Product Usage Instructions
To use the FOSC400-A4-16-1-NGV dome closure, follow these instructions:
- Select the appropriate cable type for compatibility. The closure is compatible with most common cable types, such as loose tube, central core, and ribbon fiber.
- Ensure the closure is compatible with the environment. It can be used in aerial, pedestal, and underground (up to 5 meters) environments.
- If using CommScope’s CWDM modules and optical splitter trays, ensure compatibility with the closure.
- Prepare the cables for splicing by accessing the hinged FOSC splice trays. Each tray can be accessed individually without disturbing other trays.
- Place the cables into the appropriate cable ports on the closure. There is 1 oval port for 2 cables and 4 round ports.
- Seal the cables using heat shrink and the dome-to-base clamp with O-ring for secure closure sealing.
- Mount the closure in the desired location, whether it be on a pole, strand, or wall.
- If using the closure in a feeder network area, ensure that the ground feed-through is included for proper grounding.
- If included, place the provided 16-way heat shrink splice tray inside the closure for organizing and managing splices.
- The closure has a maximum splicing capacity of 48 single fusion fibers or 24 single splice fibers (12 fibers per splice).
