Physical Connection
Using a standard Cat5/6 ethernet cable, connect Zeus (via CANBUS port) to the Victron GX (via VE.Can port).

Zeus Configuration

1. In the ARCO App, connect to your Zeus and click ‘ViewDevice’.
2. Select ‘Live Details’.
3. Select ‘Settings’.
4. Select the ‘Regulator’ tab.
5. Scroll down until you see ‘Sync Mode’ and click on the text, then select ‘Victron Follower’.
6. With ‘Victron Follower’ mode selected, save your changes. Zeus is now configured!

Victron GX Configuration

1. Under ‘Settings’, select ‘Services’.
2. Select ‘VE.Can port’.
3. For the ‘CAN-bus profile’, select the option for ‘VE.Can & Lynx Ion BMS (250kbit)s’.
4. The Victron GX is now configured!

FAQ

Q: How do I know if my installation requires a Lynx Smart BMS for configuration?
A: If you have a Lynx Smart BMS installed, follow the instructions provided to enable Zeus to follow the charge parameters over the CAN Bus. If not, you can monitor and display Zeus’ information without changing settings.

Zeus configuration

For installations without a Lynx Smart BMS, the GX device can monitor and display Zeus’ information without the need for changing settings. If a Lynx Smart BMS is installed, follow the instructions below to enable Zeus to follow the charge parameters provided by the Lynx over the CAN Bus.

1. In the ARCO App, connect to your Zeus and click ‘View Device.’
2. Select ‘Live Details.’
3. Select ‘Settings.’
4. Select the ‘Regulator’ tab.
5. Scroll down until you see ‘Sync Mode’ and click on the text, then select ‘Victron Follower.
6. With ‘Victron Follower’ mode selected, save your changes.
   

Zeus is now configured!

Victron GX Configuration

1. Under ‘Settings’ select ‘Services.’
2. Select ‘VE.Can port.’
3. For the ‘CAN-bus profile’ select the option for ‘VE.Can & Lynx Ion BMS (250kbit)s.’

The Victron GX is now configured!
