SYMBOLS AND FUNCTIONS
Symbols shown in Figure 2:
- Target mark
- Distance indicator
- Measurement unit
- Feature mode
- Horizontal unit of measurement
- Horizontal distance (HD) or angle
- Battery status
- Active measurement
BATTERY
Inserting and replacing the battery:
The laser range finder is powered by a 3 volt, type CR2 round battery. To
insert and replace the battery, the Battery case D is unscrewed by turning it
counter-clockwise. Insert the battery with its positive terminal going in
first (according to the symbols on the battery case). Then, screw the Battery
case back on again by turning it clockwise.
Battery charge level:
A new battery lasts for more than 2,500 measurements at optimal temperature.
Depending on the conditions of use, the service life of a battery may be
significantly shorter or longer. Low temperatures and frequent use of the
scanning mode reduce the service life of the battery. If a battery symbol is
displayed on the left side of the field of view during the feature modes, it
means that the battery must be changed.
Attention: Cold reduces the battery performance. In the event of low
temperatures, the LRF should therefore be worn as close to the body as
possible and be used with a new battery.
LASER MEASUREMENT
Laser-supported measurements:
These measurements are carried out by an eye-safe, invisible laser impulse.
The LRF can display the distance measured in meters or yards. When measuring,
either “M” for meter or “Y” for yard is shown alongside the round target mark.
You may change the setting by using the select button C : When you press and
hold the button for more than 3 seconds, the distance unit changes.
FEATURE MODES
Standard mode
No additional symbols are displayed and you are not in any special mode. The
distance can be measured or the scan mode can be activated.
Priority of a closer object
When more than one target object is aimed at, the closer of the two is
selected on the display.
Priority of another object
This feature ignores objects, e.g. bushes, stones and branches.
If more than one target object is targeted, the more distant of the two is
shown on the display.
Applicable for distance measurements even under extreme weather conditions.
All displays active
All possible symbols are visible on the display. The brightness of the
displays can be adjusted in 6 different levels by pressing the “ ” button in 6
different levels.
For the unit of horizontal distance or angle, select “M” (meters), ” ° ”
(degrees) or “Y” (yards).
“HD” is displayed; it means that the horizontal distance to the target object
is measured; “ ” is displayed; it means the angle to the target object is
measured.
Figure 3: Battery status
If ” ” is displayed on the left side of the field of view during the feature
modes, it means that the battery must be changed. Active measurement
This is indicated in the middle of the field of view by a additional ” “. When
the distance is being measured “ ” flashes.
FEATURE MODES
- Switch on your LRF by pressing the “arrow key” . You are now automatically in the mode you last used.
- You can navigate through the different modes by pressing the “gearwheel” .
In the event of sunshine and good visibility, the following ranges and
accuracies apply:
± 1.0 m/yds up to 300 m/328 yds,
± 2.0 m/yds up to 600 m/656 yds,
± 0.5 % above 600 m/656 yds
Measurement range and accuracy:
The measurement range of the LRF is between 25 m / 27.3 yds und 1,800 m /
1,968.5 yds. In this respect, the range depends on the weather conditions, the
visibility and reflection characteristics of the target:
Range: | greater | smaller |
---|---|---|
Object colour: | white | black |
Angle to the object: | perpendicular | acute |
Object size: | large | small |
Atmospheric conditions: | clear | misty |
Object structure: | e.g. house wall | e.g. bush, tree |
The display shows „End“ if:
– the distance is less than 25 meters
– the distance is more than 1,800 meters
– the reflection characteristics are insufficient
IMPORTANT INFORMATION LASER BEAM
Do not look directly into it with optical instruments: Laser class 1M
according to DIN EN 60825-1:2015-07 You’ll be in safe hands with 1M class
lasers. They only become dangerous if a magnifying glass, microscope or
binoculars are held in front of your eyes. These lasers are completely safe
when using standard glasses. The process involves an invisible laser beam.
This product is not suitable for children.
Avoid using commercial, magnifying optical instruments, such as magnifying
glasses, telescopes and riflescopes, especially in close contact to others (<
