Important Information about our electronic locks

General: Please ensure that the codes and code carriers do not fall into unauthorised hands. Therefore, keep codes and code carriers in a safe place so that they are only accessible to authorised persons. If a code or code carrier is lost, the lock must be changed to a new code / code carrier or replaced.

  • The factory code must be changed as soon as the lock is put into operation.
  • Simple codes that are easy to guess (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) must not be used.
  • Personal data (e.g. birthdays) or other data that could be deduced from knowledge of the code holder may not be used as a code.
  • After changing the code, the lock m u s t b e checked several times with the door open.

General Information

  • If an action has been carried out successfully, the green LED above the “Ready to open” icon lights up at the end, while the red LED above the “Input rejection/locking time/battery” icon lights up to indicate that the action has been carried out successfully.
  • Indicates that the action is faulty. In this case, the original settings are retained. The yellow LED flashes to indicate a button entry.

Signal Tones And Commissioning

Signal Tones

Commissioning

Remove the screws from the battery compartment cover using the enclosed Allen key (size 1.5) and slide the cover with the Favor logo downwards. Now insert the emergency key into the lock and turn it anti-clockwise as far as it will go. Turn the knob a quarter of a turn clockwise and open the door. Now insert the batteries in the safe (4 batteries, LR6 / AA / 1.5V / alkaline) and screw the battery compartment back on.

Press the red button on the inside of the safe door (the yellow LED flashes twice together with 2 high-pitched signal tones) The yellow LED lights up during the programming process. Enter the new Enter the opening code (3-8 digits) and press “Enter”. A successful code change is confirmed with 2 high- pitched tones together with the green LED flashing twice.

Assembly Instructions

  • The safe only fulfils its intended protective function once it has been secured to a solid part of the building.
  • Please use the anchorage points provided to establish the necessary fixed connection.

Code change

  • Enter the valid opening code
  • Press “Enter” and turn the rotary knob a quarter turn clockwise.
  • Open the safe and wait until the green LED above the ready to open icon has gone out. Press the red button on the inside of the safe door (the yellow LED flashes twice together with 2 high-pitched beeps)
  • The yellow LED lights up during the programming process. Enter the new opening code (3-8 digits) and press “Enter”. A successful code change is confirmed with 2 high-pitched tones together with the green LED flashing twice.

Opening with the emergency lock

  • Remove the screws from the battery compartment and slide the battery compartment cover downwards.
  • Remove the batteries.
  • Now insert the emergency key into the lock and turn it anticlockwise as far as it will go.
  • Turn the knob a quarter turn clockwise and open the door.
