Installation
Determine Installation Location

A. Place the dispenser upright.

B. Locate the dispenser on a hard and level surface in a cool shaded location near a grounded wall outlet and easily accessible to the cold water line.

This product dispenses water at very high temperatures. Failure to use properly can cause personal injury. When operating this dispenser, always exercise basic safety precautions, including the following:- Before use, this dispenser must be properly assembled and installed by this manual.
- For indoor use only. Keep the water dispenser in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Do NOT use outdoors.
- Install and use only on a hard, flat and level surface.
- Do NOT place the water dispenser in an enclosed space or cabinet.
- Do NOT operate the dispenser in the presence of explosive fumes.
- Use only properly grounded outlets.
- Do not use an extension cord.
- Always grasp the plug and pull it straight out from the outlet. Never unplug by pulling on the power cord.
- Do NOT use the dispenser if the cord becomes frayed or otherwise damaged. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- To protect against electric shock, do NOT immerse the cord, plug, or any other part of the dispenser in water or other liquids.
- Ensure the water dispenser is unplugged before cleaning.
- Never allow children to dispense hot water without proper and direct supervision. Unplug the unit to prevent unsupervised use by children.

Materials Needed
Installation
Determine Installation Location

Place the dispenser upright.

Locate the dispenser on a hard and level surface in a cool shaded location near a grounded wall outlet and easily accessible to the cold water line.
NOTICE: Do NOT plug in the power cord until the entire installation section is completed. -
Position the back of the dispenser no closer than 8 in. (20 cm) from a wall and permit free airflow between the wall and the water dispenser.
Install the Dispenser
WARNING:
To avoid a hazard due to the instability of the appliance, it must be secured
in place by the instructions.
- A. Loosen and remove the screw on the bottom left or right of the dispenser.
- B. Use this screw to attach the grounding bracket (J) on the left or right bottom corner of the water dispenser.
- C. Make a hole on the surface where the water dispenser will be installed.
- D. Attach the grounding bracket (J) on the surface by screwing it tightly.
Flush the Filters
IMPORTANT:
Follow this procedure every time you replace your filters. Ensure the water
supply is off before you begin.
- A. Connect a filter (G) to the filter housing (F) by twisting the filter (G) clockwise.
- B. Connect the tip of the shut-off valve tube (B) to the left side of the filter housing (F).
- C. Connect the filter flushing tube (D) to the right side of the filter housing (F) and lay the open end of the filter flushing tube (D) over a sink or receptacle to collect water.
- D. Follow the instructions in the table below to flush filters.
IMPORTANT: After each filter is flushed, be sure to shut off the water supply before disconnecting the tubes to flush the next filter.

Install the Filters and Tubing
- A. Click the three black mounting brackets (H) onto the top of the condenser.
- B. Attach one filter housing (F) to the top of a mounting bracket (H).
- C. Connect the filter connecting tube (A) to the filter housing (F).
- D. Slide the next filter housing (F) onto the middle mounting bracket (H) and connect the other end of the filter connecting tube (A).
- E. Repeat for the third filter housing.
- F. Connect the shut-off valve with tube (B) to the left filter housing (F).
- G. Connect the filters (G) to the filter housings (F). The sediment filter goes on the left, the pre-carbon filter in the middle, and the carbon block on the right.
- H. Add locking clips (I) to each connection where indicated.
Connect to the Cold Water Supply
CAUTION:
DO NOT CONNECT THIS WATER LINE TO A HOT WATER SUPPLY LINE. The water supply to
the unit MUST be from the COLD WATER LINE. Using HOT WATER will severely
damage your filters.
NOTE:
The plumber’s tape has been included to facilitate installation. Use it on
threaded plumbing connections to ensure a secure seal.

A. Turn off the cold water supply, then disconnect the cold water pipe from the cold water supply line.
-
B. Connect the feedwater adapter (E) to the cold water supply line.
-
C. Connect the cold water pipe to the top of the feedwater adapter (E).
NOTE: An extra adapter nut is included on top of the feedwater adapter (E) to attach to a 3/8 in. or 1/2 in. feed plumbing line. -
D. Cut the shut-off valve with tube (B) where indicated using the tubing cutter (M).
E. Connect the two cut ends of the tubing straight into each end of the pressure-reducing valve (L). Ensure that the arrow will be pointing towards the flow of water into the dispenser when the shut-off valve with tube (B) is connected in the next steps. -
F. Insert the shut-off valve with tube (B) straight into the quick connector piece of the feedwater adapter (E).

G. Gently tug on the tube (B) to ensure a secure connection with the feedwater adapter (E).
Complete the Installation
- A. Connect the blue elbow joint tube (C) to the right filter housing (F) and the water inlet hole on the back of the dispenser.
- B. Place locking clips (I) at the two connecting ends of the elbow joint tube (C).
- C. Turn on the water supply.
Operation
IMPORTANT:
This unit has been tested and sanitized before packing and shipping. During
transit, dust and odours can accumulate in the tank and lines. Dispense and
dispose of at least one quart of water before drinking any water.
Turn the Dispenser On/Off
IMPORTANT:
Before you activate the heating and cooling switches, ensure water has filled
the tanks inside the dispenser to prevent dry heating.
- Plug in the dispenser.
- Press and hold hot and cold water buttons until water begins to dispense.
- To power on the cooling system, flip the cooling switch on the back of the dispenser to the On position. The cold water button on the front of the dispenser illuminates in blue indicating that the dispenser is cooling water. The light changes to white when the cooling process is complete.
- To power on the heating system, flip the heating switch on the back of the dispenser to the On position. The hot water button on the front of the dispenser illuminates in red indicating that the dispenser is heating water. The light changes to white when the heating process is complete.
Set the Time
- Simultaneously press and hold the up and down arrow buttons for 3 seconds or until the displayed time begins to blink.
- To set the hour, press the hot water button. The hour on the clock begins to blink. Use the up and down arrow buttons to scroll to the correct hour. To set the minutes, press the cold water button. The minutes on the clock begin to blink. Use the up and down arrow buttons to scroll to the correct minutes.
- Press the lock button until the selected time stops blinking. The time is now set.
Set the Cold Water Temperature Level
You can select from 3 different cold water dispensing temperature levels: C1
(cold), C2 (colder), and C3 (coldest).

NOTE:
The default temperature dispensing level for cold water is C3 (coldest). To
change the cold water temperature dispensing level, please do the following:
- Press and hold the down arrow button for 3 seconds. The cold water button and time display screen begin to flash.
- Press the up or down button to scroll through the 3 options. They will be displayed as C1, C2, and C3. After you have reached the desired temperature level, quickly press the lock button. The new level is now set. It takes approximately 2 hours for the cold water temperature range to adjust to the new level. During the adjustment process, the cold water light will illuminate in blue. Once the new level has been reached, the light will change to white.
NOTE:
Cold water temperature is measured inside a cold reservoir tank. Due to many
variables, including but not limited to, ambient temperature, water receptacle
size/temperature, internal travel from reservoir tank to dispense point, etc.,
the temperature range of water dispensed will vary from the stated range.
Set the Hot Water Temperature Level
You can select from 3 different hot water dispensing temperature levels: H1
(hot), H2 (hotter), and H3 (hottest).

NOTE:
The default temperature dispensing level for hot water is H3 (hottest). To
change the hot water temperature dispensing level, please do the following:
- Press and hold the up arrow button for 3 seconds. The hot water button and time display screen begin to flash.
- Press the up or down button to scroll through the 3 options. They will be displayed as H1, H2, and H3. After you have reached the desired temperature level, quickly press the lock button. The new level is now set. It takes 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water temperature range to adjust to the new level. During the adjustment process, the hot water light will illuminate in red. Once the new level has been reached, the light will change to white.
NOTE:
Hot water temperature is measured inside a hot reservoir tank. Due to many
variables, including but not limited to, ambient temperature, water receptacle
size/temperature, internal travel from reservoir tank to dispense point, etc.,
the temperature range of water dispensed will vary from the stated range.
Dispense Cold and Room Temperature Water
NOTE:
Water will take approximately 1 hour after plugging in and turning on to
become completely chilled.
- Place a drinking glass or container under the tap and press the cold water button to dispense cold water or the ambient water button to dispense room-temperature water.
- Release the button when your container is full.
Disable the Child Safety Lock and Dispense Hot Water
CAUTION:
This unit dispenses water at temperatures that can cause severe burns. Avoid
direct contact with hot water. Keep children and pets away from the unit while
dispensing. Never allow children to dispense hot water without proper and
direct supervision. Disable the heating feature by switching the heating
switch to the Off position.
NOTE:
Water will take approximately 15-20 minutes after plugging in and turning on
to reach its hottest temperature.
- This water dispenser is equipped with a child safety feature to prevent inadvertent dispensing. To disable the child safety lock feature, press the lock button.
- To dispense hot water, place a drinking glass or container under the tap and press the hot water button. 3. Release the button when your container is full. The hot water button automatically relocks.

The machine is not dispensing water.| • The dispenser has become too cold and the lines are blocked by ice. Turn the cooling switch off for at least 4 hours to allow the water in the lines to thaw.
Cleaning and Maintenance
This dispenser runs on a continuous UV cleaning cycle. It works for 40 minutes (the UV icon on the display is on), turns off for 140 minutes, and then cycles back on again as long as the dispenser is plugged in and on.

Replace the Filters
IMPORTANT:
Only replace the filters with new filters designed for this dispenser. Any
other type of filter will damage the machine and void any warranty.
When the filter indicator light begins to flash, the filters are reaching the end of life. When the filter life indicator steadily illuminates and the dispenser beeps, the filters have expired and must be replaced immediately. To replace, do the following:
- Shut off the water supply.
- Remove the old filters and replace them with new filters. Ensure filters are installed as follows, from left to right: sediment, pre-carbon, and carbon block.
- To flush your new filters, follow the instructions under “Flush the Filters.”
- After replacing the filters, press and hold the filter reset switch (4) on the back of the dispenser for approximately 3 seconds to reset the filter indicator light and turn off the beeping. When the beeping stops, release the switch.

Care and Maintenance
- Keep this dispenser in a dry and cool place and avoid direct sunshine.
- Ensure the back of the dispenser is at least 8 in. (20 cm) away from the wall.
- Never put the dispenser on paper or foam, which may store water and then cause creepage. Never put anything flammable beside this machine.
- Do not use the dispenser outdoors or in a place that can be splashed by water.
- If the dispenser is not in use for longer than 24 hours, turn off the heating and cooling switches to save power, and drain any remaining water.
- If the water supply is cut off, shut off the water supply and turn the dispenser off. When the water supply is back on, re-open the water supply to the dispenser, turn the dispenser on, and allow the dispenser to run to discharge sediment.
Warranty
Brio (“Vendor”) warrants to the original purchaser of the Brio Water Coolers (the “Product”), and no other person, that if the Product is assembled and operated by the printed instructions accompanying it, then for one (1) year from the date of purchase, all parts in the Product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. This Limited Warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of parts, which prove defective under normal use and service and which the Vendor shall determine in its reasonable discretion upon examination to be defective. To take advantage of this Limited Warranty, please follow these steps:
- Please retain your sales slip or invoice, as the Vendor may require reasonable proof of your date of purchase.
- Contact the Vendor’s Customer Service Department using the contact information listed below.
- Return parts to the Vendor, per the Vendor’s instructions, at your cost and expense.
- Upon receipt by Vendor, Vendor shall advise you in writing whether a defect covered by this Limited Warranty exists in any returned part and whether your claim has been approved or denied.
- Upon the Vendor’s approval of your claim, Venthe dor will replace such defective parts without charge to you.
WHAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: This Limited Warranty does not
cover any failures or operating difficulties of the Product due to accident,
abuse, misuse, alteration, misapplication, improper installation or improper
maintenance or service by you or any third party, or failure to perform normal
maintenance on the Product, as set out in the User’s Manual. In addition, this
Limited Warranty does not cover damages to the finish, such as scratches,
dents, discolouration or rust after purchase.
This Limited Warranty is the only express warranty given on the Product and is
instead of all other express warr an ies. The vendorr disclaims all
warranties for products that are purchased from a seller other than authorized
retailers or distributors.
