FCC/IC RF Radiation Exposure and SAR Statements
The device has been tested for body-worn Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) compliance. The FCC/IC has established detailed SAR requirements and has established these requirements. RF Exposure Information The radio module has been evaluated under FCC Bulletin C95.1 and IEEE 1528 and found to be compliant to RF Exposure from radio frequency devices. This model meets the applicable government requirements for exposure to radio frequency waves. The highest reported SAR level for usage near the body (0mm) is 0.784 W/kg.

Precautions

Danger

1. Please charge the battery with the method described in this Guide and follow the charging procedure and precautions. Improper battery charging will cause heating, damage, and even physical injury;
2. Do not try to open or disassemble the battery at any time. In the event the battery leaks and the spill enters the human eye, wash the eyes with clean water immediately and take medical care.

Warning

1. When using the device, please try to keep it stable and avoid violent shaking;
2. Do not use or store the device in an environment that exceeds the allowable operating temperature or storage temperature of the device;
3. Do not directly aim the device at high-intensity thermal radiation sources, such as the sun, lasers, spot welding machines, etc.;
4. Do not block the holes on the device;
5. Do not knock, throw or vibrate instruments and accessories to avoid damage;
6. Do not disassemble the machine by yourself, which may cause device damage and loss of warranty rights;
7. Do not use soluble or similar liquids on device and cables, which may cause damage to the device;
8. Please do not use the device in an environment that exceeds the operating temperature of the device, which may cause damage to the device;
9. Please observe the following requirements when wiping this device:
   • Non optical surface: use a clean soft cloth to wipe the nonoptical surface of the thermographic camera when necessary;
   • Optical surface: when using the thermographic camera, please avoid polluting the optical surface of the lens, especially avoiding touching the lens with your hands, because the sweat on your hands will leave traces on the lens glass and may corrode the optical coating on the glass surface. When the surface of the optical lens is polluted, use special lens paper to wipe it carefully;
10. Do not place the battery in a high temperature or near a high-temperature object;
11. Do not short-circuit the positive and negative poles of the battery;
12. Do not expose the battery to moisture or water.

Caution

1. Do not expose the device to dust or moisture. Avoid water splashing to the device when using it in an environment with water. Cover the lens when not using the camera;
2. Please put the device and all accessories in the special packaging box when not using it;
3. Avoid using SD cards for other purposes;
4. Using the eyepiece for a long time will reduce the contrast of the eyepiece, and the picture will turn white. You can switch to LCD, and then to eyepiece display after a while.

Multifunction knob

Power on
Long press the multifunction knob until the boot screen appears in the eyepiece, then the device is turned on successfully.

Power off
Manual power-off: Long-press the multifunction knob for 4 seconds to display the shutdown progress bar until the progress bar is completed and the shutdown is successful.

Display off
Long press the multifunction knob for 4 seconds to display the shutdown progress bar. Before the progress bar is completed, release the multifunction knob to cancel the shutdown and enter the Display Off mode.

Display on
In Display Off mode, press the multifunction knob to wake up the screen.

• Select Distance : Check the Distance option in Advanced Mode to set the shooting distance.
• Zoom in : Check the Zoom in option in Advanced Mode to set the magnification of 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x for the real-time image.
• Photo taking: Check the Photo Taking option in Advanced Mode to take a photo.
• Recording: Check the Recording option in Advanced Mode to start recording, and check the End Recording option to save the video.
• Compensation: Check the Compensation option in Advanced Mode to perform the compensation operation according to the set compensation method;
• PIP: The device can switch between four states: off, upper left, upper middle and upper right.
• Screen brightness: The device can switch among 10 levels of screen brightness.
• Hotspot tracking: A cursor will appear when it is turned on, and the cursor will track the hottest spot on the entire map.
• Power saving : ARM switches to low-power mode when it is turned on, OLED brightness is fixed at 20% and cannot be adjusted; WIFI cannot be turned on, if the current WIFI is already turned on, WIFI will be turned off.
• Stroke algorithm: After it is turned on, there will be a white stroke of the target outline in the real-time image.
• Configuration: A total of 10 groups of reticle configurations are available, and every reticle configuration group can save the corresponding type of reticle, color of the reticle, and brightness of the reticle.
• Reticle styles : 10 reticle styles are available.
• Reticle color : Reticle can be set to black, white, yellow, green, red, and blue.
• Reticle brightness : The reticle brightness can be adjusted from level 1 to 10.
• Zero calibration settings : Set the “X” or “Y” position of the reticle
• Picture enhancement : Turn it on to adjust the imaging picture quality..
• Scene mode : Three scene modes are available: Natural/Enhanced/Highlighted.
• Pseudo color : It can be adjusted to White hot, Black hot, Red hot, Iron red, Flame and Amber.
• Brightness: The detector brightness can be adjusted from level 1 to 10.
• Contrast : The detector contrast can be adjusted from levels 1 to 10.
• Compensation : Two types of compensation, i.e., scene compensation/shutter compensation, are available.
• Rough ranging : It can measure the approximate distance of rabbit, wild boar, and deer in m.
• WiFi : WIFI switch. When the mobile client and the device are connected, real-time videos can be transmitted to the mobile phone, the device can be operated through the APP.
• The WiFi name is Nighthunter S35-XXXX (XXXX is the last 4 digits of the MAC address) and the WiFi password is 12345678.
• Watermark settings : The Time/Date/Logo/OSD switch can be set. When it is turned on, the real-time image and photos/videos will show the related UI elements.
• Automatic sleep : Automatic sleep time can be set at 5/10/15min. If no operation is made within the set time, it will enter the dormant state.
• Automatic power off : Automatic power off time can be set at 15/30/60min. If no operation is made within the set time, a countdown to power off will appear and it will be turned off after the countdown ends.
• Time format : Selectable between 12H/24H.
• Date format : Selectable from YYYY-MM-DD/MM-DD-YYYYY/DD-MM-YYYYY.
• Time settings : Enter the time adjustment interface to adjust the device time and date.
• Language settings : Languages can be switched among English/German/French/Spanish/Italian.
• Memory card formatting: All files in the device’s memory can be deleted.
• Restore defaults : Restore the device to its defaults. After restoring the defaults, the device will automatically reboot and the language guidance interface will appear.
• Exit: Check the Exit option to return to the previous menu or exit the Setup menu, or to exit Advanced Mode;

Battery status
When the thermographic camera is turned on and the battery capacity changes, the capacity indicator is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen, and the part of the lit power indicator shows the remaining battery capacity. After starting up and entering the real-time screen, the icon corresponding to the power levels below will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.

1. Please replace the battery promptly when the battery is low!

Troubleshooting

1. The device cannot be powered on
   Solution: replace the battery or connect the adapter for power supply

2. The device cannot take photos/videos
   Solution: the internal storage space of the device is full. It is needed to format the memory card or disconnect the device from the computer

3. The display time of the device is inconsistent with the actual time
   Solution: reset the time and date of the device in the menu

4. The screen goes black during use
   Solution: short-press the multifunction knob to wake up sleep and light up the screen

5. The image is blurred
   Solution: turn the lens for manual focusing until the image sharpens

Storage and Transportation

1. The storage environment of packaged products is -30 ℃ ~ 60 ℃, the relative humidity is not more than 95%, without condensation and corrosive gas, and is well-ventilated and clean indoors;
2. Please charge the battery once every 3 months.

Transportation

1. It shall be protected from rain, water, upside down, violent vibration, and impact during transportation, and shall be handled with care. Throwing is not allowed.
