This manual contains many “Warnings” and “Cautions” concerning the consequences of failing to maintain or inspect your bicycle.
Assembly
The following assembly steps are only a general guide to assist in the assembly of your bike from electric bikes and is not a complete or comprehensive manual of all aspects of assembly, maintenance, and repair.
We recommend you consult a certified, reputable bike mechanic to assist in the assembly, repair, and maintenance of your bike
Step 1 : Unpack the e-bike from the carton and carefully set out all
contents of the box. Remove packaging material protecting the bike frame and
components.
Please recycle packaging materials especially cardboard and foam (all #6 EPS
foam)
Ensure all pieces are included in the package including:
- Flgoo S1 E-bike
- Manual(s)
- Assembly Toolkit
- Front fender
- Front Wheel
- Hand connector
- Charger
- Pedals (marked left and right)
- Battery Keys (two, identical with the number)
step:
- After receiving the goods, open the carton and lift the car and accessories out.
- Unscrew the screws on both sides of the front wheel by hand.
- The disc brake disc is placed in the middle of the pad of the disc brake. Put the front wheel into the fork and secure the front wheel with the 13-15 wrench in the kit.
- Use the M5 Allen wrench in the tool bag to loosen all the four screws of the stem, install the handlebar, and then tighten the four screws to fix it.
- Take out the pedals in the small carton, distinguish the left and right, and tighten them with the 13 and 15 wrenches in the kit.
- Find the M6 Allen key, seat cushion, and seat post in the kit. Align the position as shown in the figure, and tighten the screws with a wrench.
- Insert the seat tube, adjust the height according to the position you need, lock the seat tube clip and pay attention not to be lower than the safety line of the seat tube
- Find the 8-10 open-end wrench, the M5 inner hexagonal wrench, the fixing screws of the mud plate and the mud plate, and install them as shown in the figure.
Disc Brakes
- Check the tightness of the six mounting bolts holding the brake rotor onto the wheel. If you need to remove these bolts, be sure to us a thread-locking compound when re-installing them.
- Make sure the two bolts securing the caliper bracket to the fork are tightened.
- Thread the brake cable through the caliper and secure it with the cable fixing bolt.
- Loosen the two caliper mounting bolts enough to allow the brake caliper to float freely.
Derailleur Systems
The derailleur system includes the front and rear derailleurs, the shift levers, and the derailleur control cables, all of which must function correctly for smooth gear shifting to occur. Although the front and rear derailleurs are initially adjusted at the factory, you will need to inspect and readjust both before riding the bicycle.
Rear Derailleur
Begin by shifting the rear shifter to the largest number indicated, loosen the cable from the rear derailleur cable anchor bolt, and place the chain on the smallest sprocket. Adjust the High limit screw so the guide pulley and the smallest sprocket are lined up vertically. Re-tighten the cable, pull out any slack, and retighten the anchor bolt securely. Shift through the gears, making sure each gear achieved is done quietly and without hesitation. If necessary, use the barrel adjuster to fine-tune the cable tension by turning it in the direction you want the chain to go.
For example : turning clockwise will loosen the cable tension and move the chain away from the wheel, while turning counter-clockwise will tighten cable tension and direct the chain towards the wheel.
Drivetrain
The drivetrain of the electric bicycle refers to all parts that transmit power to the rear wheel. This includes the pedals, chain, chain wheel, crank set and freewheel.
Pedals
These help to keep the feet correctly supported and allow the rider to exert pulling force, as well as downward pressure, on the pedals.
Inspection
Pedals should be inspected every month, taking note of the following areas:
- Check correct tightness into the crank arms. If pedals become loose, they will not only be dangerous but will also cause damage to the cranks
- Check that pedal bearings are adjusted properly. Move the pedals up, down, right to left, and also rotate them by hand. If you suspect any looseness or roughness in the pedal bearings, adjustment, lubrication, or replacement may be required.
- Ensure that the front and rear pedal reflectors are clean and fitted securely.
Important:
The left pedal has left-handed threads and turns counterclockwise to tighten
Note : Only after the fault is eliminated, the fault display interface can be exited. After a fault occurs, please turn off the power and ride after the fault is eliminated.
Using
When using electric vehicles, pay attention to safe driving and avoid collisions with instruments.
FAQ
- Q: Why can’t it be turned on?
- Answer: Please check the contact reliability between the instrument harness and the connector of the controller, or whether the battery switch is turned on.
- Q: How to deal with the fault code displayed on the meter?
- Answer : Please refer to the error code instructions to troubleshoot by yourself. If you cannot troubleshoot, please go to the electric vehicle maintenance point for repairs in time.
How To Remove Your Battery
Taking out : Twist the key with one hand, hold the head of the battery with the other hand, and take out the whole thing.
Installation: The battery tail is aligned, and the head is lightly pressed to snap back automatically.
Handlebar Adjustment
Handlebar Adjustment & Height
- Maximum comfort is usually obtained when the handlebar height is equal to or slightly higher than the height of the seat. You may wish to try different heights to find the most comfortable position
- The stem’s “Minimum Insertion” should not be the top of the headset. If the stem is extended beyond this mark, the stem may break or damage the fork’s steering tube, which could cause you to lose control or become injured.
- Place the front wheel of the bicycle between your legs and attempt to twist the handlebar/stem assembly using a reasonable amount of force. There should not be any play in the handlebars or in relation to the wheel. If you can twist the handlebars while the wheel remains in place, do not ride it until proper alignment is obtained. Make sure to tighten all bolts accordingly before use.
- Failure to properly tighten any of these properly could result in losing control of the bike and becoming injured.
TAG (Twist & Go)
Before you begin riding, turn the main power switch on, then start riding as you would ride any regular, non-motor-assisted bicycle. After you have begun to ride, slowly twist the throttle (on equipped models) towards you. The more you twist the throttle, the more power will be released. Once you have twisted the throttle all the way, the motor will accelerate you to its full speed of up to 32 MPH.
Riding Options
Option 1 : The traditional way of riding a bicycle without any power
assistance, enjoy the fun of riding. Do not turn on the power.
Adjust the height of the bike seat, pay attention to the direction of the
cushion, and then lock it. Stepping on the front third of the foot on the
pedals is the most conducive to exerting force.
Option 2 : Throttle acceleration mode is similar to how a motorcycle or
scooter operates. Press the throttle, and the electric motor delivers power
and propels you and the bike forward. In throttle mode, we have 5 options
choice of gears. Long press the power button to turn on the meter. According
to the needs of the rider, the throttle speed can be controlled by itself. The
more you press down on the thumb handle, the faster the speed will be, with a
maximum speed of 55km/h.
Option 3 : Pedal assist is a mode that only provides power when you are
pedaling. If you are used to riding a traditional bike, the pedal assist mode
has a more riding feel than the throttle mode. Because you can fully focus on
your pedaling, you don’t have to keep the accelerator in a certain position,
the transmission can be manually adjusted with 7 gears, which can cope with
different road sections, and you can step on the gravity gear when going
uphill Long press the power button to turn on the display. In the pedal mode,
the power assist is generated, and the power assist in the 0 gear is invalid.
You can adjust the “+” and “-” keys of the meter to select the appropriate
gear, and the motor will provide power. There are five gears from 1 to 5 to
choose from. The speed of gear 1 is 10km/h, the speed of gear 2 is 20km/h, the
speed of gear 3 is 30km/h, the speed of gear 4 is 40km/h, and the speed of
gear 5 is 50km/h. At the same time, the booster mode can be used in
conjunction with gear shifting for better results.
Attached picture Chain Transmission
Note : How to change the Shimano 7-speed transmission, high speed and low speed Corresponding of thumbstick and flywheel
The rider can adjust or shrink the chain plate through the transmission according to his own needs, so as to drive the bicycle forward with less effort. The main reason is to use the different gear ratios between the chain plate and the flywheel to change the forward speed; The kinetic energy is much faster than the traditional single chain disc (non-variable speed) bicycle, and the driving is also labor-saving. The variable speed bicycle can even achieve the ability of “zero intensity” on steep slopes
When the dial is at 1, the chain is at the largest circle of the flywheel, and riding is the most labor-saving.
When the dial is at 2, the chain is at the second largest circle of the flywheel.
When the dial is at 3, the chain is at the third turn of the flywheel.
When the dial is at 4, the chain is at the 4th circle of the freewheel.
When the dial is at 5, the chain is at the 5th circle of the flywheel
When the dial is at 7, the chain is at the smallest circle of the flywheel
which most laborious at this time
Note: How to change the gear of accelerator acceleration mode, and the
speed per hour of each gear.
Switch riding gears: Short press the ‘+ button to increase the gear, and
short press the “- button to decrease the gear. Entering and exiting the
assist mode: In the power-on state, press and hold the “-‘ button for about 3
seconds to enter the walking assist mode, and release the”- button to return
to the riding gear.
WARNING
The walking assist mode is only suitable for walking the stroller, do not use it while riding.
Battery Care
Proper maintenance of your batteries will maximize their lifespan and capacity. FIGOO BIKE. Bicycles warranty your new batteries from the date of purchase for 1 year if properly cared for. Even with proper care, batteries do not last forever. Every time the battery is discharged and subsequently recharged, its relative capacity decreases by a small percentage. With proper care, the life span of your batteries will reach their maximum life span. To maximize your battery life, please follow t he instructions in this guide.
-
Batteries should be fully charged immediately when they are received for the full recommended charge times.
-
Lithium-lon Recommended Charge Time: 4-6 hours. For a complete, 100% charge, leave the battery on the charger for one full hour after the charger indicator light turns green
-
Do not charge batteries for longer than 24 hours.
-
Lithium-lon batteries do not have a “memory”. Partial discharge/charge cycles will not harm the batteries’ capacity or performance.
-
Always be sure to turn the bicycle power switch to “OFF” after each use.
If you leave the power switch in the “ON” position, the batteries may reach a stage at which they will no longer hold a charge. Storage Storing your batteries for a long period of time (longer than two months): -
Charge your batteries every 90 days to avoid capacity loss. Battery life slowly shortens when left unused for a long period of time. If the battery cells are left to reach a critically low voltage, their lifespan and capacity will be permanently reduced
-
Avoid storing your batteries in extremely hot or cold temperatures.
-
Always disconnect your charger from the wall outlet and battery before storing the battery.

For the most comfortable riding position and best possible pedaling efficiency, the seat height should be set correctly according to the rider’s leg length. The correct seat height should prevent leg strain from over-extension. When sitting on the bicycle, place your foot onto the pedal. The correct seat height will allow the knee to be slightly bent in this position. If the rider places their heel on the pedal, the leg should be almost straight. Under no circumstances should the seat post project from the frame beyond its
“Minimum Insertion” or “Maximum Extension” mark. If your seat post exceeds these markings, the seat post or frame may break. Before your first ride, make sure to tighten the seat clamp appropriately. A loose seat clamp can cause damage to the bicycle or for the rider to lose control. Periodically check to make sure that the seat clamp is properly tightened.
Reach
To obtain maximum comfort, the rider should not overextend their reach when
riding
To adjust this distance, the position of the seat can be adjusted in relation
to the seat post.
