SURFACE MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
FOLLOW STEPS 1-3 (FOR RECESS MOUNT, BEGIN ON PAGE 7)
STEP 1:
-
Level bottom bracket (C) to wall and mark mounting points on wall through the bottom bracket (C).
NOTE: Height of bottom bracket should be a minimum 3 in. above faucet. -
Drill holes in marked spots on wall and insert drywall anchors (2). NOTE: Drywall anchors (2) are not necessary if the mounting screws (3) will be screwed directly into a stud.
NOTE: It is recommended that the Cabinet is mounted directly into studs. -
Complete mounting by tightening mounting screws (3) into studs or wall anchors (2).
Use a 1/4 in. (6 mm) drill bit for drywall anchor installation. Use a 1/8 in. (3mm) drill bit for direct stud installation.
NOTE: If installing into a material other than drywall or into stud, consult a professional for proper installation.
STEP 2:
This medicine cabinet is reversible, so that the door can open in either direction (from left to right, or from right to left). This means you may hang the cabinet with the hinges on the right OR turn the entire cabinet “upside down” and hang it with the hinges on the left.
Install two top brackets (B) by inserting the rounded edge into the slot opening in the top of the cabinet body (A). Slide one top bracket (B) to the LEFT of the slot opening and other to the RIGHT slot opening.
Place the cabinet body onto the bottom bracket (C). Make sure that the slot on the bottom of the cabinet body is secure on the bottom bracket.
NOTE: It is recommended that the top brackets (B) are positioned for mounting screws going directly into studs.
Mark mounting points on wall through the top brackets (B). Drill holes in
marked spots on wall and insert drywall anchors (2).
NOTE: Drywall anchors (2) are not necessary if the mounting screws (3)
will be screwed directly into a stud.
Secure the cabinet body (A) to the wall using two mounting screws (3), as shown.
NOTE: The cabinet body (A) must be level for the doors to work properly. If needed, add shims to plumb the cabinet body (A).
STEP 3:
Fasten the side mirrors (D) to the cabinet body (A) with side mirror screws
(1), as shown.
RECESS MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Rough opening is not an exact measurement. The extra space allows cabinet to be inserted into the opening. Add shims to level and tighten space if necessary. Additional framing might be required.
STEP 1:
NOTE: Before cutting the rough opening, check for pipes, electrical cables, or heating ducts. If it is required to remove part of stud, make sure that the wall is not a load bearing wall.
Refer to page 3 for rough wall opening dimensions.
Prepare the opening in the wall for the cabinet body (A). Make sure that there is support on both sides of the opening to attach the cabinet body (A), as shown.
NOTE: The cabinet height should be a minimum 3 in. above faucet.
STEP 2:
Position the cabinet body (A) in the rough wall opening. Make sure that the cabinet body flange covers the wall opening uniformly. Secure both sides of the cabinet body to the wall supports using mounting screws (3).
NOTE: The cabinet body (A) must be level for the door to work properly.
