INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. ASSISTANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

  2. Starting on the Passenger/Right side of the vehicle, open the doors to remove the screws attaching the plastic trim to the vehicle. Remove the plugs from the plastic trim. Gently pull the plastic trim away from the vehicle, (Figure 1).

  3. Move to the front location under the Passenger/Right front door, (Figure 2). Select (2) 10mm Bolt Plates. Insert the Bolt Plates into the holes, (Figure 3).

  4. Select the Passenger/Right Front Mounting Bracket. Attach the Bracket to the (2) 10mm Bolt Plates with (2) 10mm Flat Washers, (2) 10mm Lock Washers, and (2) 10mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 4). Do not tighten the hardware.

  5. Select (1) Compression Plate.

    • Thread (1) 10mm Hex Nut to (1) 10mm x 60mm Hex Bolt.
    • Slide (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Flat washer onto the 10mm Hex Bolt.
    • Thread the 10mm Hex Bolt assembly into the welded nut on the back of the Mounting Bracket. Place the Compression Plate onto the end of the 10mm Hex Bolt, (Figures 5A & 5B).
    • Tighten Hex Bolt to place the Compression Plate onto the floor panel. Do not tighten Hex Bolt all the way. NOTE: Use the 10mm Hex Nut to adjust the level of the Mounting Bracket.

  6. Move to the rear location. Remove the plastic plugs, (Figure 6). Select (1) 10mm Bolt Plate. Insert the Bolt Plate into the outer hole on the floor panel, (Figure 7).

  7. Select (1) 10mm Block Bolt. Insert the Block Bolt into the inner hole on the floor panel and rotate to sit on the edges of the hole, (Figure 8).

  8. Select the Passenger/Right Rear Mounting Bracket. Attach the Mounting Bracket to the 10mm Block Bolt with (1) 10mm Flat Washer, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figure 9). Do not tighten hardware.

  9. Select the Passenger/Right Rear Support Bracket. Attach the Support Bracket to the 10mm Bolt Plate with (1) 10mm Flat Washer, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figure 10). Attach the Support Bracket to the Mounting Bracket with (1) 8mm Hex Bolt, (2) 8mm Flat Washers, (1) 8mm Lock Washer and (1) 8mm Hex Nut, (Figures 11 & 12). Do not tighten the hardware.

  10. Select the Passenger/Right Sidebar. Carefully place the Sidebar onto the Mounting Brackets.
    IMPORTANT: Do not slide or rotate the Sidebar on cradles, or damage to the finish may result. Attach the Sidebar to the Mounting Brackets with (4) 8mm Combo Bolts, (Figure 13). Do not tighten the hardware.

  11. Level and adjust the Sidebar and tighten all hardware.

  12. Repeat Steps 1—11 to attach the Driver/Left Sidebar.

  13. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

To protect your investment, Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. Use only mild soap to clean the Sidebar.

Installation Steps

  1. Start with the front location. Remove plastic trim and insert necessary Bolt Plates into the holes in the floor panel.
  2. Attach the Front Mounting Brackets using appropriate hardware but do not tighten them completely.

  4. Move to the rear location, remove plastic plugs, and insert Bolt Plates and Block Bolts as instructed.
  5. Attach Rear Mounting Bracket and Rear Support Bracket using washers, lock washers, and nuts. Do not fully tighten.
  6. Carefully place the Sidebar onto the Mounting Brackets ensuring no sliding or rotating. Attach using Combo Bolts but do not tighten.
  7. Adjust the Sidebar position, tighten all hardware, and repeat the process for the opposite side.
  8. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight.

To clean the Sidebar, use only mild soap. Avoid using abrasive polishes or waxes that may damage the finish.
