OG Rear Crash Bar for Harley-Davidson Bagger Installation Instructions-1.0

Remove the seat, both side covers, and both saddlebags. If the bike is equipped with seat bumpers, remove them as well.

Using a T45 socket, a T40 socket, a 9/16” wrench, and a 1/2” wrench, remove the bag rail.
Make sure to keep all the hardware we will be reusing them for the install

Reinstall the small OEM bolt and nut in its original hole using the T40 socket and 1/2” wrench.
Torque this bolt to 15-ft-lbs
Note that the rear crash bar will not use this bolt. Refer to the picture for the bolt and the location it must go back to.

Install the rear crash bar:
• Using a 7/32” Allen socket, screw in the included FHCS 3/8”-16×1 bolt first into the threaded hole in the top of your frame (under the seat).
• Install the OEM shortest torx screw in the center hole of your frame.
• Lastly, screw in the second OEM torx screw at the rear of the bike through the subframe. (Longest bolt)
• Please refer to the picture for the order in which to install the hardware

Torque all three fasteners to 30 ft-lbs

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side of the bike.

Reinstall side covers, saddlebags, and seat.

Install your slider tips.
