Fig. 1 for element designations:

  • A. Potentiometer for output voltage adjustment
  • B. Mounting flange for wall mounting
  • C. Connection terminal block for output voltage (Output DC +)
  • D. Signaling DC OK LED (green)
  • E. Integrated snap-on foot for DIN rail mounting

Signalization
The DC OK LED is used for function monitoring. It lights up continuously when the output voltage reaches over 90% of the nominal output voltage UOUT (24 V DC).

Mounting/Removing the Power Supply
The power supply can be installed on 35 mm DIN rails according to EN 60715. Follow these steps:

  • Mounting: Install the power supply horizontally with the input terminals facing downward.
  • Removing: Follow the steps outlined in Fig. 4/5 to remove the power supply.

FAQ

  • What is the input voltage range for the power supply?
The input voltage range is specified as [input voltage range here].

  • How do I know if the power supply is functioning correctly?
The DC OK LED will light up continuously when the output voltage reaches over 90% of the nominal output voltage UOUT (24 V DC).

Use this power supply to convert the electrical energy fed in by the power grid. Hereby, the AC input voltage is electrically isolated from the DC output voltage. The DC output voltage is a safety extra-low voltage.

Safety notes and warning instructions:

Prior to startup, read the installations notes and check the device for damage.
WARNING: Danger to life by electric shock!

  • Only skilled persons may install, start-up, and operate the device.
  • Never carry out work when voltage is present.

Note:

  • Observe the national safety and accident prevention regulations.
  • The power supply is a built-in device and is designed for mounting in a control cabinet.
  • A suitable electrical and fire enclosure shall be provided in the end equipment.
  • Ensure that the primary-side wiring and secondary-side wiring are the correct size and have sufficient fuse protection.
  • Use copper cables for operating temperatures of
    • 75 °C (ambient temperature < 55 °C)

    • 90 °C (ambient temperature < 75 °C).

  • The power supply is approved for the connection to TN, TT and IT power grids (star networks) with a maximum phase-to-phase voltage of 240 V AC.
  • The power supply is maintenance-free. Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer. The warranty no longer applies if the housing is opened.
  • The power supply may only be used for its intended use.

Designation of the elements

  • A. Potentiometer, output voltage
  • B. Mounting flange for wall mounting (back of device)
  • C. Connection terminal block output voltage: Output DC +/-
  • D. Signaling DC OK LED (green)
  • E. Integrated snap-on foot for DIN rail mounting (back of device)
  • F. Connection terminal block input voltage: Input L/N

Signaling (see fig. 1/3)
The DC OK LED is available for function monitoring. The LED lights up continuously when the output voltage reaches >90% of the nominal output voltage UOUT (24 V DC).

Mounting/removing the power supply

The power supply can be installed onto all 35 mm DIN
rails according to EN 60715. Normal mounting position is horizontal (with the input terminals facing downward). The minimum gap to other devices is 30 mm above/below.

  1. Mounting the power supply unit (see fig. 4/5) To mount the power supply, proceed as described in the figure.
  2. Removing the power supply unit (see fig. 4/5) To remove the power supply, proceed as described in the figure.
