WEBBING POWER PULLER
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY PRECAUTION:
ALWAYS INSPECT THE WEBBING THROUGHOUT ITS LENGTH FOR KINKS, FRAYS OR DAMAGE BEFORE USING YOUR PULLER.
TO EXTEND WEBBING:
- Secure hooks and pulley to a rigid anchor. Depress switch of drive pawl in the position showed as detail “A”.
- Depress. Stop pawl in direction of arrow at detail “B”.
- At the same time, pull webbing until desired slack is obtained.
TO RAISE LOAD OR APPLY TENSION:
- Engage drive pawl and ratchet wheel. The position of switch showed as detail “A”.
- Operate handle in direction of arrow at detail “B”. Each stroke of handle will wind webbing to pull load.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERLOAD
CAUTION: Make sure your webbing power puller is maintained in safe and proper working condition by observing the following rules:
- Inspect webbing regularly. Check for fraying, kinks, broken strands or distortion. If they appear, the webbing should be replaced.
- Do not pull webbing over or around ‘a corner.
- Do not wrap webbing around any object and hook it back on itself.
- Know how much load you are pulling. DO NOT OVERLOAD.
- Never use a “cheater” pipe or other device to lengthen the handle for additional leverage. This will cause it to bend or break thereby destroying the tool. .
- DO NOT operate puller with less than 3 wraps of webbing on the spindle.
- If possible, always use an adequate sling, eyebolt or other accessory attached to the load to be pulled.
Always make sure that there is positive engagement of the puller hook to the load.
